Default graduate student/ binge eating disorder/ depression/ far away from home

To one and all,
i am a new member of this forum and if possible i would like to ask all of you brave people out there to help and support me throughout my painful journey.
to make it short and sweet, i have struggled with weight all my life, in the past 3 years i went from 85 kg (187 lbs) to 119 lbs. I reached my ideal weight of 119 lbs this past summer, i thought with that accomplished i can make the impossible happen. i joined the graduate school of chemical engineering in the U.S. (i am from Lebanon originally) in January, i live by myself, i have no friends and no family around. Once school started, i managed to gain in the past 2 weeks only 20 lbs! I started binge eating since i feel so depressed and so alone. School is hectic by itself, now imagine adding the weight gain factor to it. Basically every day is like **** to me. I wake up in the morning saying to myself that today is the day to start Atkins yet around noon time and sometimes late at night when i feel lonely and depressed, i start eating and eating ... I am driving myself to ruin, i basically need someone to start atkins with me a.s.a.p. or someone who can just drop me an email or a message every once in a while and make me feel that i'm part of this world and that i can lose that weight again.
I am now at 140 lbs and i need to lose those 20 lbs quickly since i put them on in such a short period of time.
thank you all very much

Hi Doudou25 and

Congrats on your weight loss and starting school, its really awesome !!!!
There is a bunch of really great ladies here who are following the atkins plan and who have ooodles and oooodles of information and support they could give you. Have you looked at our Atkin section ? http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=117 Really, they are awesome and could help you with your journey.

Don't panic, and really, you don't want to lose it that fast, its not healthy. Other than looks, health should be your #1 concern when losing weight.

Give these ladies a shout and good luck !!!!! we're glad you found us.
