July 1: 2.44
July 2: 0.86
July 3: 2.19 - I got home around 7:15 tonight and we went out immediately and did our 1 mile loop. We made it all the way through without any firework noises - so pup did good!! Tonight is the main night for fireworks in the area, so once the sun goes down it's going to be a rough time for the doggo.

July 4: 0 - I ended up staying at work for an extra 90 minutes tonight and training some coworker's. didn't get home til 8:30 and there were already people messing with fireworks. I had drag doggo out the door to go potty. I'd been at work for over 10 hours so she needed to go, but I had to force her out. I'm off work tomorrow, so we're gonna get up early and get at least a mile out of the way around 8am. And another mile or two tomorrow evening.

Woohoo! So, as I mentioned, for exercise I'm doing Beachbody's Brazil Butt Lift. I've been doing the short workout on it that's only 10 min, planning to give one of the longer workouts a try after a couple of weeks. Well, today I accidentally started up one of the full length workouts. Rather than stop it, I decided to give it a go. I was able to complete it! I did modifications on the tougher moves and didn't get in as many reps as the people in the vid b/c I was slower. But it was still an intense workout. It feels fulfilling to be progressing.

I have to get blood drawn tomorrow. I expect that to mess up my energy levels quite a bit (I'm slooooowly recovering from anemia), so I'll probably need a few days off from BBL. Just when I was getting good.

Thanks, gardenerjoy! I even decided to delay my blood test one day so that I could enjoy another day with BBL first.

Jrkessle: I find that I struggle more getting out and walking if it’s too hot for the pup. On the days that it’s too hot I think I’m going to swim laps instead and the pup can run around in the yard instead of walking, until it cools off again. Glad to hear your pup did well with the mile loop the other day.

Chunkahlunkah: Way to go!

RunningRedHead she is a Rez dog from an Indian reservation in New Mexico that I rescued from a local shelter here in Colorado in may 2016. She has super bad anxiety, but she's gotten way better since I adopted her. Fireworks will probably always be a fear of hers unfortunately. But she loves our walks! We did 1.91 miles with our neighbor and her dog this morning and both dogs had a blast.

July 2: 0.86

July 4: 0
July 5: 3.91
July 6: 1.23
July 7: 1.91 AM walk
