No weigh in today but I had a huge NSV this morning!

Since my restart on Nov 20th, I have lost 24 pounds. After 5, then 10, then 15 pounds, I kept trying on several pairs of my next size down jeans and none of them (even the "bigger" jeans I had in that size) would fit. I was soooo frustrated. The numbers were moving on the scale, but I wasn't losing any sizes. That is to say, my present size clothes were getting looser and looser, but no matter how loose they got I still couldn't fit into the next size down. I was like, "I know my boobs did not weigh 24 pounds! Where did I lose all this weight from? And when will I fit into the next size down? Grrrr!"

Well, today I finally fit into a pair of jeans in the next size down! I am so happy I could do my happy dance. Hold on...
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
OK, just went and did my happy dance.

DownDay today. Yeah! Now I am feeling more motivated than ever.
  • My goal is 15lbs

shrinkingme. I tried some clothes on today, too, in the interest of getting rid of a few things, some things were fitting better, that is such a great feeling, definitely worthy of the happy dance!! Congrats!

    Great job dcapulet!

GardenerJoy keep working it, you'll get there

It's great to see this thread is still zooming along, great job everyone!

    yesterday's calories: 2500

    good morning

I went overboard with calories last night - I was out with friends. Alcohol adds calories up really quickly, and drunk me always ends up eating. I know it's pretty bad, but when I go out that's what I do - and therefore I find myself declining most evening activities here at school because I feel like they're not worth the calories.
Anyways, it was super foggy yesterday and I figured running through the woods by myself was not a smart move. I walk everywhere, but no intentional exercise yesterday.

workinglikeadog I think no PM snacking is a pretty good goal and I'm glad you're doing well with it. I don't gaze at night, but I always plan 100cal for a straight before bed snack. But I'm weird, too.

Jacqui_D yep, crossed the language barrier and then smuggled 2lb of chocolate back into the country! Kidding, that's legal.

ajlee33 glad to read you're still doing well! Keep going

    imabehot woohoo!

shr1nk1ngme NSV are the best! congrats!

    Happy Sunday!!
  • Number one goal is to no longer be obese. Two kilos away! About 5 pounds.
Goal is to be 95 by the end of February (was planning for the end of January but that would be 1 kg a week and that is too much).

I think I can lose one kg by the end of the month with current diet and exercise.

Pixikat, I love that you're staying cool about the set point and that's what you need to do! Some people throw up their hands and go off plan. You're taking it all with a grain of salt, just part of the process, and that's going to lead to your success!

Imabehot, yes, drink lots of water and stay on plan and you'll be fine!

Ajlee, woohoo on being another lb down!

Turtle, yay on dropping back down!

Kelijpa, drink drink drink (water) and I will too!

Sum, way to hold onto that below goal weight!

Hi noshoes! Sounds like a good goal!

183, that was just a little bit of a cheat day. No big deal! Just get back on plan!

Hi lavoras! Good to have you!

Sh1nk1ngme, yay on the NSV! Isn't that fun?! Good for you!

Joy, you'll figure it out! Just keep doing your best!

dCapulet, congrats on the big drop! TOM or not, you're doing great! Keep going!
  • Drinking that water, having a good day, got the doggie out for a nice walk and got today's exercises in.

Hope everyone's having a great day!!
  • Thanks for the encouragement!

So inspiring to hear how others are going.
  • Went under 290lb this morning! The 290s seemed too close to 300 to celebrate but the 280s feels like real progress. I started at 325lb on Oct 18th and reached 289.7lb this morning; feels like progress...

shrinkingme congrats on your NSV; I think the clothes dimension of weightloss is one of the most rewarding. I daydream about the clothes I am going to buy when I reach my goal this summer.
