Way to go tyla and My Michelle!
Welcome SunnySide! I'm happy to report that I stayed on plan yesterday and saw a slight drop in my weight today. I was very tempted for a midnight snack more out of boredom since I couldn't sleep than hunger. Glad I didn't cave in. Have an awesome Sunday everyone. :) |
This is day 5 for me! :woohoo:
My Michelle and Ladybug, we did it! We didn't cave in to food like we wanted. I think this is a big deal for all of us! Now that we made it thru this hurdle, we have momentum to stay strong. Bravo to us all! :bravo: |
Ladybug congrats for staying on plan? When I want a snack I have been having a few carrots or a couple fat free pretzels. That curbs the craving and is not really bad for me.
I am a nurse. How long until your done? My Michelle congrats on staying on plan and fighting those urges. I am a bit worried about the holdays too. All those yummy cookies. I can not have just one. :o Tyla good job. I have a few things I need to stay away from. Twizzlers is my big one. I will eat a whole big bag. Over 1000 calories. Now I know why I am so fat :dizzy: Sunnyside welcome and I hope you get the 25 lost soon. Sno I would rather not drink coffee than drink it black. I will be curious how my weight I will have to loose to fit those 14 pants. Now I am between 22 and 20. I put my 2x shirts away hoping to fit them soon. :) I have been having spinach salads almost everyday. I am jealous about your tomatoes. Mine never flowered because it was so cold until August. Now there is not enough time. Well I am down another pound.:carrot::carrot:. I did not exercise as much as we stayed home. I finally cleaned our room. DH is away this weekend so I thought this is a good time. 2 garbage bags later I see improvement. DD exclaimed in our bathroom "I did not know there are 2 sinks in here". Very sad I know. DH keeps books and put the on the counter. I did get an hour on wii fit adv step. I watched a movies and stepped. I got my fitbit yesterday. It showed the same calories burned that my heart monitor did. That's nice to know that its accurate when I am walking. My heart rate stayed in the low 120's. I have noticed better weight loss now that I have increased my calories from 1200 to 1500/day. It's nice to have that wiggle room. |
Checking in, I am staying OP!
|
Lishar, gotta love the husband with the sense of humor, over the 2 sinks in the bathroom. Am staring at my own undone chores right now . . .
Wow, good job staying away from the goodies Tyla & Michelle & Lishar. We recently had company & I've kept up my bad habit of nibbling. :rollpin: My excuse is I haven't seen chips in so long I didn't recognize them! But had a long walk today & promise to get back OP now. |
Quick check in--I am keeping it going!
|
Wow I had a great walk today with my dog and kids. The kids brought their scooters. I ended up carrying the little one's 3/4 of the way. My dog kept me at a good pace. We walked 3.5 miles in a little under 2 hours. That includes the little break we had to eat a snack. I was dragging them back to the car. I am not sure if I could have walked that far a month ago. It felt great.
|
tyla: Thank you so much for the encouragement! :)
Lishar: I will be done October 2013. Counting down every last second. I love my classes but sometimes they can be tough. I'm going back for my second level classes this fall which includes mental health and medical/surgical nursing. What department did you end up choosing to work in if I may ask? I always love speaking to nurses about their careers. Congrats on being down another pound!! Mountain Mamma: Chips are one of my (many) downfalls. lol. I can never stop at one. littlebumblebee and Snowbrocade: keep up the great work! |
Mountain Momma - ahhh, chips. My personal nemesis! They are evil.
Lishar - I love fresh spinach, expecially baby spinach and I put it in everything! Ladybug - Good job on passing on the boredom snack, that's so hard to do! I'm glad it's Monday, Day 6 Perfectly-On-Plan for me. Yay! |
Quick check-in. Stayed on plan yesterday. Hoping everyone has a wonderful week!
|
Oooo I just got one of the weight trackers for my signature and it made me realize I'm half way to my goal, yayayayay! :)
|
That's awesome! I love having the tracker too because you can see how far you've come from when you started. :)
|
Day 6! :) I'm so happy the weekend is over, and that this is the start of a new week. Gotta get on that treadmill. That's what's helping me fit into my pants better and also making me feel better mentally.
Lishar, Another pound down! Awesome! And way to go on the exercise! :woohoo: LittleBB, Excellent job for staying on track over the weekend. :yay: Mountain Mama, excellent that you took a long walk after a few chips. You burned them off. :bravo: LadyBug, congrats on almost being done with your nursing classes, which are not easy! And congrats for losing weight last week! :congrat: My Michelle, 1/2 way to goal! :woohoo: Sno, thanks so much for keeping our little challenge going. We have a great team. :thanks: |
Day 6!
hi all!
I so agree with Tyla--we have an enthusiastic team and it really helps to hear your stories and get encouragement. Went to exercise class today--I go twice a week want to work up to three--and I thought I looked thinner in the mirror. That felt good. Then I was at Food4less and bypassed all the processed foods and sodas they had at the front. Hit the fruit and got lotsa grapes, melon, and bananas. some cheese and milk and that was it. wow--all healthy foods. I sometimes think I was just insane preferring all that processed stuff when fruit and veg taste so good. dont get me wrong--I like a dessert and cheetos as much as anyone. But if I can enjoy a big salad or some celery with hummous or half a canteloupe and be thin and be healthy--it is a win all around whereas the "treats" just win me a bigger butt. so heres to us and our new healthy bodies!! I am up a pound. I am not too worried. I did not drink enough water yesterday.
I did my 2nd weight training work out. I am liking it. Some of them were really hard but I Pushed it. I bought the new rules for lifting. I think I am going to hold off heavy lifting until I get at least below 200. I have to say I love my heart rate monitor. I mowed my back yard and in 30 min I burned 300 calories. Woohoo. I was shocked at how high my heart rate was staying. My average was 139. Sno I really agree with you about the veggies. I make salads/wraps/scrambled with veggies and they are so good. Anyone else ear quinoa? I find I can put it in so many dishes. Good job going to the exercise class. What are you taking? I am trying a Zumba class once a week. Tyla good job staying on plan. I hope to see my pants fit better then be too big. :) My Michelle woohoo halfway mark congrats. I hope to get to halfway by thanksgiving. Ladybug. I worked telemetry for 4 years now I work ICU. My DH is also a nurse and he works in the ER. He is thinking of going back to school to become a PA. |
