flower CONGRATS on making your goal!! Good luck meeting your bonus goal, it sounds like you are well on your way!! I would like to focus on eating more vegetables this week and also making sure I get all my water in. Yesterday I only drank about 40oz. I usually drink 3x that amount.

bunny I hope that you enjoyed your Birthday!!

curvy I hope you are doing well!!

I am hoping to get rid of the water weight in the next couple days as my TOM finishes up. I still feel like my goal is possible!

I was expecting for a bigger drop overnight... starting to get nervous that I won't make my goal! Very best behavior will continue on throughout the weekend!

Hey all and congrats flower!!! I'm currently watching some of the downhill and oof are people really going for it (and going all out when they biff it). I've heard there have been quite a few serious injuries from the downhill today, so hopefully that stops.

Also, I am so incredibly excited about the women's cross-country team sprint! This is the USA's second medal in cross-country for the Olympics ever, and the other one occurred back in the 70's, and this one is now even a gold! I was very much into cross-country skiing when I was in high school
(as I mentioned... and I really need to get back into it, but school... both time and finances as well as finding people to ski with... has really put a damper on that. But let's be honest, it's mostly because I let myself be lazy and it's cold outside). Anyway, I am so so so excited about this.

Anyway, I feel like I had my own Olympic workout today. I go to a cardio kickboxing class on Wednesdays, which I LOVE LOVE LOVE, and it usually kicks my butt, but oh man. Today was brutal, and it wasn't just me. There were way more people than usual who were letting out grunts, etc. as well as stopping for breaks in the middle of sets. I had to completely stop a couple times myself and I haven't had to do that in awhile. As for what actually happened for my birthday, it was nothing too exciting, but still a good day. I ate quite a bit, including a DQ cake, which is my favorite. We got a half-off leftover Valentine's cake. Yum! I think I did pretty good over the weekend with not going crazy on food, though, I suppose there was one day where I just could not put the box of fruit snacks down. Oops. Fortunately, it doesn't seem to have derailed me too much, if at all. I do like to have semi-regular indulgence/cheat days, because I think it's more sustainable for me, I don't feel very deprived, and well, it may or may not help keep my BMR higher? Who really knows how accurate that is. My weigh in for today was on the scale at the gym and in the evening, so not my usual AM weigh-in. However, I'm not sure how consistent it is with my scale at home.

fo fo bunny: great job -you're almost at goal - well done Sounds like you did great over the weekend. I like to have one day a week that I eat what I want too - I don't go crazy but it's just not as strict as during the week. That seems to work for me, however, I could probably do a bit better on the weekends.

flower Thank you for your encouragement! I am excited for the weekend thread too, I think it will make a HUGE difference for me!! REMIND me if I forget!!!! Back down to 169.6 today so hoping that I can have a few strong days strung together!! I love your medal pic!

fofo Good job handling your bday! I like to have days where I indulge because it helps from feeling deprived. I do need to lock it up on my end though because the cheat days are becoming to frequent, and I have been working on losing weight for well over a year and just want this part done with! It does give me confidence for when I reach maintenance though! Your cardio kickboxing class sounds super hard core, well done!!!! You are very close to your goal!

Hey all! Hope the last days of the challenge went well for you. I'm submitting my last weigh in, which is from yesterday, since Saturday is my indulgence day and I'm on my period, so my weight popped up a bit today. Anyway, woohoo! I made it!

and good morning

to all who made their Olympic goals a reality! While I didn't make my goal I ended up at a better weight than where I began and that's a win for me!

On another note, I will be sad to see the Olympics end tonight. I mentioned to a friend that during the Olympics (summer and winter) I don't seem to get a whole lot done.

Congrats to everyone on achieving your goals and to those who came sooooo close. Everyone made progress during the challenge and I hope you feel proud of your accomplishments. Even if I don't make my goal in a challenge I always feel good if I made progress and my weight was lower than at the beginning of the challenge.

kfunk: great job on your loss of 2.2 lbs - well done

curvy: congrats on your loss. I can relate to not getting much done during the summer and winter olympics

fofo bunny: CONGRATULATIONS ON MAKING YOUR GOAL

curvy: 5 lbs
fofo bunny: 2 lbs
kfunk: 3.2 lbs
flower: 2 lbs

I'm up a bit since my last weigh-in so I didn't maintain my bonus goal (.2 over). However, I lost 3.4 pounds during the challenge and met my first goal. I'm very happy with the progress I made.

Feb-09 SW: 134.2 (2 lbs)
GW: 132.2 - (Feb 18)
Bonus GW: 130.6
Final Challenge Weight: 130.8

Feb 9: 134.2
Feb 10: 134.4
Feb 11: 132.6
Feb 13: 133
Feb 15: 132.6
Feb 18: 131.4 GOAL
Feb 20: 131.6
Feb 23: 130.6 BONUS GOAL
Feb-25: 130.8 (gained .2 so met my goal but not my bonus goal)

Yes! Congrats everyone! I think we all did fabulous and to those that didn't make your goal, well, you all had much larger goals to meet than I did and made a lot of progress toward it. You the real MVP!

Now that the Olympics are over, time to get back to real life, huh?
