Thank you Lacerta! My family and I have a walk in the park planned on Sunday, I'm excited to get outside again.

I'm actually really happy with this morning's number. I had 2 pieces of pepperoni pizza yesterday and was still only up 0.2 pounds. Happy to see that. This was a good week for me even with the first 3 days being busy ones. If I can continue at this pace, I will make my goal for the month. I'm going to set my goal for next week to see a 173.x at least once during the week.

My boyfriend has been having a hard time this week, which has resulted in me feeling stressed as well. He's not good at compartmentalizing and tends to drag me down with him unknowingly. He's doing better now that he's close to completing a work deadline. I've ended up with a cold yesterday so took the day off from work. I probably could have gone in, but I needed a mental health day after the stresses of the week. Looks like the weather is gonna hold out being hot until October, which is a shame because I'm really in the mood to run! It's just too hot for me I probably wouldn't make it very far, haha.

Weight has been holding steady around 190/191 lbs this week, which is a minuscule drop but I'll take it Hanging in there even though I'm worn out mentally and a bit physically too! Gonna sign off here, sorry for lack of personals today but I'm suddenly feeling really run down . Time to rest up!

My blender blew up*
So after nearly a fortnight of green smoothies, I can't do this anymore. Secretly relieved, I was getting so bored of them!
So next week it's on to pescatarian keto. Didn't have any of the stuff I needed for that in stock today, so instead I've had a pretty healthy vegan food day, while upping my caloric budget to three quarters of my daily requirements just for today (as I really wanted to eat some food).

B = bran flakes with raisins, banana chips and soya milk
L = wholemeal toast and tahini
D = spicy beans, mashed potatoes and corn on the cob

T = 1700 kcal, with a deficit of 250 (or so cronometer tells me)

Tomorrow I may water fast so I can get into ketosis quickly for Monday. Looking forward to trying it, never done it before.

Weight this morning same as yesterday. I expect I'll put on half a pound or more tomorrow though.

*ie: burned out

Pine, good luck on your new keto journey. Hopefully it will be just what you need to be successful.

Riestrella, I understand how your boyfriend can affect your state-of-being. I feel the same way when I know my husband isn't happy. It definitely puts me in a negative mood and stresses me out.

Lacerta, **fingers crossed** that you see 173 next week!

Atarimae, I bet you could make you some keto-approved sweets that would cost a fraction of the already made ones. I made some mud pie brownies, cut them into servings, wrapped them in plastic wrap, and put them in the freezer. I usually take one with me to work everyday. It's thawed out by the time I eat my lunch and it is the perfect sweet addition to my lunch. It definitely helps curb any cravings and they are super easy to make.

Yang, I agree with Lacerta. You need some foods with plenty of good fats & moderate protein to help hold you over until your next meal. I eat so much less now that I'm doing keto because of the fat & protein content.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, I finished the week 4.4 pounds down from last week! I am still not where I was when I started this month, but I know I will get there if I keep staying on track. The hardest part is making myself stay on track on the weekends. I told my co-workers the other day that I'll be happy if I maintain this school year with the amount of stress that I've been dealing with this month. I wish I could be one of those persons that didn't eat when stressed...my comfort is food and that's what I turn to when I'm stressed. I need to find something else to find comfort in.

Lost 1 lb this week, huzzah! I had a bad week overall both in and out of weight loss. Nothing horrendous happened so I can be thankful when I put things into perspective, but just a lot of little things that added up to a pretty meh week. Seeing that I managed to lose 1 lb without really trying is really encouraging. Makes me think that when I do make an effort I can really do this. Onward and upwards!

sgregg - Well done on your loss! I know it's easy to say "well I'm not where I was at [x point in time]" but the important thing is to take things week by week and even day by day and not put too much pressure on yourself. We've got enough going on in our lives for more stress! Your 4.4 lb drop is a great achievement and you should be really proud of yourself for kicking butt this week.
You and I are exactly the same, I wish I was someone who could not eat when stressed but that's the first thing I do. Roll on up to the store and buy all the junk food *sigh*.

Today's weigh in was a pound up from yesterday and over a pound up from my low and also back to where I started the month AGAIN. I think it is a combination of things, but mostly just that I couldn't stop eating yesterday. I didn't eat bad things, I just ate large quantities of everything. I very possibly went over maintenance yesterday on good, healthy foods. I just was starving all day. So I'm not surprised to be up today, and quite frankly, I'm just glad I'm not up more than that.

I had one all-in meal (Taco Bell + a mochi donut and half an ice cream sandwich) coupled with an AYCE shabu shabu meal this weekend (Friday and Saturday nights respectively). Weighed in this morning at 152.6, which is pretty good considering two meals of, well..."cheating" so to speak! The benefit of the shabu shabu (hot pot) meal was that it was still very much keto friendly, so it was more so the quantity of food that was abnormal that day. I definitely felt no guilt eating on both days too, so I'm thinking my relationship with food is improving. I used to be the type of eater where if I were on a strict plan, one moment off would crush me. And then when I'd not focus, I'd feel guilty and still eat whatever crap I wanted, hence the unfortunate yoyo-ing. Glad to have found some sort of balance. I can't seem to reiterate enough that this "two days off" thing is really helping me to not feel so deprived.

Meal prepped some Hawaiian style beef stew for the hubby to eat this week, and concocted some weird combo of chicken, broccoli, cheese, and unsweetened golden bbq sauce into a casserole. That coupled with premade barbacoa and sausages from Sam's will probably keep me on track this week, along with a huge tub of spinach!

~~

Pine ~ Good luck with pescatarian keto! Make sure you get plenty of your electrolytes in so you don't have a super painful keto flu!

sgregg ~ I feel you! I'm both a stress eater and a bored eater! Just last night while watching some Riverdale, I ended up finishing the other half of my Quest chips + 6 pieces of Lily's chocolate. THIS WAS AFTER AYCE hotpot! But it's great that your numbers overall were at a loss for the week. Also, what recipe did you use for mud pie brownies? That sounds divine!

Atariemae, the recipe came from one of Kristie Sullivan's cook books. Her books are definitely worth investing in. She's got another one coming out in November. I know what you mean about the relationship with food. I still feel guilty when I eat something "off plan." I need to get over it and know that is isn't going to be forever and that I will keep losing if I keep trying.

Lacerta, I have days like that...usually during my PMS week. Hopefully you'll see a whoosh soon.

Riestrella, thanks for the encouragement. Here's to another week of staying on plan!
-------------------------------------------
I've had a pretty good weekend. No stress, but I still ate off plan. We shall see how it affects my weight loss by the end of the week. I keep saying that I'm going to start doing a weekly weigh-in, but I just cannot stay off my scale in the mornings. Maybe I should move it to the living room instead the bathroom. Yep, that's what I'm going to do....
Food for today:
B: eggs & bacon
L: broccoli-cheddar soup
D: cabbage soup

Sept 17 (weekend travel plans, hope I don't puff up too much) 182 (-1)

I'm hopeful I can make my 7lb monthly goal now that all the travel is over for the month. No big social events coming up so in plan eating should be ok. And work is slower so I should manage to fit in exercise regularly.
