Good Morning,

Just plopped in to start this thing up.
How's everyone doing ? SOSDD here.
Its beautiful out but still way to cold. If I don't see some flowers or warm weather soon I'm gonna crack

I'm just gonna grab me some oatmeal and I'll be back.

How's everyone's Lent Challenge coming along ?

So far so good here

Hugs, Leenie

Good morning.

I actually got up this morning and made it to the gym. I put on my bathing suit this morning so I think that pushed me a little. That is the only thing about going on vacation, I have to wear a bathing suit.

Leens I should go take a pic of the flowers outside work. I swear those things grew over the weekend. I came to work Monday and the planters were full of flowers. They are so pretty. I love spring time down south. There are buds all over the trees right now. Good thing I don't have allergies I would be miserable.

Nothing much going on around here. Chris is in bed today so he can't get away when I make him watch some tv shows with me that I've taped. He actually doesn't mind my soap operas as much as he does other shows...but then he's had almost 17 years to learn the characters and the plots.

Missed chat last night...or rather, I went in 3 times and no one was there. Guess everyone was busy.

I need to bake something sweet around here today. Found my frozen cookie dough while looking for my roast...which by the way is still on the missing list.

Dad is doing better. He scared me there for a bit.

Sunday was a great day. After church we went out with friends to Applebees for lunch. They didn't have fish so I got the grilled chicken which came with wedge potatoes, grilled zuchinni and carrots and garlic toast. I ate every last bite. Because it was Chris' birthday, the manager sent him over the Hershey's 3 story cake...a HUGE piece. Chris ate a couple bites and said it was too sweet for him soooooo we all grabbed our forks and pitched in. We kept passing the plate (I and lady friend only had a couple bites...seriously!!) and finally told the man friend to finish it off...which he didn't mind doing. We didn't get home til almost 4 and I was so wiped out I laid down and slept til 8. I could stand a few more days like that.

While typing this, Chris has went to sleep. Now I have to go and wake him up by pestering him. Later.....

Hey Gang!!!

Sweetie? how does one lose a roast??? I am so glad that yall were treated to a lunch at Applebees! It sounds yummy good! So glad that you have people around like that to bless you and treat you special - just like you should be treated! ;-)

Liz - sounds like things are busy around there as usual. Enjoy spending some time talking with your friends. BTW my 8 day trip to Branson isn't until June - I have a long time to talk myself out of it. haha

Kemp - so proud of you for making it to the gym! You go girl! I do not remember the last time I put on a bathing suit - yikes.

Hey Leenie - how was the oatmeal? I love oatmeal - comfort food to me - and its filling. I can have that for breakfast and not be thinking about lunch until well......lunchtime! ;-) I hope it spring hits there soon. We actually had sunshine on Sunday and Monday and still a little bit today but its suppose to start raining tomorrow. :-( We could go about 3 months without any rain. It is soooooo wet here but it is warming up and I think I see some green stuff coming out of the ground! yea!

Where's everybody else at? Whassup? Everybody check in with just a quick hello/busy/goodby or something so that we know all is well.

hugs,
Cathy

Kem on the exercise !! I'm so envious on the flowers, seriously I went to the craft store yesterday, yes again, and got some artificial flowers for the inside of my house, I just need spring real bad

Sweet, just consider the roast MIA. Your lunch/dinner sounded so yummy, especially the last part CAKE. The last time I went to lunch w/friends the desert plate came around and I got a piece of Chocolate Raspberry cake, at first I thought wow, this is rich, but before you knew it, I ate the entire piece and it was a leenie size piece.......BIG !!!! No matter how rich or sweet, nobody's getting any of my desert, it was nice of Chris to share.

April ........ have funnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn !!!!

Liz, when your done w/your house, your more than welcome to start mine. I hate housework but love when I walk into a clean home after a long day here. When I go home and the house is a reck, I can almost feel myself growling.......

Cathy (yesterday's post) I don't blame you for not wanting to go somewhere for 8 days, the only time I was ever away from my home was in 1990, 10 days in the hospital and when I had Grace I was in the hospital for 8 days, but thats it. I don't mind day trips but to travel for a long time, especially w/out my bambino, forgedaboudit !!!!!

Janie, Anna, Tippy, Meg, Cin, Linny, ChrissyB, where is everyone ? we miss you all.

Hugs

Cathy, it's not like Chris had a choice on sharing the cake. we were all armed with our forks to take a bite whether he decided to share or keep for himself. Leenie I do think had you been there, you and I would have fought for the cake.

Spring I am ready for except that makes Summer closer and I hate hot weather. LeensI love going to Hobby Lobby or places like it and looking at their artificial flowers. I'd have some in every room but never can make a decision on what I want so I don['t bother.

Where is Linda???? Cin?????

Cathy you really should take the Branson trip. We were planning to go there with Mother and Dad but we lost Mother before it happened. Her and Dad loved it there and so wanted Chris and I to go with them. Think of the memories you'll have fun making!! Just hire Liz to come clean your wrecked house before you get back...and if she's not available, think of the exercise you'll get doing it yourself.

Good job Kemp on the exercise. I didn't do any today. I laid down to watch tv and ended up going to sleep with Chris. zzzzzzz

Later.......

Default Absolutely go on that trip Cathy!

It is important for you to do something like this for yourself...it rejuvenates you for life and it is good for your family to do without you for a while.

It is just as important for us to take care of ourselves emotionally as it is physically spiritually etc....We have a responsibility in my mind. It will make us more healthy on every level.

I don't believe in leaving babies for that long but a weekend is totally acceptable especially if they are with gramma or auntie...if we are honest sometimes it is easier to stay home...I know that I have to force myself to go and go these things but I always glad I did...

Yall are all right! I know you are! and my babies are 18 and 14, and will even be older by June! haha

Hubby said "you're mom's not gonna be around forever, you better go with her while she can still go, you may never get this chance again and you need to get away from all this fun for a week anyway! haha

Sooooooo Mom says I'm going, Hubby says I'm going, so I guess I'm going - assuming I don't have a nervous breakdown before we leave. It just comes at a really busy time - well enough of that - I'm going! :-)

thanks gang!

hugs, Cathy

Hi again everyone,

Not much happening here today. I have this spare bedroom....the bed is covered with all kinds of stuff....if I can't find a place for something.....it seems to go on the bed....well today I made progess with putting stuff away.....off the bed.....there was some Christmas stuff there....that got put away. Tomorrow I will work on it again.

I have been doing good the last few days with being OP....just have to keep it up.

Leenie......I love oatmeal....I make it in the microwave with milk....sometimes raisins or half an apple....yummy!!
I also hate housework....but I do some everyday....I find that when the kids are grown & moved out....the house doesn't get as messy.

Kemp......the buds are on your trees now & we have 4 feet of snow now!!

Liz.....you can do my housework also.....lol!!!

Well I should go & do the dishes now....from supper.
