I'm a little late starting this phase of the challenge, but need to get back to some accountability. I've been weighing in on Mondays, so I will use that #.

GW: 175 2/22- 184.5 3/1- 182.5 3/8- 183 3/15-179 3/22- 3/29- 4/5- What a lovely present the whoosh fairy brought for my birthday! I've been struggling for the last month or so, then bam! 4 lbs down! When I started trying to lose an 80 lb regain about a year ago, I thought of that quote that says " A year from now you'll be glad you started today " whenever I felt down about the task. I told myself that if I stuck with it, I could be right back to where I was by my birthday. Yesterday was my bday and today I am 2.5 lbs away from relosing all of the regain. If you're thinking of jumping in on this challenge, start today. A year from now you'll be glad you did. :) |

Hoping for a B-day whoosh of my own (4/3) I'm going to need it to meet this challenge!LOL Love your point about " a year from now", I've reminded myself of that several times too! |
Thanks gapeach! Fingers crossed for your bday whoosh!
Even if you don't get it, you're doing a great job. To me, these challenges are all about keeping on putting one foot in front of the other. Sometimes you hit your goal and sometimes you don't, but if you keep working at it, you'll get there. :) |
Thanks Streudel, excited I had a whoosh this morning! Down to 157.2. My usual lately is a whoosh every one to two weeks and then up and down for a week till it settles in. My mini goal has been to get to 153, which is a weight I was at for probably a year, not my ultimate goal but once I get there I'll feel like I am really losing weight again-lol. I enjoy the challenges too, it keeps me focused on progress. It really isn't about making the goal, but going in the right direction. I find that having something to be accountable helps, forcing me to post my progress weekly keeps me on track.

Struedle Thanks for the words. " A year from now you'll be glad you started today "
As I reviewed my journals, I see that I haven't been below 225 for over a year. Surely a year from now I'll be glad I was out walking today, and guarding my food from being unhealthy. Can't, and won't wait another year. |
