Farn: Way to go. I've never had a double digit month, so 10 pounds sounds great to me.
Bonus Days 29: 189.4 30: 188.6 ---------------------------- Total Loss for Bonus Days: 1.2 Total loss for Entire Month: 6.0 6 pounds is really a good loss for me at this point. Of course, it was coming off a month that was <1 pound, so really it averages out about right. That's a total of 16.6 pounds in the first 4 months of the year, so over 4 pounds a month, just about a pound a week. My goal is just over 3 pounds a month, so I'm doing all right. Also, new low today and my first time being under 189, so that was a nice end to the month. I also have been taking measurements My current measurements (to the nearest .25 inch) are: Neck: 13.75 -> 13.75 Bicep: 13 -> 12.75 Forearm: 11 -> 10.5 Chest: 42.25 -> 42 Waist: 37 -> 36.5 Belly/Hips: 44 -> 43.25 Thigh: 25 -> 24.75 Calf: 17 -> 16.5 So I was down a little bit in almost every measurement, which is nice, for a total of about 3" lost this month. |
no clue where I ended up in April, and i'm travelling at the moment for work and not back for another 3 weeks, so will happily remain ignorant. Took last week as holiday-at-home which was fantastic, but probably a disaster on the scales had I ventured in their direction! Making an effort to make reasonable food choices whilst i'm away, and hoping to get to the very nice hotel gym every morning, which I did today.

Gardenerjoy: thank you so much for starting May thread. Farn: 10 pounds is amazing. Well done, you!! Lacerta: WOOT, 189 is awesome. Your pounds are peeling off. And 3" off is great too!! I measured my neck, waist and hips too. Thank you for making me feel better in your post about losing 3 pounds per month, because that's exactly what I did in April. Usually on low carb I lose about 5 pounds per month. Was a nutty month at work and it's not going to slow down for a couple months. Ange: way to go on eating healthy and hitting the gym while away for work. |
I didn't quite make it - I lost a total of 7 lbs in April, so 1 lb shy of my goal. Congrats to everyone on our successes!!!

I weigh tomorrow....so, won't quite know how I "finished" the month. I am joining the May weight loss challenge. |
Woot. End of month weight is 286.2lbs which is 3.8 lbs below my goal. Huzzah for hitting one goal this month.
