Blondie Glad you're finally starting to feel better. I can relate to the working out since I hate the gym! I tried lots of things but boot camp (at home) finally worked for me!

kfunk I know that scale drives you crazy sometimes! Keep it up, you got here and I know you can make it through this challenge!

stlrsgrl Great job on the steps! I'm impressed, I just can't quite make that many! Losing those inches makes all difference. You have several NSV to celebrate!

I am down a bit from last week and I have TOM to thank for that, but i'm not complaining, it's not a bump up so i'll take it!

momtopands - I am thinking of doing weight training. I really am a squishy mess and I have have probably 10 more pounds of fat sitting in my butt and thighs.

stlrsgrl43 02-27-2018 12:42 PM

blondie, I do "the new rules of lifting for women" and I love it. I completed the program a few years ago and it made a huge difference in my body even when the scale wasn't moving. I have since lost my way and gained the weight back and have just started over on eating right and the program but it is a wonderful program and is good for beginners.

Hoping everyone has a great weekend!

18 more days of this challenge.

Everyone is doing great! Let's finish strong :carrot:

blondie I am glad that your fever broke!

I'd start exercising...ugh... I hate it but I gotta figure it out. I am squish mess - going to to need to tone up and get stronger.

The scale is finally moving again. Even if I don't quite make 160 by the 21st, I am thrilled to be in the 160's!

stlrsgrl43 03-05-2018 08:52 AM

Kfunk, waving back. Down 2.4 lbs this week, the scale is moving ever so slow but in the right direction.
boopchick congrats on the huge loss, WTG, I can't wait to get that low.

momtopands 03-05-2018 10:55 AM

boopchick Congrats on that whoosh! I know you've been looking for progress and your consistency paid off!

stlrsgrl Great job on your loss! Glad the scale is moving downward!

blondie I'm hoping that the strength training i'm doing along with cardio will help prevent that squish when I get down to where you are! We'll see!

Well, for those of you who aren't on the other boards I found out last week that I have high blood pressure and diabetes. I will probably end up on BP meds but she's giving me 3 months with diet to get myself out of the diabetic range so all that i've been doing this year has placed me on the right path. I will keep up all that i'm doing and at the end of that time I expect to see that I have reversed it! I am very happy that i'm down again this week, probably won't make it to the next goal but whatever I do it will be down!

Thanks momtopands! It's definitely not as easy to keep the faith when the scale doesn't move but it's so worth it to keep going! Congrats on your progress and starting a healthy change for yourself to turn things around.

stlrsgrl43 thank you, I started out a lot higher than you (273). You will get there very soon!! Nice progress!

kfunk6113 03-07-2018 08:43 AM

momtopands You are getting close to a new decade!! I said it before, but I really admire you taking the bulls by the horns and turning your diagnosis around!

boop 2 weeks left!! Have you given any thought to your new goal for the next challenge?

kfunk I am so excited to get to the new decade! I can't wait! You're also moving in a great direction. That WW seems to be doing the trick!

I am struggling - after getting better, all I want to do is eat. What the heck!?! I can't get my head back in the game. Maybe it is time to change it up.

stlrsgrl43 I need to look into the new rules of lifting for women, thank you for the recommendation

kfunk - I dislike how weak I feel, I am torn as to what to do next. I have people pushing me to stop - I look fine now. Ummm - you don't see what I see getting out of the shower, my clothes help a ton!! I had a guy at work tell me I should trying intermittent fasting for my "loose skin", excuse me!?! I gotta get back on track.

stlrsgrl43 03-09-2018 11:22 AM

Hello everyone, Blondie, If you do decide to try it out, let me know what you think of it. I also have the New Rules of Lifting for Abs which I was going to start when I was done with the NRLW last time i did this but I slid downhill and never got around to it. Just flipping through that book makes me feel like you already need to have some form of strength to do some of those exercises so I am hoping I can move in to that book after I complete NRLW this time, we will see. I was thinking the ab book might help with some of the mushy body. I know not much will help with the loose skin but it definitely can't hurt to try it.

Hi BlondieCJ
prove to us that you can do this, then let us know how you did it. If you can get back in to it now, you've future-proofed your life.
This is the bit that gets us all and this is the bit where you go one way or the other and this is the bit i'm scared about so I want to hear as many success stories as possible. You can do it!! Get stuck in and pretend your head is in it even if it isn't - the 'fake it til you make it strategy'! Come on girl!

I needed to read this today. I overindulged on Wednesday and the numbers on the scale show it (171) but the real issue was it made me want to overindulge Thursday. I made it through the day and while I still had that urge yesterday, it was a little less intense. I need to be on point this weekend.

Blondie You can do this!! Like ange said....fake it til you make it!!
