Default BPII Is it the Diet or the Meds?

Over the past week since starting the South Beach Diet I have been experiencing increased cognitive dulling. I have few thoughts, do not process as well, am not sharp, and feel very foggy. Could it be that I am not eating enough and don't have the energy to fuel my mind from carbs, or could it be prolonged side effects of meds like Risperidal?

Hi Brockbabe,

Gee I wish I could answer your question. I would suggest calling your doctor and talking to him/her about these symptoms. When your dealing with meds, you should really talk to your doc and don't take advice from anyone on the internet.

However, we have had people on the Low Carb forum complain about a foggyness, dizzy weird kinda feeling check out this post http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=148890

Sounds like SB flu. Very common and doesn't last long. Eating beans or dairy seem to help as they both contain good carbs. If that doesn't help, ask your doctor.
