I slice them and freeze them, they don't get black and yucky. I usually add them to protein shakes.

The other day, I tried slicing bananas and freezing them right when they're perfectly ripe. I added some cinnamon on top, and they were SO good!!

They take a lot less space when they're sliced in a container as opposed to frozen whole.

I'm so glad I found this post. My daughter was dying for bananas the other day while we were out shopping. I'm not eating any at this point. My boys had a couple but there are like 3-4 in the fridge. I found them this morning and decided I'd better do something with them soon before they go bad.

Thanks for all the tips everyone!

My coworker just told me about something that she told me tastes like cheesecake. She said that she mixes raw oats, yogurt, and a banana, and leaves it for a few hours. So...I mixed 1/2 C unflavored organic yogurt, 1/2 cup raw instant oatmeal, 1 banana, and cinnamon. I'm having it for breakfast tomorrow morning. I'll let you know if I think it tastes like cheesecake

Whole wheat anana pancakes - the sweetness of the banana actually means you don't have to use syrup....good way to save some calories. I have a recipe that comes out to less than 200 calories per serving. I can dig it up if you are interested in trying them.

That recipe sounds tasty. Please post it here and/or in the recipe forum.
