  • Hey everybody! My original goal was to lose 2 kg and i'd started november weighing 79. Now i'm weighing 80. I'm coming back after thousands of migraines that are now under control (new medicine) and just terrible bad eating that included several binge eating episodes. I did maintain a fairly regular exercise routine, so i guess that's why i haven't gained more.

    I have a new goal for the rest of the month: not gain weight. My doctor sugested i focus more on exercising and eating healthy than on losing for the rest of the year and if i am ok, maybe i can think of losing in 2015. Not the advice i wanted to hear, but good advice anyway. He says if i lose weight that's fine, but that it shouldn't be my goal right now.

    I missed you all a lot but i was a bit ashamed of coming here, because i felt like such a mess and was feeling sick all the time. I am not used to this. I'm happy to be back! Not sure if i'll log my weight daily, though.
  • Marina, welcome back. Just take care of yourself number one. Sounds to me like you have a very good doctor And my bet is that in following that advise you will both feel better and lose weight regardless

    I have been falling off plan.
    Went to a birthday party, then out to dinner 2 times with the family and I didn't plan well.
    I'm now going out of town for the week to celebrate my 4yo's birthday and Thanksgiving and won't return until next Sunday.
    I'm going to buy a calorie counter book today and start logging in that instead of old napkins
    Calling November bust (unlikely goal will be made), but going to try to make December a great month

    Marina - Welcome back, and that sounds like a great goal. I personally failed in the weight loss
    department this month, but I did eat healthier and I exercised more than I would have, had I not
    been trying. We have to do what is best for our bodies, and taking a break and focusing on health
    sounds like a great plan! Take care!
  • kifli Have you tried Myfitnesspal.com to keep a tally of your calories? I did it religiously when I lost my first 30 pounds. Now not so much any more; because I eat pretty the same food each day (when OP .

    I still refer to it after a 'bad' eating day to see what the damage was.
  • Sum - Yes, I use MyFitnessPal daily, but it helps if I have my daily menu plan on the counter (by the fridge, lol). So I'm going to buy a calorie log in book today, but I will look up the calories using the app. I may have to limit my foods like you, so that my choices are simple, healthy, and easy Have a great week!
  • What I used to do kifli; I planned all my meals and snacks every Sunday for the week and logged them on MFP. I do have a laptop though that I keep on kitchen counter. -- It was easier to adhere to my plan daily when I knew what I was eating and when, plus my grocery bill was lower because I had a plan for the week and only bought items I needed. And a lot less waste. -- I should go back to logging my food weekly again just for the cost cutting reasons

    I'm totally feeling discouraged right now. Had a bad weekend. Ate everything and drank way too much. Ugh.
