I'm impressed with how many miles are racked up on this little thread I'm doing this same challenge at work and I always remember completing the Google doc with the best intentions to come over here and check in as well. Well, you know what they say about good intentions

I'm pleased that I've met the 1,000 mile challenge with roughly four months to the end of the year. I must say when all else seems off the rails in my life, I'm happy that I'm consistent with my miles (most of the time).

Way to go everyone. It was fun reading through this thread to see how everyone is doing.

Since May - My fitbit says I have walked 323 miles. I wear it most days, but not all. I know I could walk more if I put my mind to it and I plan to work on that. MapMyRide says I have ridden 892 miles. I have a 20 mile ride planned for today - so that will put me over 900 miles on the road in 4 months. My goal was 200 miles a month through October, so I am on track for that goal.

Nightowlrn, to this thread and to 3fc. I'm glad you jumped in mid year and hope you continue with us. Aren't fitbits wonderful! Sounds like you will get past 1,000 this year between your walking and bike riding. Good on YOU.

flower, How much longer can you keep walking outside? I have to start indoor routines soon, so there is no break in milage, but have about a month +, of decent weather left.



Update: 1,400 Miles for the year. Yearly goal of 2,016 miles in 2016. (I wear my fitbit all day and dance, garden, walk and bike).

bike - 937 miles. If each mile wins 40 calories - that is 37,000 calories or 10 bonus pounds I wouldn't have lost since May with diet alone !!! woo hoo
