Good afternoon folks!

Ian ~ Awesome! You are indeed going all Chuck Norris on this challenge. :bravo:

kidlets ~ :welcome: Come on in, relax and enjoy the ride.

zoesmom ~ :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: So proud of you! You are doing such an amazing job and just so positive. Just made my day coming in here and reading that. Sooooo...Mr. Mcgee had a change of heart...eh? Well he is still a douche. Those people that are out there trying might get discouraged when somebody acts in the manner he did. I can always point the deathstar at his house if you like?

jessicado ~ Hey girl! Nice of you to check in. Hey, I definitely know how it is, so no worries. My 3 boys keeps me on my toes all the time. Its a wonder I haven't went gray yet.

Well I sure have had a busy day. Got a late start and just now getting to sit down and relax a bit. Lots of vacation shopping today. I woke up still on TOM and barely edged down to 192. I'm hoping for good things tomorrow! My toosh and the backs of my legs are killing me today from all the squatting and bending over yesterday in my flower beds but I still managed to get my 5 miles this morning, though barely. Sure hope you guys are having an excellent day.

zoesmom 05-08-2013 06:11 PM

Aw...thanks elvis and Delphi :thanks: I had been after my hubby's weight for a while...and every time I got close to him, either I would hit a plateau or he would drop a pound here or there. Finally made it :D

Delphi - I agree, that guy still is a creep. And he can severely discourage people from working out with his attitude. I take his attitude with a grain of salt. I don't trust him not to do it again...but as long as he is cool, I am cool. And maybe, just maybe, he'll learn a thing or two on how to treat people along the way. However, if he does it again, I'll make sure to jot down the latitude and longitude for your Death Star! (and man, you are active! Go you!)

:welcome: kidlets!

Kiddo had T-Ball practice today, so I walked around the field for an hour. No clue how far I went since I wasn't wearing anything to judge distance and and have no clue how big the lap is. Didn't do anything past walking...too much mud and I didn't feel like falling face first in that crap. I managed to convince one of the other moms in joining me, and there towards the end, I had three of the dads walking as well. WOOHOO! I was a leader! ;)

wolfgirl69 05-08-2013 06:14 PM

:crossed: that I've lost 2.5 pounds since last weigh in tomorrow (Would be 3 but again I screwed up one day-not moping about it ;) )! I haven't been drinking enough water lately so I've been bloated but every few days it drops to where it's supposed to. I've been drinking like 2 -4 cups a day! I know bad me bad!

Good luck everyone!

P.S. Amandie I am gonna have to wait to try your smoothie for a week. My mother is going on a business trip and idk how to clean out the blender properly when I'm done.

Syckgirlsfv 05-08-2013 06:14 PM

Count me in! That's my 7th wedding anniversary and we'll be in VEGAS!!! I need to be 150!!!

wolfgirl69 05-08-2013 06:16 PM

Welcome everyone who is just joining us!! :D

Syckgirlsfv 05-08-2013 06:22 PM

I would have joined sooner had I known...and I would have actual weight loss to show! LOL

Hmm, wish i could say the same. i'm getting nowhere with this challenge (despite being Ever So Good), so i'll take it out til the last minute.

Problem is though that i'm off work today so going out for lunch with a friend (and a walk beforehand) and then to the theatre tonight with hubby, but we'll eat out in the city beforehand - two meals out - yikes!

Delphi 05-08-2013 07:00 PM

angel82 ~ Sounds like a big night. Hopefully, tomorrow you can burn those eat-out calories off. No worries. You will get it off! You are determined and that is what you need!

Syckgirlsfv
~ :welcome: and that is so exciting that its your anniversary! Hopefully, you will meet your goals. Good to have you aboard the challenge.

wolfgirl
~ Awesome job on the loss!

zoesmom ~ I use an app called Runkeeper for my running. Its works via GPS on your cellphone. Just though if you wanna keep track of distance/calories etc. while you are out walking/running. I am the app queen. Always looking for good apps to download! I even have one called tap-a-lap that I use at the gym to keep track of my laps/miles etc.

Do what I do...order the healthiest thing on the menu. Ask for dressing on the side, sandwiches unassembled, less fattening junk on top, you know..."special order" it. Then, when they bring the food, immediately ask for a box and box up 1/2 of it prior to taking one bite...it has saved me from messing up...given we have no choice to eat out once a week.

ange82much 05-08-2013 07:18 PM

thanks for the encouragement Delphi and Zoesmum. I'm happy to order the healthiest looking thing off the menu and will do so, although i don't want to be too stingy at lunch because i'm taking out my friend who is being treated for cancer, and i owe her so much because she looked after me big-time when i had a shoulder operation in March - even though she was ill herself, so i don't want her to think she shouldn't eat much because i'm not eating much if you know what i mean - anyway, we'll have a great time whatever and i'm looking forward to it.

kidlets 05-08-2013 08:33 PM

Thanks everyone!

Just making sure I know what to do...I find my name on the spreadsheet from the 1st page, enter my weight for the week...when?? I normally weigh in on Saturday mornings. Sorry, this probably has already been covered but with 21 pages to go through, I'm sure I missed it somewhere.

I'm a calorie counter & have been using MFP for a month and a half. And.every.single.week I've gained. I've measured and counted everything, tried eating the cals I burned, tried not eating them, nothing has worked. So today I decided to up my daily calorie limit by 100. We'll see what that does for me.

Ange - you'll do great! It will be good to have it in your head already that you'll order healthy. Also remember to just eat half. The restaurants here in the US are HUGE!

Delphi & Zoesmom I use RunKeeper too! Love it! You can switch between activities so it's not just for running. And it's free!

Amandie & Wolfgirl Smoothie?? Do share please!

zoesmom 05-08-2013 08:38 PM

:welcome: Sych - and hopefully you meet goal!

Delphi - I am ashamed to say...I don't have a smart phone...of any kind. I have a...phone. I know. The horror. My hubby is the geekiest of geeks and some sort of super wiz for electronics and computers and...I have a phone. But, that is because I really don't want one. Kinda creeps me out to log into Facebook at any time and suddenly everyone I know knows where to find me. Not only that...but what true need do I have for one? I mean, I have GPS in my car, so when I deliver my cakes, I know how to get there. I have a nano, it is compact, so why get a bulky phone to play MP3's when my nano can do it and take up no room? I have no interest in playing games on my phone, that is what my collection at home is for. Books? Meh, I have my Kindle. It feels more "book-ie" to me and I wouldn't read anything if it were smaller. Movies? I don't really watch them anyways, so not like I am missing out. Video? Camera? That would be why I have a state of the art 1080P recorder. I know it is like three million excuses, but when you get down to it, the only thing a smart phone would provide me would be an expensive, "can I find this cheaper somewhere else" search engine. I know me. How did my hubby, who is all things new and awesome, end up with me...who is all things are better left in the dark ages with stones and sticks? All I can think of is that episode of Futerama where Bender downgrades
