Welp, it happened. I lost the job at the agency. They were running out of work and were getting rid of some of the freelancers. I'm not sure who stayed and who left, but I was part of the list that was let go. I felt it could have been handled better, I thought I would get a few days notice, but I was called into a meeting room and told that yesterday was my last day. Not only that, but the boss arranged for me to get a ride home with the person I carpool with (who's a full time employee). Felt like I was being ushered out of the building quietly and didn't get a chance to say goodbye to people. Makes me feel like I got fired or I did something wrong, but I know that's not true. The person who gave me a ride home was furious when he found out that I was being let go, he said I was the best freelancer there and was going to be having words with the boss about what a mistake he had made. That made me feel really good despite it all.

I've not been doing a good job at weight loss, so gardenerjoy no goal for me this month I just wanna keep my head above water for now! I seem to be hanging in there at 193 lbs which is good, but I'm ready to start seeing some 180 numbers soon I hope! Tomorrow I'm getting a tattoo, so I won't be able to workout for a week, I'm going to try and walk more to counteract it and really start IF again. I've been a bit slack with it but it was working for me! Just need to refocus my efforts.

Hang in there everyone, January is always a sh!tty month!!

Got through my stressful work time for the month. Acutually had my first migraine in many years yesterday. I used to get them ALL the time, and they were awful, but haven't had one in about a decade. Not sure why I got one yesterday. But I've been doing a bit better on the eating front the last couple days.

I've been MIA with a miserable cold/cough/chest congestion. Finally getting my head back after 2+ weeks. I haven't exercised much (couldn't breathe!) and have had way too many comfort foods/bad carbs. A quick check on the scale today has me up 1.5 lbs, but tomorrow is my official weigh in.

Welcome to all the new folks. Check in frequently and let us know how it's going. Riestrella, I'm sorry about the job. Sudden departures are lousy but seem to be the norm now a days. Lacerta, feel better. Migraines are miserable. And happy for you to be back on track. Spring is coming! VickieLou, congrats on the steady losses!

I felt alone and binged again last night. I feel awful about it. I just moved to the area and have no friends. Joe

Been a bit of an indulgent weekend! Saturday I got my tattoo, it's beautiful! The artist did a great job. I didn't eat much in the morning/day - a bagel and a granola bar between 10am - 6pm. Then I went to Wendy's after the tattoo, I wanted to treat myself to a burger without breaking the bank and it was delicious. Of all the sh!tty fast food places Wendy's is my favourite! Then I started stuffing my face with M&M's because that's how I roll. Sunday I wanted to be better, I had aimed to start up IF and stop eating at 7pm, but I ended up having a drink in the evening which triggered my hunger and I had a PB sandwich too. Not good!

Today is a new week and a new start now I'm no longer working at the agency. Loads of people from the agency reached out to me and sent their love, said they couldn't believe it, which made me very happy to know I was appreciated. The bitter part of me hopes that working there is a little less fun now that I'm gone hehe. I'm going to start IF today and try and make it a perfect week with one cheat day over the weekend. Since I can't work out because of my healing tattoo I need to focus on my food intake a bit better. The holidays really did throw me off course, I've not been able to recover since going back to CO. Trying to summon that energy and motivation that I had before the holidays, but I also have to go easy on myself, losing my biggest source of income is stressful and a big change.

Hope y'all have a great week ahead!

yangtzer - Moving to a new place is hard, it takes a while to find new friends. Hang in there, try going to meetups through meetup.com, there are even groups of facebook that have social events that can be good. Putting yourself out there is tough, but you can do it!

etherbunny - Sorry to hear you got so sick! Glad to hear you're on the mend.

Thank you for the support. I'm eating better today and finished my exercise. I'll try to drink tea instead of binge before bed.

I'm back going the right direction, which feels good. yangtzer, I'm also struggling with late night binging right now. I've been trying to set out ahead of time what I'm going to eat for the evening, so I can snack on it without eating the whole package of whatever. That helps me. I also need to up my protein more again to keep me satiated longer so I don't feel the need to snack. Good luck to you as we work on this together.

Holding steady at 194.4 lbs. I realized that I need to eat a MEAL for lunch, not just a granola bar, otherwise I feel starved for the rest of the day and end up breaking IF. My boyfriend went shopping so I threw on the ingredients to make a salad for lunch + rice balls for breakfast. When I last visited Japan I had rice balls for breakfast practically every day and I found that I felt full for a long time, so I'm going to try it out instead of my default egg sandwich. Ideally I'd like to eat Oatmeal to get that grain/fiber fix to keep me full, but I want to steer away from dairy and I can't bring myself to liking soy milk. I tried for years, you guys!

I made my first onigiri (rice ball) this morning and it went well! It ended up looking more like a sphere than a triangle, but I put tuna inside with a little bit of kewpie (Japanese mayo) and some Sriracha then wrapped it in seaweed. Next time I'm going to make two smaller balls instead of one big one. Gonna have a salad for lunch and then we've already got leftovers to reheat for dinner so my meals are sorted today.

Tattoo is healing nicely, no problems so far. I'm sure when it begins to scab it'll be a different story since it'll itch like crazy! Once the scabs peel away then it'll be practically healed and I can workout again. I want to go on walks in the meantime, but it's been super rainy here and I'm not supposed to get the tattoo wet. It's not gonna be my week for movement!

Hang in there yang and Lacerta! Protein is a great idea, I definitely need more of that throughout the day instead of just in the morning.

I ate fruits instead of binge last night.
Lacerta.. thanks for the suggestions. Instead of binge a whole lot, I found that if you binge a little bit and wait for a few minutes, the impulse will normally go away.

Proud of myself for not snacking after 7pm, even when my boyfriend came home with root beer and chips that I desperately wanted I said NO to that voice in my head and didn't eat I also had a salad for lunch which was a pretty big deal for me, however I did fail a little at trying to cut down on bread and had toast with my stew for dinner. I know I didn't need it...the stew had plenty of fiber in it, but I think it was just my cravings. The scale treated me for my efforts and I got a little drop this morning, huzzah!
