In July I did about 65 miles, and it'll be around 62-62.5 for August. I'd like to see 70 in September, so that'll be my goal. |

Hmm, goal, what shall you be? I've gone with 18 workouts the past couple of months, but I'll be away on vacation for 9 days this month. So I'll adjust my goal to 13 Beachbody workouts. I'm thankful for this challenge because even though I'm back in the exercise habit, this challenge kept me on task several days in August when w/o it I would've just skipped the workout. :cheers: to Joy and her challenges!

I'm in. My goal is to work out 3 days a week. So 12 workouts. That seems really modest but based on how I was this past August, I think I need to keep my goal pretty modest. Any type of exercise will work for me.

I wear a tracker that automatically adjusts, so I want to get it back up to 10,000 steps a day. I sit all day at work and barely leave my computer. THIS IS SO HORRIBLE! I also want to make it to the gym at least 2 times a week for some strength training. Starting small!

I haven't yet been able to do a "traditional workout" but I've been working hard the past 3 days and based on my step count and level of soreness it might count as a workout? We're working on the new house to finalize stuff to get it ready to move into, so I've been flooring, working on the deck, stuff like that. It's a 3 story house, so I'm getting a ton of stairs in.

We're at 9.4 miles so far for the month. It's going to be an incredibly busy month so I won't be checking in daily like the last two months, but I will check in periodically.

For each workout this month, I've been making a list of about 5 different ones I'd like to do that day. Then I use a random number generator online to select which one I do. The element of chance has been pretty fun. :D

I stubbed my toes on Thursday night. So, I may be sticking to gentle workouts for another day or two while my foot heals.

Eagle - That hike sounds like a blast. Thanks for the yoga info. I want to start doing that once a week or so. I had looked at the one that comes with P90 but it was so long, around 90 min IIRC. I'm not about that life. ;) I'm happy to hear that the one with P90X3 is shorter.

I'm in!
My goals: 4 days of Zumba class, 4 days of hiking 20 miles (total), 4 trips to the fitness park, and 4 days of walking 20 min (apiece). Today after work, I decided to go to a free Zumba class (60 min). Now, I used to Zumba every day on the XBox - and let me tell you, I was GOOD, or so I thought. However, this never could prepare me for my new instructor, Senor Death. Senor Death, is not a teacher of dance inspired workouts. Senor Death, as his name foretells, teaches people how to die - slowly while moving rapidly. It truly is an art. Now, I don't claim to be bilingual, but it was obvious what this man was saying through his gorgeous lips and yummy accent: "No, no... you are not dying correctly. You must destroy your thighs in this fashion. You are not annihilating your abs correctly. Do it this way!" People, I am broken. My brain no longer recognizes my body. It can't tell where anything is or even interpret it's needs. It just hurts without existing. Even my butt has frozen in a stunned state. And after all that, did you know, Senor Death had the audacity to invite me back Monday so he could finish the job? #Glutton4Punishment #GoingBackMonday |

Yesterday I didn't get to do a traditional workout, but my husband and I were working at the new house and he needed the area for the front steps to our porch dug out and so he handed me a pick and shovel. So I was swinging the pick, scooping up heavy dirt and rocks, and lifting the really big rocks out by hand. I figure that has to be a workout! Fitbit says I got 10,541 steps in too. |

I have until this Friday to make my goal (will be on vacay the rest of Sept), and I only need 3 more workouts to get there. I'm right on schedule with where I wanted to be at this point. The only problem is I have a brutal sinus infection. :( I'm hesitant to do any exercising for a while, bc I fear the huffing and puffing while I'm a phlegm-filled monster could irritate my lungs (lovely asthma) and then morph this infection into bronchitis as well. And ain't nobody got time for that!
I'll play it be ear in case I feel much better, but I'll most likely not be doing any Beachbody workouts this week. |

Hello everyone, im new and is looking for support and want to give support to others. I'm 30 old and always had a decent body. I'm a thick girl and always had fat in the right places but this year from January 2017 to now I gain 40 pounds and now weight 192lb from stress and depression. 09/01/2017 I started my own workout plan. Which is 4 times a week, working on my legs, thighs, stomach and butt. I started the first two weeks slow by not putting too much on my body early. Each day out of the 4 days I do squads, sit ups, biking, lunges and thigh exercise. Every Sunday I take pictures of the areas that im working on and so far after two weeks I'm seeing some results, very little but I see some chg.
Here's the breakdown: Week 3 of September 4 days a week (random days) I add 10 counts on each of my exercises each week. Stomach- 50 situps and 50 crunches Thighs and butt - 50 squats, 2min bicycle, 35 lunges each leg, 20 jumping squads. Dancing once a week for 30 mins. I do not have a diet and my intake of food have not change. I still eat what ever I want. However the amount of food I eat has change. I don't eat as much since my appetite has decrease, I guess because of my muscles in my stomach is tightening up. Lastly I'm consuming more water than soda and juice than ever. Im trying to tightening up my fat more than losing it. Please know that this is not my first time doing this, did this once before when I gain so much weight because of birth control and did this. The results was successful and I loved my body, it was hard and took long but i did it and is trying again and would appreciate any support. Thank you |
