Today is much better than yesterday. I had a good sleep in until 10am (usually up by 6). Had a good night last night with friends (a few drinks... ONLY 2 Vodka and Diet 7), my spirits were lifted. And I also forgot to mention, I got a new game.
One thing about me is I'm a HUGE gamer. I love video games. I think that's why (soontobe)DH and I get along so well, lol.
That is great. Its good to get out! My dh is also a huge gamer! Although not as much now that he has me and the kids. His free time is spent between us and playing/finding new games!

I want to say thank you to all of you for your kind words and support.
Your welcome!

Jasmine31: It's crazy. You don't even know me, yet you are a pillar of support and strength. I have a good feeling that you, and others like you, are going to be one of the reasons I succeed. I'm going to weigh on the doc's scale, as well as my mom's to see where I end up. I'll keep you posted!
Awww thanx hun! This site has really helped motivate me and is a constant reminder every day. It really helps to be around like minded individuals!

And of course, little snacks in between. I left room in my cal count today for popcorn with a little butter!
MMMMMM.... My fav snack!!

It was so fattening and good. But... I thought of you Jasmine... LOl. I told myself that if I want to eat one meal that's not on my diet once a week or so that I'm not going to give up. I'm just going to continue the next day and that's what I am doing. So today I MADE myself get some exercise and ate a good breakfast and showered and got on the scale and it showed even more weight loss which I don't understand except for the AF thing might have something to do with it. So total is a 6 pound loss but the sad thing is my weight went up to 271 during our October 10 pound weight loss thing so... So weight now is 265. Not the best but at least the scales are mooooving down. Thank the LAWRD!
That is great! That is the biggest thing I have found is to give myself treat meals. If I am really craving something. I work it in to have it! Even if we goof up bad and have a bad day or two, oh well, shrug it off! The thing we need to remember is the big picture! As long as we keep trying we will never fail no matter how long it takes!!

Also, Adams peanut butter is pretty good. It's supposed to be all natural so if you don't have a peanut butter maker at the grocery store (usually in the health department) you could try Adams.
Anyway, have a great day!
I'll have to look! You too! Bye!!

Hi everyone!
Thanks for inviting me in this challenge Jasmine! It will work perfectly for me, even though we don't celebrate thanksgiving in the UK! I am aiming to lose 8 pounds and get to that elusive 200 pound mark. Then on the 7th December I am flying over to Chicago, and would LOVE to be 199 pounds!
Hello! I am with ya on that one!

I just realized it is exactly 8 weeks til x~mas today and I would LOVE to hit 199 by then! I know I can do it!! You can do it too!!!

This Sunday I weighed in and have lost 2 pounds, which I am really happy about! I also measured myself, and have started to lose the inches, some of my clothes are starting to look baggier, and that is such a boost!
Take care, all!
That is great! Keep it up!!!

I didn't wanna spend $120 on the kit, so I won one off ebay for $40.
That is a good idea. Let us know how you like it!!

Thanks very much for the support, ladies. You are wonderful.
Jasmine, I think that I will take your advice and make my goal to just not b/p, and to stay as healthy as possible.
I am glad we can help! That is a great plan!

Good Monday Morning everyone! My sunday turned out to be not so good, I let the snacks and bad eating win. Thankfully its monday and I can get right back on the wagon and do this! Busy couple of days for me so that should keep me out of trouble for awhile! I hope everyone has a great day!
~melissa
Don't worry, just get back up and try again!

You can do it! We will never fail as long as we keep trying!

Total Cals: 1462
Martin I do think that is too low for ya! You might want to start at 1700-1800 a day and see if you can lose on that! I am losing on 1700-1800 cals myself and I am less than you. (I do also walk at least 60 minutes a day) If you go too low too soon, it will be harder to cut later. Also remember that if your body thinks it is starving you will be less apt too lose. Take a look at the womans nutritional calculator and see what ya think! Either way I am glad you are off to a good start!

30 mins aerobics, grociery shopping, medium house cleaning, and I might take a walk, but it's so cold and snowy out!
You know what? They have exercise video recommendations in the fitness forum, walk away the pounds, you are supposed to be able to do it in your house!

Today will be hard I'm going to my in-laws' for Beef Dips, and they are wildly crazy about the greasy foods (you know, the foods we love to hate, but love to love more! LOL). I'm bringing my own salad. I may just nix the Beef Dip, and bring a turkey sandwich to go with my salad!
Yesterday wasn't as good. I caved at the last second. I ended up eating a chocolate bar, and the entire time I was thinking, "That's okay. You're making up for it in other ways." BUT I'M NOT! There is to be NO making up!! Just losing!! I came out with a stronger resolve for today. KEEP ME AWAY FROM CHOCOLATE!
It's getting hard with the hubby. One minute he's buying chocolate and bringing it up to me, and the next he's chastising me for drinking 1/2 glass of eggnog (accounted for in my daily calorie count). When he did that, I felt like slapping him . He and I have to have yet another talk, I believe.
Good luck to everyone today!

(x posted for 20-somethings Monday Plan)

Okay weighed in yesterday at 158! So my goal is to lose 5lbs and that is going to be a struggle. Saturday I leave for vacation for a week and we all know that it hard just to not gain on vacation. My goal will be to maintain. I am going to where a pedometer while in D.C. to see how much I actually walk.
Yesterday the weather was so beautiful so I went for a 30 minute run/walk with the dog. That is out of the norm, I never exercise for fun, but it was so enjoyable to get out and enjoy the fall weather.
That sounds good. You can do it! I think maintenance would be a good idea while you are gone!

That is great! It used to drive me nuts when Joey had to work on the weekend! Now if he has the 10-7 shift once to twice a week I cant stand it!!

Question: I know that eating too little can cause your body to store all those calories for a later date, it thinks it has to because of the lack of sustinance it's receiving. I never realized how low my calaries really were, just how bad I ate. If I keep my calorie count to around 15-1600, will my body just keep storing them, or is that a healthy calorie count? My weight is just under 280 (I typed 180 for a second there.. I WISH! LOL). I want to do this right! I just can't seem to fit enough calories in. All the stuff I'm choosing is too healthy! hehehe
See my above post!

I have the same problems sometimes where I think the lower amount is enough and I need to eat more! Whole wheat bread is a great healthy way to add calories. Total cereal is a great way(it has like 100% of quite a few vitamins and minerals) I try to have a yogurt too! Try adding brown rice, etc.

Hi hun! I am so glad to have ya!!!
Everything sounds good! Be careful with the low carbs and remember that not all carbs are equal. If you want a link I can pm ya one!
