pixie3208- good job with the weight loss, that is awesome. I'm currently plateauing, been stuck at the same weight +/- 2 pounds, for 6 weeks now so it's always nice to see when someone else is going down down down.

Keep up the good work. I'm doing the same thing diet-wise as you, it's all about finding the right portions. It's amazing how much I used to be able to eat.

Sorry for the lack of updates bleh. I used my fiances pc to come on here and his desktop said this site holds a virus. So he told me not to come on it. Had to wait till I could borrow my friends laptop with linix on it. ha. On the plus side went to the doctors today for some test results and got weighed while there. I lost 10lbs :)

Awesome! Way to go :high:

I haven't been on in several days because I kept getting a server error and couldn't actually get onto the forum while logged in. Thankfully it is resolved today.
I have been very lazy about my exercise over the last few days in terms of weight lifting but I plan to get back to it today. Long workdays always get me so off track. Today is my cheat day, but tomorrow I'm back on plan in terms of healthy food. I'm so close to my goal and I feel like I'm at a huge risk of backsliding right now.

I never realized how much pms screws up my weight loss efforts.

For the past week, I've been crampy, headachey, exhausted, and constantly hungry. According to the scale, I'm up 2 pounds (in 1 week!). I always go up right before my period, and then it falls off after. But still, I wanna be losing not just maintaining.

Guess I better get more strict with my eating cuz at this rate it'll take me 6 months to get back to my goal weight. "Ain't nobody got time for that." ;)

So I think I have to buy a new scale. The doctors showed a 10 lb weight loss but my scale at home never changes at all. Not even by one pound. Its a digital scale and it was given to me by a friend who had to stop using it cause she weighed more then it went up to. Sooooo should I buy a new one. Or think that my doctors scale isnt correct. I saw him 3 weeks almost a month before the last time I saw him and the weight was less....Im so confused now

pixie - Def get a new scale. Enjoy seeing those new numbers you've earned! I've had some digital scales go wonky on me too.

i think im gonna buy one of the older style ones my house is uneven so i can make sure its actually zeroed out before I stand on it plus they are cheappppp

The exercise gods helped me out today! I went for a walk-run in the park today. When I was done, literally 10 seconds after I got in my car, the most torrential downpour erupted. I'm so relieved I didn't get caught in that!

It appears my exercise is done for the month as I'm leaving early tomorrow morning for a weekend trip in the big city of Seoul!!!

I'll do my monthly weigh-in tomorrow morning and update my measurements. I know the scale hasn't really moved but I'm hoping to have lost at least a little bit measurement wise.

pixie3208 07-01-2013 04:44 AM

I have been missing and sick But I am baaackkk. Does this make it completely not count because for a few days I basically did nothing. :(

pixie3208 07-01-2013 04:46 AM

I had 5 off days the first month. I suck

crispin 07-01-2013 03:09 PM

pixie - Then you had 25 days on. You rock! :D

I don't expect perfection or even want it. Personally, I'd like to exercise 6 days a week. That's my ideal. But I'm gonna be completely forgiving when I take off days bc I'm sick. If I miss for other reasons, I'm gonna track them so I can see if there's a way I can prevent those reasons from deterring me in the future.

Whatever we do, as long as we're making progress, I consider us successful at the challenge. It's the big picture that matters most.

Changergirl - How was Seoul?

pixie3208 07-02-2013 01:59 PM

Thanks crispin! Its a great way to look at it

Seoul was great. Did a lot of shopping which was the goal for the trip. My fiance and I wanted to get uniquely Korean gifts for our bridal party so all my girls will be getting awesome tea sets!!! Let's just hope they survive the plane ride home.

I was completely off plan food wise but that was my goal going into the weekend. I've been gaining and losing the same 2 pounds since the beginning of May so I saw this weekend as a 'reset' for my metabolism. I had delicious Indian, Russian and typical American cuisine. I was actually disappointed my stomach couldn't handle any more. I felt quite sick after the Indian and American just because of the massive portion sizes. I clearly had gained weight over the weekend but I'm already back down to my average over the last two months so here's hoping the weekend worked and the trend down continues!!
