Morning chicks!

Comments first!
DewCan Diana: I don’t usually start work until 8:30, which is plenty early for me. This call is only at 7:00 because we had to schedule around other people who are super busy all the time. Why they would schedule themselves consistently for 16-hour days is beyond me!
My wedding is October 7. It was going to be September, but we changed the date a number of times. But now we’ve got things booked, so it’s definitely Oct. 7!

ChicCityChick Diana: Wow, being sick, a new job, and a new house all in the same week?! That’s enough to have any chick stressed to the max! Pedometers are a great motivating tool. I got one not too long ago… I wonder what I did with it? Good luck with the wellness program and the weigh-in!

Jennifer: I volunteer to set up the next challenge. I’ll try to get it up sometime on Monday. I have to come to work, but I have a feeling not much work will be done, so I should get the chance to post something then.

Brandy: Are you feeling better? How was your rafting trip?

Boy, I’m having a good day today. My conference call this morning went fabulously, even if it was way too stinking early. I impressed everyone and we got a lot accomplished. My boss told me that I’m getting the empty office I’ve been trying to get for the past year and that they may be hiring someone else to do my job at least part time so that I can transition to a marketing position (WOO!), and then a few minutes later she asked me if I was losing weight.
Yep, today is a good day.

Yesterday was ok. I was a bit snappy, but I had a few good things happen that are completely irrelevant to everyone but me. Food went ok, I think calories came in around 1415. Too many carbs—lunch was a congratulations meal from my office for those who participated in the Walk 100 Miles in 100 Days challenge, which I did—but it was still healthy. Just more carb-heavy than I would have liked. I didn’t do too badly though. I had to go to my parents’ after work to pick up my car, and I didn’t get home until late, so no exercise once again. There WILL be exercise tonight, no ifs, ands, or buts. The scale is at 210.0 this morning, but whatever.

Today is my grandma’s birthday. I will have to call her in a little while. I sent her present down with my mom yesterday. I got her a set of pajamas, because she is one of those people who is really hard to shop for, and everyone loves pajamas.

OK, I’m rambling now. I hope you’re all having a wonderful day!

Still have zero motivation, hope you're all doing better. Maybe the new month will fix me.

Hi gals,

I finally have the time for a post. My mood and health seem to be back to normal finally. I had a bad couple of weeks. Thank goodness its over.

My rafting trip was in the New River in WV. I rock climbed the 1st day, and truly loved every moment of it. I made it to the top of all our climbs even though I fell off 1 route 4 times before I made it to the top. It was a wonderful feeling when I finally reached the top. Rafting was the 2nd day. The river was a bit low, so the rapids were not as big as they have been the past few years. It was still fun, but not as exciting as usual. It was a great diversion from all the crap going on in my life, and helped me get rid of alot of stress.

Dewcan Diana-Hope the motivation comes back. My eating has been out of whack so I'm focusing on getting back on track there. Hope July finds us both successful.

elisha-Congrats on the new office, and the probable promotion! Your life is such a blur of activity these days. Part of me is jealous, and part sympathetic. I kinda like my laid back life, but at times I miss having so much to do.

ChicCity-I sure hope you start feeling better soon. Maybe now that the closing is over and your stress starts to subsids, your physical health will get back to normal.

I'm running a 5K on the 4th. I think I'm starting to gain confidence that I can do it, whereas earlier this week I was sort of freaking out over the whole thing. I dont have a time goal. My goal is to run the entire course without walking any of the race. I'm pretty sure I can do that.

Have a great Friday!

Morning chickies!

Yet another uber-quick post from me today!

Yesterday was ok, but not fabulous. Today will probably be about the same. Steve and I are going out for lunch, as we haven’t seen each other all week. The scale stayed the same this morning, 210.0. Calories came in around 1410 yesterday, if I remember correctly. Water was good, and exercise was 40 minutes on the bike.

I got the best deal at the grocery store last night—cherries for $1.29 a pound! I couldn’t believe it! Last time I bought them they were on sale for $4.99/pound. Of course I bought a huge bag (and ate a bunch of them, and brought more for a snack today), and hopefully I will make it back to buy more before they go off sale. I think I may take some to Steve’s parents’ picnic tomorrow. Does anyone know if you can freeze cherries? If you can, I’ll stock up!

OK, I have to get moving. Have a wonderful holiday, chicks!

Brandy, good to hear from you again. Wow that race is coming up soon here. You know you can do it. What's the longest you have run to date? Your trip sounds like fun, I'm glad you enjoyed it. You really needed this!

Elisha, that is a good deal!! I don't know anything about freezing them, but I do know they make the best preserves!!! Hmmm...with Canadian conversion that is probably 1.40 a lb Canadian and they are on sale here for 1.99 a lb, so you ahve the better deal. I'll be buying a bunch at my price too. Have a good lunch with Steve.

Today is a new day right? I will do better today!!

Happy July all you chickies...whereever you are!!!!

I'm back from vacation. 10 days of camping certainly relaxed me. You should see the mounds of laundry in my laundry room!!! OMG!!! I'm going to pick away at it the rest of this week and try to get most of it done before next Monday!!! How can 3 people produce so much laundry???

I did pretty good the first 1/2 of vacation with food and diet and by about Day 5, I stopped counting points. I still got plenty of exercise...walked every day except one when we were in the car visiting all day! My dog now thinks that it is a priority to go for a walk first thing in the morning...you should here her whine as soon as she sees me in the morning! Pathetic! It was good for both of us! I do want to keep up with that morning exercise, but for me it was about the fresh air and I unfortunately can't leave the house in the morning with a 6 year old here all by herself! Oh well...there's always other forms of exercise, right???

I'm pretty sure I'm still at the same weight, though... I'll weigh in this morning. TOM arrived this past weekend, so that was fun! I'm not sure about how I will continue with WW now...if I have to rejoin after missing 3 weeks or what??? I'll check into it next week! How are my WW buddies here doing? Lacking motivation??? What's up with that??? Do we need to start a new challenge here???????????????????//

OK chickies...time to go get ready for my first day back to work!!! UGH!!! I'm dreading it...can you tell?
