Default The "Git-R-Done" Exercise Challenge!

I am sure there are several people liek me who struggle with getting that exercise in. I'd like to propose a challenge to all who wish to accept it!

The challenge is simple: GIT-R-DONE! Yes, think of Larry the Cable Guy's catch phrase! No matter what happens in the day, find the time to squeeze in a little bit of exercise. It can be a full out gym routine or something as small as weight lifting with soup cans at home! Just get out there and move a bit every day! Then come back and tell us hat you did to get your exercise in for the day!

The trick is to not make any excuses and to make it happen. There are 24 long hours in every day. I am sure we can all find the time to do one exercise item every day! I'm really, really good at making excuses as to why I can't fit in my exercise. But that ends NOW! Who's with me?

I like this idea. I haven't been exercising beyond walking my dog in our neighborhood for a while, and yesterday I did Jillian Michaels' "Ripped in 30" workout. My goal is to do one workout every day. I have lots of video programs to choose from- Besides "Ripped in 30" I've also got P90X, P90X+, P90X2, Insanity, Supreme 90, Melt It Off and probably a few I've forgotten about. So variety shouldn't be an issue. I plan to do a combination of strength training, cardio and stretching/yoga.

I went for a long walk with my dog yesterday, and tonight I'm going out with a local "Meetup" group for a bike ride! I'm excited about the possibility of meeting new friends that actually are into outdoors and fitness activities, it would make it so much easier for me to stay active if I had some like-minded friends and didn't have to do it alone every time.

Last night went for about a 1-1/2 bike ride as planned. Today, not sure. I'm sure I'll take my dog for a walk, I may also fit in an exercise video, or just take the dog for a longer walk than normal which would thrill him.

Great job staying on track, dcapulet and HMW!

Nice job on the bike ride Dee! One of these days when I have the money I'm going to buy myself a bike.

I just got back from a 1 mile walk with my dog in my neighborhood. He enjoyed it and so did I!

I ended up going to lunch with my boss today (his treat) so no treadmill during lunch today. However, I did a 2 mile walk this evening around my neighborhood. I'm still able to GIT-R-DONE!

Back from a 1 mile walk with the family. Tomorrow's my weigh in day too! I am looking forward to seeing the number on the scale drop!

The closest thing I did today to exercise was walking around Wal-Mart for an hour while it was pouring down rain. I am disappointed in myself for that. Tomorrow I will do better!

I must confess that I didn't do anything on Friday or Saturday. But Sunday I went for a 3 mile walk on hills around the house with my dog, and then also did a 20 minute bike ride, and was active around the house doing chores.

Today my goal is to go for a walk if the weather is decent after work, or to do a video workout inside if the weather isn't nice.
