I am a new runner, and I recommend the Couch to 5k program from Cool Running. Google it and you won't be sorry. It's free, effective and rewarding, and it worked for me. Also, take it slow in the beginning. Joining late...
It's 14 weeks away (and 100 days!) so I'd like to be down 10 pounds. I am at 175 now, that would put me at 165. I'd also like to have gotten up into Handstand in yoga on a regular basis, and be working on balance in forearm stand with my feet away from the wall. And I would like to have hiked at least 2 mountains. |

My drivers license says 230 and it's been there so long that I can't remember EVER weighting 230 (or less)...LOL! :o But, I'm working now to turn that big fat lie into the truth...LOL! |

Sylv -- Thanks for the WTG! :D Yeah, I think I was 60lb over the 225 when I filled out the license app! But I had to up it when I realized that no one was going to believe that I still weighed 170, which is what it said prior to that!!! It was a surprise to me to realize that I had reached my DL weight. I got carded at a bar and said "wow, I actually weigh that!" :lol:
