My April goal is to lose 8 lbs and I am down 5! Yay! I bought new shoes after my son's puppy chewed up my old ones so the plan is to start walking this week, with said puppy. And probably my Great Pyrenees since she will cry a lot if I leave her behind. So adding walking should help with those final 3 lbs!

scarletrunner: Congrats on the excellent weight loss. Walks ...with said puppy. LOL aren't puppies the best? And you have a Great Pyrenees too! Oh that will make for interesting walks, combining the slow lumbering Pyreness with a rambunctious puppy ha ha. Creates a fun visual in my mind. Yes, you will definitely lose those 3 pounds doing that!

Follena Thanks!! And yes said puppy lol He is a Blue Heeler cross, lots of energy. Bella, my Pyre, isn't really slow but she has a consistent pace - no slower, no faster than she wants to go. Luckily it matches mine pretty good lol. We also have a St Bernard but he prefers to stay home. It is definitely a sight when I take my big guys for a walk! They are both very well leash trained, one on either side. Pup needs trained, so walks are an adventure!

That's awesome scarletrunner!

I am done with a whole bunch of travel I had to complete in the first two weeks of April. So, now that restaurants are "out", I can re-focus on my eating plan.

I am ingesting more water - which was one of my 2 April goals - so that part is going well. And, I did buy some gum at the various airports during my travels and I am trying to chew more gum. I need to put it in my line of vision because it really does put my hunger at bay if I pop in a piece!

Beeps: chewing gum really helps me too. Seems I really like to keep my mouth busy. And since there's no one to kiss ...

edited to add today we have our Easter potluck lunch and it's .. well ... an abundance of sin foods. Besides turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes and a plethora of desserts ... there's a LOT of carbs. So I will eat turkey and veggies and salad. Then I have suppers with family and friends both Friday and Saturday nights. One friend is a bonafide Ukrainian cook. We're talking perogies, cabbage rolls, dumplings and on and on. Last time I ate there she passes me each dish with such love in her eyes, the same love I know went into preparing said dish. So I'm going to be highly tested this week. Let's see how I do .... Lord give me strength.

Down six pounds so far!! I’m starting to think I won’t make it to 15 pounds lost, but I’m going to give it all I got for the next two weeks! Good job everyone!

ha ha, scarletrunner - I do spit out the gum after about 10 minutes, it's true. Just enough time to let a craving pass!

I lost 0.4 lbs this week. That is a "win" given the restaurants that I was chowing down at from Thurs to Sunday.

Even if I lose 0.5 lbs per week for the next couple of months, it really will keep me more pleased with my waistline.

Passed my first test with flying colors at yesterday's office potluck. Now gotta face Friday/Saturday night suppers. I'm cooking up the kids' favorite, chicken croquettes and they're breaded. I use Panko breadcrumbs ... tiny bit healthier. But I still need to only eat one or two. There will be lots of protein and veggies to choose from. And I'll bring my gum and stevia mints. Have to plan all this in my mind several days in advance or I could get really stupid in the head LOL

Ha! I would pick the time I start plateauing to do a weight goal. I have finally gotten down to around 292. So hurray.

The stress is off the charts in the office. I went home last night and disassociated on the couch for a few hours lol. Then a girlfriend from the office called me with some good news about a position being offered to her so that really lifted my spirits. Today is last day in office then a 4 day weekend. Will have a day of cooking tomorrow and then see my beloved sons two nights in a row. Nothing makes me happier than to be with them. Is that weird? I don't just love them. I really "like" them. Time for a mommy-brag. They're smart, funny, dress well, excellent conversationalists, have good women, one ultra smart the other ultra creative. I'm just in heaven ha ha
