This is exactly my goal! I'm at 194 right now, so 50 lb and I'll be only 4 lb to my goal. I'm in!

Checking in for Week 2!! Hope everyone's having a good week! My brother's wedding went great -- perfect in fact. Prepping for that and spending time with family kept me busy!

50 lb. Challenge Check in
~Last week's NSV: Sort of a SV... I FIT into my bridesmaid dress. And I got tons of compliments.
~Last week's struggles: Getting to the gym. SO busy with wedding/family.
~This week's fitness goals: 3 trips to gym, 10 - 12miles.
~Last week's fitness achievements: Only one trip to the gym, but I did rock it! 2.3mi on the elliptical was easier than normal and I jogged 2.5miles without walking in about 27minutes. Walked the cooldown.
~This week's diet goals: Eat full meals on schedule, no grazing. Be conscious of hunger levels.
~Last week's diet achievements: REALLY stayed away from snacks. Tried to be super conscious of whether I was eating for hungry or social activity. Did pretty well even on days with Mexican feasts (rehearsal dinner) and BBQ (wedding dinner). Had a few drinks, but not excessive. Never went over 1900cal or below 1400. Really pleased with eating this week!

~Weigh ins
Week 1: 217.5 (Down 4lb, but mostly water weight as I burned off the pounds I'd gained back the previous 2 weeks. It won't be that high every week! )
Week 2: 212 (Down 5.5lb, which is too much for one week. But it was a busy week and the end of TOM. Some was water weight. ?? I haven't lost that much in one week since the very beginning of my loss. )

SW: 221.5
New Years goal weight: 175

50 lb. Challenge Check in

On the whole, I'm pleased with how last week went. I am trying to get away from calorie counting, diet type foods, and too many desserts. I'm trying to focus on whole foods, only eating what I truly love in appropriate portions. My goal is to get in 2 1/2 hours of exercise each week, whether that's 30 minutes a day or the week's total.

This is going to be a busy week for me and I'll probably weigh in on Saturday and post results for the following week that day because I'm going to be out of town celebrating my 25th Anniversary , Sunday through Tuesday. We're going to Disneyland, where I'm pretty sure I'll be able to not only stay on plan but get in more than enough exercise with all the walking around we'll be doing.

Congrats to everyone on their losses!!!

~Last week's NSV: After slipping on Saturday, I got right back on track on Sunday.
~Last week's struggles: Major binge on Saturday evening.
~This week's fitness goals: Basically, 30 minutes of exercise 5x a week.
~Last week's fitness achievements: While I didn't workout 30 minutes 5x a week, I still managed to hit my target goal of 2 1/2 hours of exercise for the week by getting in a one hour walk on Saturday.
~This week's diet goals: Eat whole foods, manage portions, drink 64 oz of water every day.
~Last week's diet achievements: Except for my Saturday binge, I was on target.

Default Check-in

So, we have som new "faces" joining us on the challenge. A great big WELCOME to Mommy1028, sarahxsimon and HeyHeyGabby. We are now up to 16 challenger. That's a total of 800 pounds we will lose. Hmmm, 800 lbs... Pretty incredible.

Congratulations on your losses so far. We're off to a great start. Great job, Jen, weddings can be such derailers.

50 lb. Challenge Check in
~Last week's NSV: Last week's NSV is R Rated... I was able to do a certain difficult and very aerobic...Ahem...sex possition and not huff and puff like I would have a month ago. Afterwards, my husband said, "Holy cow, working out is seriously making you strong, I can't believe your legs aren't mush right now." Hey, it's a bit TMI but it's exciting to be able to me getting stronger even if the scale isn't moving as fast as I'd like it to.
~Last week's struggles:My joggin stroller got a flat tire on Monday. I walked with it flat on Tuesday but for fear of ruining it, didn't use it for the rest of the week. My husband took the DVD player somewhere and I couldn't do my DVD's so I kind of gave up on fitness from Wednesday on. I did take my son to town to "shop/walk" twice, so I got in some movement but no real cardio.
~This week's fitness goals: My husband and I are preparing to start the GSP Rushfit program. We spent all weekend watching before and after videos. His 30th birthday is at the end of September and he wants to get fit (for the first time in his life) before the big party. I just want to get fit, but it would be awesome to get in shape for the pictures that will surely be happening at the weekend long party we are hosting. So, in preparation, I will be doing losts of burpees, squats, crunches and push-ups this week.
~Last week's fitness achievements: I burning 1,300 calories on Monday
~This week's diet goals: I need to drink more water. I noticed it this weekend when my BM's were harder. I plan on drinking at least 64 oz. of water before I break fast every day.
~Last week's diet achievements: I ate at a brunch buffet on Sunday and managed to maintain my planned fast the rest of the day and hope to finish that fast today at lunch time.
~Weigh insStart: 199
Week 1:198 (1 lb down, 49 to go)
Week 2:196.2 (1.8 down, 47.2 to go)

Thanks for the welcome! Feeling down this morning... I need to stop weighing myself every day because it's really depressing to work really hard and eat right and gain 4 lbs. over night how this happened I have no idea...
