kfunk - gategrashing this thread to say Hi, and missing you from other threads! Heaps of sympathies for your struggles at the mo. Just wanted to say you're my hero, and just look what you've achieved since the start of your journey. You're amazing. Keep positive. Celebrate what you've accomplished already and remember it's all up to you, and you're definitely capable of the challenge to get stuck back in to it again. It's a great sign that you're back and posting after your trip. Sending magic-dieting-vibes

Happy Friday ladies,

KFunk: Hope today is better for you. When is your appointment for your tests? I know you can't wait to find out what's going on. I hate not feeling well too. Hang in there.

Boatingmommy: Great job on the no alcohol goal and on getting your workouts in even in the heat. You are doing a great job! I hope you have a great camping trip this weekend.

I stayed the same at W/I today. This coming week I am going to focus on weighing and measuring my food. I bought a WW scale today and I'm excited to use it this week. I'm probably eating way too much by guesstimating my serving sizes. I was able to get out and do a 45 min walk early this morning before starting work. Boatingmommy when I went to Cuba last month I bought some Cuban Rum and I so want to open it but I keep telling myself NO! It is so good and I know when I drink it it's going to send me up a few pounds. I'm going to try not to open it until I reach onederland

Hi ange82much

Have a great weekend ladies

Boatingmommy- Thank you, I appreciate your support! You are doing amazing with no alcohol!!! I hope you have an awesome weekend and that your handy trick works again!! TOM explains it, its frustrating when it shows up unexpectedly, ugh!! Great job getting in your workouts!!

ange- Hi!! You are so sweet to pop in here to build me up!! I haven't had very much time to post recently, but I have still been doing some reading and it looks like maintenance is going very well, you are into your weekend now, I hope you enjoy yourself!!

gettnfit- Thank you! I go in on Monday morning for both procedures and I am really hoping they are able to find something!!

You guys are the best, seriously. I hope that you all have a fantastic weekend!! I will be working from home a bunch this weekend in an effort to catch up. Maybe if I can catch up I will start feeling better in other areas. I feel like the stress of my job is making me feel worse. I have not done very well today but this weekend will be a forced detox so kind of actually looking forward to it. Thank you again, you keep me going!!!!!!

Good morning ladies,

I can't believe it's Monday morning already. The weekend went by way too fast.

KFunk: Let us know how things go today! I hope you can find out what's going on so that you can get some relief.

Boating I hope you had a great camping trip.

I accomplished a lot over the weekend though. I finished up my course and did some studying to prepare for the final exam. Yesterday I did my early am walk and came home and did a Firm workout with weights. I HATE getting down on the floor for ab work but I even did that. This week I'm going to focus on getting in those sculpt workouts as well as cardio. I gotta start getting my core into shape. Oh, I stayed the same at weigh in on Friday. I had way too many points on Sat but I was under by a few yesterday. Hopefully, it will balance out.

Have a great day all.

Good morning and Happy Monday!

kfunk - thinking of you as you get through your day with the doctors. Praying that they find some answers and can give you some relief. I hope you got a lot done over the weekend so you can lessen the stress you are under. It's a shame you had to give up weekend time to do that. I've been there, too and it's no fun, but sometimes necessary to keep us sane.

GettinFit - I love my WW scale. I find it very helpful when in doubt. Cuban rum sounds intriguing and yummy! That will be a fun reward for your efforts! There are so many cocktails you can make with that.

ange - I see you on other threads. I hope you are doing well on your maintenance and we are happy to have you here!

I hope all the other ladies that have stopped by are having a great Monday morning and are taking good care of themselves!

Well, today is the 16th and I have made it this far with no alcohol. I didn't really eat all that well this weekend (chocolate chip cookies that my girlfriend made for BBQ at the lake) but I did not drink even though everyone around me was having a cocktail or two. I weighed this am and I was just a couple of ounces under Friday's weight. WooHoo! It's soooooo wonderful that the scale wasn't 4 pounds up on a Monday for a change. Now to see it if can get that scale to go down a little more before the end of the month. My goal for July was to get to 185. Still think it may be doable! The weather here is supposed to be under 90 for the next week. I see lots of walks in my future!

Weight today 189.7

boatingmommy - Congrats on another weekend successfully abstaining from alcohol. I'm still really impressed that you've been able to implement that during party season! I also had problems with post-weekend scale bumps, so I feel your joy about not gaining, and you even came in less than on Friday. That's awesome!

Thinking of you kfunk, hope things are easing up.

Today's weight - 187.9!!!! 2.9 pounds to make my July goals (which sadly was also my June goal). Better late than never, I say! Funny thing is that I haven't worked out in a couple of days. Going to walk tonight, so we'll see what tomorrow brings. We ordered clothing to go to Disney World in September. It's called Disney Bounding. It's where you wear regular clothing, but in the theme of a disney character. My hubby bought red shorts, a black shirt, yellow belt and bow tie for a Mickey theme. I bought a red polka dot dress and yellow flats for Minnie...we are very excited to wear them to the Not So Scary Halloween Parade while we are there.

How are all you ladies doing today? I hope GREAT!!!

Chunka - Yep, definitely not the best time of year to abstain, but there never seems to be a good time for me because there is always some event in the works. Thank you so much for the words of encouragement! I was just getting so depressed about the weekend gains and this seems to be the answer.

GettinFit - Way to go on the double workout. Yep, ab workouts are not fun, especially on the floor. That's why I like the Turbo Jam original videos - lots of standing ab workouts. Keep up the awesome work!

kfunk - Prayers for your health to improve. Hope you got some good news to share.

Ok...Off to work!

Good morning ladies,

Kfunk: I hope all went well with your tests on Monday.

Boatingmommy on your weigh-in! You are doing great and giving up alcohol is paying off. Keep up the good work
I have the old Turbo Jam series as well as Turbo Fire and some other Chalene workouts. Once upon a time I was a DVD addict so I have appprox 50 + Firm DVDs, Hip Hop Abs, Rockin Body, lots of Walk Away the Pounds DVDs, Zumba, Jillian's 30 Day Shred, most of the WW workouts, Some Billy Banks workouts and a few others. I just haven't been in the mood to do them since I LOVE getting out to walk. Maybe I'll follow your advise and do some Turbo Jam workouts since my core needs some attention.

Yesterday was a good day for me but Monday was not so good. I did way too much snacking on WW snacks. I don't know what happened on Monday but I just couldn't stop once I got started. I regained control yesterday and the scale was back down. I just have to see a loss this Friday so I gotta stay on point.

Have a great Wednesday ladies!

It's hump day! Hope everyone is hanging in there! I get to go with one of my besties to see The Pretenders in concert tonight. We are going out to eat before hand, but my friend knows it's a drink free night for me. So many fun places to go in St. Louis - I'm anxious to see what she picks. Maybe I'll sweat off a few lbs dancing and singing along!

GettinFit - Sounds like you have quite the library!!! Wow! I need to try a few more workouts, seems I just really like the Turbo J 1,2 & 3. I bought the PIYO videos, but with my arthritis it's a no-no. I had some videos I loved back in the day...the Redbook series was pretty good. I walked last night, with a few bursts of jogging around the track. Glad to hear you got it back under control. Sometimes I just start spinning and can't seem to stop...by then the damage is done. We've all been there.

kfunk - Sending out a big "Howdy!" and hoping you are doing okay.

To all the others out there reading this...Happy Wednesday!!!

Weight today : 188.1

Good morning! I'm dragging a little this morning after the concert last night. Chrissie Hynde and The Pretenders sounds just like they did in the 80S - FABULOUS!!! It took me a while to get my ears to stop ringing so I could go to sleep last night. Today is my Friday. I have visits all afternoon and then I have to come home and do yard work. We are in major yard beautification mode for the weekend. This weekend is our little towns Homecoming. If you don't know what that is, it's a street festival sort of thing. There is a band each night, huge beer tent, rides, carnival games, a bingo tent and community raffles. Lots of fun and lots of bad temptations. Usually we hang out under the beer tent talking to dozens of people from town, as well as friends and relatives. This year I will be hanging out under the beer tent with no beer in my hand. It's going to be tough, but I'm determined to make my goal of 185!
Hope all you little chickies are doing well this morning and have a great day!

Oh no! Where have all the chickies gone? Hope you all are doing well and ready for the weekend. I am saving my points for a corn dog tonight. Our local vendor usually has his corn dog and lemon shake-up stand at the Homecoming. Best darn corn dogs around and worth every horrible calorie and pt.
kfunk- I'm hoping your silence isn't because you received bad news. We're rooting for ya as you go through your medical trials.

I'm sending you all and today! Let's make it a good one!

Happy Friday!

WOW, I can't believe I missed posting yesterday. These days are going by so fast that I'm losing track!

Boatingmommy - How exciting to see that you're at 186!!!!! You are rocking it!! I cannot wait to see a 1 on my weight. I'm slowly getting there. Enjoy your corn dog tonight. That's the nice thing about WW, you can work those treats into your menu and still lose weight. Keep up the great work.

KFunk - I hope things are going okay with you.

I was down 2 pounds at my WW w/i today. I'm telecommuting today so I got up and did my walk at 6:30 this morning.

Have a great rest of the day everyone

Happy Friday everyone!! I will be working all weekend, but at least I don't need to drive in to do it. My test went well, but they found nothing wrong to explain my symptoms. WEIRD. I was finally migraine free until last night and then I had a rebound one today. I have been SO busy with work. I really dislike my job right now. I went back to the doctor and was put on antidepressants, I really wanted to make it without them, but since I have been fully weaned off I have not been okay, so saw no other choice. I have done horribly with food all month long. My clothes don't fit well anymore and I can tell that I have gained a good chunk of weight back.

I can not tell you how much your support means to me, I didn't intend to go missing like this. I can not get back on track, every day starts out well and then I end up screwing up and saying I will start tomorrow. I am eating too much when I am not hungry and that is what caused me to gain so much weight in the first place. I am not trying to be a downer, just explain why I have been gone.

I am going to finish the month out really strong and see how close I can get to 155. I am sure I am close to 170 right now. I know the first handful should come off fairly quick since it is probably water.

boatingmommy- you are doing AMAZING with your no alcohol month!!!!!!!!! Do you miss it, or are you holding up okay? You are so close to your 185 goal, go get it girl!!

gettnfit- Congratulations on another awesome weigh in!!!! You are doing so well!

If you are reading, hi lunkah and ange!! I miss reading your posts but hope to be back to daily posting on every thread soon.

THANKS TO YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KFunk: I totally get where you're coming from. Just keep on trying and you will get back on track. Take 1 meal at a time. Know that you can always come here whether you're struggling or in a good zone. We're all in this together I'm glad your tests were all negative but sorry you still don't know what's going on. Hopefully the tummy aches will subside.

Enjoy your weekend!

Hey girlies! Stopping in between events. I have got to go and straighten my patio in case anyone stops by on their way to the parade up town (haha...two blocks away in a 5 block town). So happy to hear from both of you!

GettinFit - You are going to be in the 1**'s very soon the way you are going at it. 2 more pounds - Way to go! Yes, I do like WW for that fact. You gotta save up for the stuff you really feel are worth spending your points on. It's working.

kfunk - Aaargh! So sorry you didn't get any concrete answers. Maybe you are on stress overload?? Is that a possibility for all your symptoms? Hey, if the antidepressants work and help you keep things going, that's what they are there for. I know my daughter (20 who still lives at home) has tried to go without and wean off, but then she just doesn't feel right. And then things can get bad, so it's good she stays on them, as least for now. I know you are going through some rough sh*t right now and the dieting is off track, but you'll get there. It's really difficult when there is so much happening at one time. We understand your struggle and are here for you! And, YES I miss the beer! Every weekend is a struggle right now, but I've lost almost 8 pounds since July 1 and that's enough to make me continue. That and I don't want to be the girl that told her family and friends that I was giving up alcohol, and then didn't. I know I raised a few eyebrows at the beginning of the month, and I am sure more than 1 (more like a dozen) people said "she'll never make it!" But F*** em...pardon my French. I can, and I WILL make it to the end of July.

Okay, off to blow off the patio!
