Good Morning Pretty Ladies,

Can we say TGIF !!!!

Its been a looong week, crazy and cold. I'm leaving early today (work that is) to go to the tax lady for my Mom. Other than that, sosdd here.

Kem, how are your new meds working out for you?

Cathy 70 degrees ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh sounds like heaven.

Sassy hang in there girlie

Cin glad the meetings are going well for yah. I don't understand the grocery store thing either. When they mention 1" of snow people act like they will be blizzered in for weeks. Crazy huh. The grocery store owners must LOVE winters.

Well kiddo's I must run and do some work... I'm here physically but mentally I'm on a nice tropical island watching the waves roll in.

Have a good friday

Good morning. It is nice and grey outside. That is ok. It makes it easier to do things inside when it is nasty outside.

Leen it is good to see you chat instead of just popping in. The meds seem to be working well. The only thing that I think is weird is that I will still have the urge to cry at anything. I wonder if that is just the fact that I am no longer on BC and my body is getting used to that. Who knows.

Kem, since I am off BC for a few years now, my moods are WACKY!!! So I'd say yes, it is possible that its because of them. I am now having to seriously track my periods and right in mid cycle I have to warn my DH because I go from 0 to, you don't even wanna look at me or I'll bite your head off. Never ever ever have I done or felt like this, middle during or after TOM. Its not fair ya know.

Hang in there hon.

Good Morning

TGIS Love it !!

I slept until 7:45 today which is a record I think for me LOL. This weekend is all about cleaning up and well, with the gray skys outside, it won't be hard to stay in.

How's everyone today, got any exciting plans for the weekend?

good morning gang

I haven't been on the computer much. The internet service at work was down while they were working on the cables. haven't had time for exercise either. I've got to figure something out.

Leenie - I'm glad you slept in until 7:45 this morning! I'm sure you needed it! It's back to cold and grey and dreary around here too.

My father-in-law turns 80 today so we are going over there after while for cake and ice cream.

We found out that our oldest son is insulin resistant. Did some blood work on him and did a fasting insulin test and his result was high in the range so the doc wants to put him on 1000 mgs of Glucophage a day (500 mgs the first week then 1000 mgs the 2nd week). I guess this would mean he is prediabetic which runs on both sides of our families. I've been wrapped up with trying to read up on it and get a better understanding about insulin resistance.

Anybody here taking Glucophage or Metformin? if so, can you tell me your experiences with it.

I'm doing a little picking up and washing clothes and gotta hit the showers and get ready to go to the birthday party.

later gaters

Cool Hello

Hey all.

Been real cold here. Haven't gotten much more snow, just cold........We haven't been going anywhere except for work and back...........

Only 5 more working nights until our 10-day vacation! We aren't going anywhere, just staying at home and enjoying it and maybe going and doing things in town and what not and we are not telling anybody (except for our co-workers obviously and you all lol) but we just want to enjoy our vacation without having people asking us to come and help them do this or that. We don't mind helping people out, but this will be our vacation.......

Cathy -- I am on Fortamet, which is a form of Metaformin, only different, it works better for me, the Glucophage and Metaformin made me awfully sick, but I know it does help a lot of people. A Dr. did give me a tip about Glucophage that may help your son, she said be sure to eat more lean protein and that should help alleviate the side effects, it still didn't work for me, but it may work for your son! My dr also gave me samples of a new presciption, Januvia (sp??) it is pretty good, but there were no drastic changes in my blood sugars or anything. I wish your son luck and hope he can get it in control before he actually gets diabetes. I have diabetes and wish I would have paid more attention when I was younger!

Hi to everybody out there! I hope you all are well and keeping warm!

Good Morning,

Cathy I'm sorry to hear about your son, but I'm so happy to know that there is help/meds for him. Why don't you poke around this forum and ask the ladies there http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=203 I am sure they can help. I believe even our darlink Ruthie can help you w/some questions.

Sassy I don't blame you one bit for not telling anyone. I do exactly the same thing. Every time I get a few seconds off its do this, do that... UT UH!!!! so when I get a day off or a week or so, mums the word. Its your time to escape so enjoy it.

Well today my goal is to finish the laundry. I also must eat better today. I started out good yesterday and it went to poop by last night, boy did I eat alot of junk and as I was doing it I was miserable...but I didn't stop myself....what gives?

Well ladies have an awesome day !!!

Love Yah
