Spending lots of time outside, watering, fertilizing and chasing chickens. I fixed a section of fence so am hoping it is chicken proof now :D

I wish I had found this back in Jan! I'm gonna start from May 1 and see how much I can do. But with a twist!

I stole the idea from someone's signature I saw the other day (sorry I can't give credit where it's due, but I can't remember who it was). I'm a huge Lord of The Rings and Tolkien fan, so I am going to start walking from Hobbiton to Rivendell (485 miles) and once I meet that goal, I am on to Lothlorien (an additional 462 miles) and keep going in that manner till I reach Mount Doom!

Lots of fresh air and gardening this week. We have been blessed with cooler temperatures and a little bit of rain as well. Things are growing like crazy. Hope everyone's week was great.

I haven't updated my totals here in a while. 1000 miles on foot this year is looking doubtful. Still I think it is good to keep track and to stay accountable.

337.1 miles total =182.0 miles of walk/jog/run + 153.4 biking + 1.7 ellip trainer.

I have some unexplained hip pain which is curtailing my running, maybe bursitis. So I have migrated to the bike largely.

Too much pulling, my shoulders are complaining. I finally figured out I had a leak in the last row of my windbreak, had to pull out the whole row of drip and re-do it. Have a great Memorial Weekend everyone!

I do my daily updates as an edit to my first post becayse I can always find it (on page 2). But now and then I put a total update on a new post.

I am 272 miles.

I will have to really pick up the pace to make it to 1000, but it's not impossible. :)

I have a while to go .. but vacation next week at the lake.. which means lots of swimming and walking.. hope I can get 50 miles within the short vacation :)

Tabbycat and ailee33, great to see both of you progressing. :hug:

We are almost to the half year and I am changing my goal for the year from 2013 miles in 2013 to "10,000 steps/day for a year". So I am aiming for straight walking miles(10,000 steps=4.5 miles x 365) . New goal is 1642 miles for the year. I'm a bit behind but think it's a good goal and my intent is to keep moving all year round. :carrot:

do you have a pedometer? if so wht kind.. I want to get an accurate pedometer since summer is here and i will be walking around a lot outside.
