October Exercise Challenge
It's perfect exercise weather here in Missouri -- I hope it is for you, too! Whether you exercise indoors or out, whether beginner or expert, we want you to join our monthly exercise challenge thread.
State your exercise goals for the month of October here. They will be added to our goal list. When your goal is met, it gets turned RED in celebration! Track your progress all month long with a supportive and encouraging group to cheer you. Our sister thread tracks non-exercise weight loss goals: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/chic...challenge.html Join one or both threads for some accountability and support. |
October will be a rebuilding month for me (to put a positive spin on September's exercise melt down). My goal for October is 1000 minutes of exercise.
|
Finally in a place with many workout options, so it's time to get down to business.
#1 goal: 3 weightlifting session a week, no matter what. #2 goal: 3 additional workouts (RPM, kickboxing, circuit training) per week. #3 goal: 70 kg (154 lbs) squat by the end of the month. |
I'm in! I have a medical procedure planned for mid-month that will preclude exercise for a few days, and so I'm going to set the same goals as last month: 20 days exercise and 100 miles (combo of any cardio). Hopefully I'll exceed that. :)
|
My exercise goal for October is 700 minutes of cardio.
|
I will set a modest but attainable goal of 600 minutes of cardio. I need to make the exercise time a priority.
|
I'm going to change things up a bit this month. I've started enjoying running, much to my surprise. So the minutes goal worked against me. My goal for October is 45 miles of running/walking.
|
Main Goals:
15 days of Shred DONE 12 gym sessions 1 long bike ride Week 1 goal: 5 days of Shred 3 days of Gym Week 2 Goal Bike 31.75 miles on Sunday 3 days of Gym 5 days of Shred Week 3 Goal 3 days of gym 5 days of level 2 Last week! 3 days at gym (That's all... this is a test week for me so no Shredding when I need studying!><) |
1- 3.5 mi run/walk; 3.5/45
|
I haven't been around in a couple of months. Still at goal and maintaining. I'll join the challenge this month. Since I can't workout 5 times a week anymore (it causes me to go below goal), I'll try for 3 days each week. I'll just set my goal for 15.
10/01 - 1 mile run and 20 mins stairmaster (1) |
I'll set my goal for 1200 min of cardio this month, which would mean going to my dance fitness class five times a week. I slacked off in September to more like 3x/week due to working lots of OT but I can't won't use that as an excuse anymore :p
10/1 - 60 min 10/2 - 60 min (120/1000) |
I definitely need an exercise goal this month as I see more movement in the scales when I exercise plus, I want to be toned and slim rather than wobbly and slim :D
So, my goal is 600mins of exercise this month. In that I will include any time digging down the allotment as man that is tiring!!! And it uses a variety of muscles as my aching body is screaming at me right now!!! So, to start this month I can chalk up 90mins already :D 90/600:D |
3FC is behaving oddly tonight, so let me know if I missed anyone.

October Challenge
Hello everyone, just starting out..my overall goal is 100 pounds. Since it is so hard for me to get started, I rather not focus on a number, but exercise instead. My goal:
To exercise 1000 minutes this month of October, that averages to about 32 minutes or so a day. Wish me luck!! |
Good luck getting started, seyismom! Sticking with it is SO worth it, I promise. :)
Oct 1 - Oct 2 - running and walking (3.2 miles total) Days: 1/20 Miles: 3.2/100 |
My October exercise goals are:
-everyday: do my 15min mat exercise/stretch routine -12x jogging for at least 30min -10x swimming laps for at least 45 min Last month I swam laps for 30 minutes 16 times, and I'm so impressed with what a huge difference sticking to my plan even though it was really difficult can do for my technique and endurance. Hopefully I'll see that kind of improvement in my jogging... 'cause I really suck at jogging right now. :S |
To miss ZERO days is always my goal! Sat. & Sun. are my rest days. Let's go!! :dust:

First weight lifting session of this week, in spanking new gym shoes (I never trained in shoes before, always barefoot). Lifted a little over 4 and a half tons all in all, then went to a nice BodyBalance class for muscle stretching and winding down.
50 kg on the squat for 3x5 sets with decent form, my leg muscles are kinda wrecked from the crazy weekend training (4 hours on Sunday alone). |
:dizzy: For October my goal is 700 minutes. Thanks for the great exercise challenge it will help me get off my rump and get things done.
