Default February Weight Loss Challenge

January has been an incredible month for meeting our weight loss goals (so much RED!), and I think we can be just as successful as a group again in February! It may be a shorter month, but it is THE month for the color RED , and so I know we're going to make it happen!

The rules of our challenge are simple. We are here to provide each other some accountability along the path to weight loss, so just set a weight loss related goal(s) and I'll add it to our goal list for the month of February. When you reach your goal for the month it will be turned RED in our goal list!

We have a sister thread for exercise goals, http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/chic...challenge.html, and all your exercise-related goals can be posted there; this thread is for weight loss goals specifically.

We love to hear about your success as well as your challenges throughout the month, so please share them with us. We're here to support and encourage each other to be our best.

I can't wait to see a big bunch of people reach their goals again this month!

I'm not going to set a goal for myself for February, as I have some medical stuff going on that is probably going to continue to mess with the scale. BUT, that doesn't mean I'm going to slack on my efforts (not even a little bit!), and I am looking forward to being here participating in the same way that I usually am.

I will be extremely busy with work the next few days, but will try to get the goal list made up mid-week (Wed or Thurs), and then add any latecomers this weekend. Just wanted to mention it in case I seem absent as people join the challenge over the next few days!

My weight goal for March 1 is 239.9 lbs. 2 lbs a week. I can do it!

I weigh on Sundays.

01/29: 247.6
02/05: 245.0
02/12: 240.0 (but I'm sick!)
02/19: 236.0
02/26:

My exercise goal is to run my C25K program 12 times in February. I don't mind repeating days, but I want to keep making progress.

Im still getting used to how fast my body is losing weight. Seems like Monday Ill weigh in 2lb lighter then the week before but it will go back up on Tuesday and I wont see that number again til Friday(my offical weigh in day). Its really odd lol.

Anyway my goal is to try and be down between 255 and 250 by March 1st.
Weighed myself today at 262 so 8lb by end of Feb would be totally awesome.

Thanks for this thread, great idea! I have been able to lose 2 lbs a week in the past, but now that I'm down to 155, I am going to aim for 5lbs in February, just over 1lb a week to be reasonable. I want to get into the 140's so badly!

Oo, oo, Mr. Kotter! I'm in for this challenge too!

I'm hoping to hit my Jan. goal on Wed of 160 so will shoot for 5 lbs. for Feb, down to 155.

Love these monthly challenges in between the other, longer challenges. Keeps me accountable and keeps me from being a slacky slacker.

eta: if I don't hit my Jan. goal then my goal w/be 6 lbs. down by the end of Feb. So either way I'm still looking for 155 by the end of Feb so I really didn't even need to post this, did I? I should go eat my lunch . . . .

My goal for Feb is to reach 185lbs (-5lbs) which is my 2nd minigoal and 5% of bodyweight lost ^_^

I didn't make my January goal. Boo hoo.
Part of my problem is how to set a meaningful goal as I slip into maintenance. A goal to lose a pound or so was only motivating in the first and last weeks of the month. But I still feel like I haven't found the low end of my maintenance range.

So, I'm going to try this as a goal:
Weigh 76.4 kgs or less for 14 or more days in February

I weigh myself in kilograms (I have less of an emotional attachment to the number). 76.4kgs was my average weight in January, so accomplishing this would be lowering my average a bit in February.
