Thanks for all you posts everyone ....

Riestrella - I think I need to start being honest with myself too when it comes to tracking ...

Disappointing that I wasn't really able to enter a loss this week - but I think I'm learning lots .....

I'm going to track properly for a week and see what happens .....

HEY EVERYONE!

I'm working on a couple of introspective mental exercises this week. Thought I'd share them in case anyone else wants to participate.

1. Post 3 things you like about yourself

2. Make 3 positive affirmations at lease once this week (better to do the exercise more than once this week)

Here are mine:

Three things I like about myself:

I'm creative and sometimes innovative

I like to help people and share knowledge

I'm independent and I'll many times try to fix things on my own

Here are 3 of my affirmations:

I can control my food intake

Exercise makes me feel better

I have the power to reduce my stress and how I react to things

Jesslan Rose 01-10-2016 04:20 AM

After almost six weeks of grieving and my eating spiraling out of control trying to deal with it I think I'm finally back on track. My eating is a lot better and I've exercised almost everyday this past week. 8.8 pounds to go to get back to my lowest so far. I cannot wait to see that number on the scale again and go even lower.

Hope you all are doing great!

Atta girl, Jesslan Rose! Your mom would be so proud!

Bobbolink 01-10-2016 08:44 AM

Starting weight: 134.4
Week 1: 133
Week 2: 132
Slow going, I cut way back on bread. I need to make some veggie soup when I get the hungry.
Question, I posted my weight today on the old link. Is that going to show up or do I need to get a new link every week?

Wannabehealthy 01-10-2016 09:15 AM

Bobbi, you did it right. Just use the same link every week.

Fire Lollipop 01-10-2016 09:23 AM

Hello!
I can't PM yet and I'd like the link to the spreadsheet, please! :)

Bobbolink 01-10-2016 09:54 AM

BOBBI:
Good Job! You have lost 2.4 lbs. since the beginning of the challenge. That is great!

JESSIAN ROSE:
You are doing great! Each week will get a little easier. You will be below your lowest weight before you know it!

SMILINGIN2013:
It is enlightening to know the calorie content of things. Knowledge is power. I had to tame my raw almond consumption, once I learned the calorie content. Now, I count them out and put them in a snack baggie for the day. I've found that using baggies and placing serving portions in them is helpful. At least if you have two baggies worth, you have to know how muck you ate, instead of eating mindlessly and thinking you ate less than you did.

TooManyDimples:
The coffee creamer can be a challenge. Almond milk and cashew milk are a couple of lower calorie alternatives. Everyone has a different tast/consistency they prefer. One product I've purchased via Amazon is called Nutpod (almonds and coconut). It is 10 calories per Tbsp.

Well my weight is up this week, but I think I will be able to get back on track now. I just took my brother to the airport today to go back to school. I was eating too much fast food with him while he was here (I normally don't eat fast food at all).

I have gone to the gym the last two days though, which is huge for me! I only went to the gym twice in all of 2015, which means I can only do better this year!

Jesslan Rose: I am glad to hear that you are getting back on track as well! You can do this!!

SeeMyFeet:

Munchey: I can completely relate to feeling like you're not really living until losing weight. There are certain things that I know I want to do that I can't physically do because of my weight. I am tired of it, so I am glad I am FINALLY fixing it.

Riestrella: I agree, my list is a perfect motivator. Somehow, though, it has never been quite enough for me. I am getting there though! Even getting back to the gym the two times this week, I remember how much I use to enjoy going. I hope you had a wonderful trip!
