GAH! Im not weighing in until friday. I think If I can weigh on Friday to see what Im looking at for the weekend, then again on Monday to see where I am for the week will help me push.

I was killing it in the gym today. I really wanna lose about 10 more pounds then I want to incorp weights. I havent yet and I know I need to but I think in 10 more pounds im going to weight train 3 days.

OK, I just read the new posts, and you guys are all doing GREAT!!

I've been just lurking around and not posting much because I'm kind of grumpy on two fronts this week - I've just quit smoking, and additionally my scale has NOT been cooperating the past week! The past seven days have been 181.7 - 181.4 - 181.4 - 181.0 - 181.2 - 181.0 - 181.4 - 181.7. It's almost a palindrome, lol. The blips normally wouldn't bother me at all, but I'm SO anxious to get to 100 lbs lost that it's kind of driving me nuts! I think these fluctuations are probably hormonal - I had to go off the birth control mid-cycle to get some blood work done, and that prompted TOM. I go back on tomorrow, a new kind of pill, and so who knows what that will do to my weight. Not much I can do but wait it out and keep on pushing in the meantime, which is exactly what I intend to do. I have not yet and REFUSE to eat any more just because of quitting smoking; I will religiously observe my calorie range regardless. The weight will drop eventually, I am sure. :)

ANYWAY, I have been feeling a little cranky and haven't wanted to do much talking, but I have loved reading about everyone's great progress! Thanks to all of you for checking in and for helping to keep each other going. :)

chickadee - sorry it's been a rough ride so far, but good for you for quitting smoking AND staying on top of your eating. Quitting smoking is worth more than a pound or two of weight loss anyway. Hope things turn around soon!

ItsMyTurn 09-21-2011 07:49 AM

That's impressive Chickadie... grumpy or not. I haven't gotten to the point where I can quit smoking yet... one big thing at a time on start up... fitness, weight, soon to be school, then smoking

OK, both tags done! ange, I had to replace the sit-ups with crunches, lol. I had abdominal surgery about 10 weeks ago, and ab work has really been too painful to get back to thus far... but I figured I'd try the sit-ups anyway. I did 3 and had to stop, then did another 3 and had to stop, and finally just decided to go with crunches. Those seem to hit the upper abs more and were WAY less painful. I managed 40 of those in a minute. Yay!

OK, I tag Caramel33 and Chickie to do 3 planks (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kiA9j-dR0oM), holding each for as long as you can, and with a 30 second or 1 minute rest between each.

And I tag ange and Oxia to do 3 x 10 "Hello Darlings". Heh, I got this one from a book on bodyweight exercises, and I just love the name. Here's the description:

"Lie down on your back with your hands under your butt and your head up [lifted slightly off the floor]. Keeping your legs straight, lift your feet into the air, about six inches above the ground. Open your legs as wide as possible, then close them."

 Like I said, you've got to love the name for those!

Chickadee - my apologies, idk how i missed this post but I will definitely do my 3 planks today.... just watched the video.

Pickle27 09-23-2011 06:37 AM

Just a quick one from me to say I had a whoosh on the scales this morning :) Another 2.5lbs off so I've lost 7.5lbs so far this month :carrot::carrot::carrot: Only 2.5lbs to reach my September goal and 7days to do it in! Could be tricky but is definitely doable:)
Anyway, I did my crunches so I'm tagging Oxia and Teddine to do 30 squats. Have fun :)

2sw33t 09-23-2011 07:39 AM

Pickle - hooray for the whoosh! I'm hoping one comes my way, because right now I'm not even halfway to my September goal.

ItsMyTurn 09-23-2011 09:28 AM

Pickle - So glad to hear about your whoosh!!!! Congrats! It is such a nice feeling to see hard work pay off... patience is hard sometimes

2sw33t - You will get yours ... just have to keep on plan and insure you are doing things right .. you will receive your just rewards :)

Caramel33 09-23-2011 10:46 AM

Pickle27 - way to go on your whoosh and hard work :bravo:

Today is my WI day and I have lost another 2lbs :broc: I am happy to be out of the 220's!!! :D This also put me at a loss of 9lb and meeting my goal for Sept, woohoo!:dancer:

I did my planks and they are great so I might add them into my daily routine. Now I am going to tag caramelkitty & designfreak to do 3 planks also holding for at least 30sec with a rest in between each one.

ItsMyTurn 09-23-2011 01:57 PM

Caramel33 - Great job!!!! I am so very happy for you! That's huge!

ange82much 09-23-2011 07:43 PM

great achievements caramel and pickle! Here's permission to have a little dance around to congratulate yourselves!!

I've been sticking at it (apart from a scheduled couple of glasses of wine last night). Haven't been on the scales for a couple of days but i''m happy with what i've been eating and i'm sort of surprised that in the last 4 weeks i seem to have adapted too easily to smaller portions and lower carbs and no sweet stuff or fatty stuff.

Why aren't i craving that stuff more? Why is it seemingly working so well? Does it mean i'm going to suddenly feel deprived soon and not be strong enough to resist? Why when things are going well must i STILL worry!!!!!!

chickadee32 09-24-2011 10:53 AM

Thanks for the encouragement ladies! I really appreciate it. It has been a rough week all around, and it doesn't help that the scale has been going UP almost every day. I'm still eating 1200-1300 cals daily, still exercising, and the scale is going up. Grrrrr! It's got to be water weight, but it's really starting to get to me, and I hope I'll see this all whoosh off soon.

Pickle: Congratulations on your whoosh!! Please send the whoosh fairy my way now that you're done with her. :)

2sw33t: We have a week left in September to get there - we'll both fight to get there!

Caramel: CONGRATULATIONS on meeting your September goal!!! :carrot: :carrot: Way to go!!!

ange: I felt like I adapted pretty quickly to the diet changes I made as well; I was surprised how easy it was after just a few weeks to eat so much less than I had been eating for YEARS. It made me nervous too, but not anymore. It's nice to know that I can choose to eat so many fewer calories and still feel satisfied - I just have to keep making the right food choices! I'm glad it's been the same experience for you. :)

ItsMyTurn: THANK YOU for all the encouragement and cheers you've been giving everyone around here!

2Lbs down for me today.... I am a stinking .4lbs away from my goal! But... still feeling good cause I managed to comfortably get into Onederland despite a ton of stressors that have all hit me this month - so I am soooo good with that :) I have 6 days to get .4 off, that is so possible! :P

Oxia 09-25-2011 06:21 AM

:) I weighed myself today, and I'm happy to see that I met my goal! Officially I've lost 8.8lbs this month. :) Maybe I'll even be down that .2 by the end of the week for a loss of 9lb....

good luck to everyone else, and congrats as well!!!
