March Weight Loss Thread
 
Happy March everyone! Here's another month and another chance to make some goals and challenge ourselves to keep moving forward in the process of weightloss.

The rules of this thread are simple. We are here to provide each other some accountability along the path to weight loss. So, you just set your weight loss related goal(s) and it gets added to a goal list. When you reach your goal, it gets turned Red. We have a sister thread for exercise related goals: February Exercise Challenge. All exercise related goals can be posted there. We love to hear about your success, as well as your challenges throughout the month. We're here to support and encourage each other to be our best. So, let's get started!

Ms P, thanks SO much for doing this thread again. I know it's really time consuming for you, but it's such a help to so many of us. When I've been around a little longer I'll be happy to help out with it.

I'm definitely in for March. I'll weigh on March 1 to get a start weight, and will set a goal weight then.

Hi, I'd love to join in this. I've really hit crunch time just now, so the more challenges for motivation the better.

My aim is to lose 5kg in March, it's a high goal, but I've still got a lot to lose and am planning on really working hard this month.

Starting at 89KG 196.2lb Target is 84KG 185.1lb

My non-weight related goal is to be successful in reaching week 7 of c25k by the end of March, and therefore be jogging 25mins non stop (which right now sounds far harder than losing 5kg does!)

Hello! A new month is upon us! I again didn't manage too much so here I am with another 10lb goal this month! So.... I'm 240 and need to get to 230 by the end of this month to make goal. :carrot:

I came up a little short for February's goal, but I'm looking forward to this new month's challenge. My goal for March will be to reach 240 lbs. Today, I'm sitting at 249.4 lbs, but my official start weight will be determined at tomorrow morning's WI. As it stands now, that means 9.4 lbs for the month...I will update in the morning!

Hi!! I'd love to join in here.
I'm 147 now, but by the end of March I would LOVE to see 139.999 lol. I know it will be tough, but I'm going to try my absolute hardest to get there.

Let's see . . .
My goals for March are:
1) Lose 10 lbs from tomorrow's weigh-in
2) Fit into the dress I bought to see Les Miserables in at the end of the month
3) Finish c25k in the second week of March, then increase running speed by a half mile/hour.

I'm in!!! I need something to keep me motivated! I'd like to be 153 by the end of March. I think 5 lbs down is a reasonable goal :) Ultimate goal would be 149 but I'm not so sure that's realistic. It would be a nice birthday present to myself though! lol :)

*sigh* February was kind of a bust. =/

I mostly maintained my weight. Well, bounced is a more correct description. Constantly up and down between 169 and 166. But at least I didn't gain!

My March goal is 165 lbs. I may lower this after I see what my weight is following TOM, which should be here any day.

Alright, my first official weigh-in for March was 248.0...which is a -1.4 drop from yesterday. Nice way to start out my month! Hopefully I can keep this up throughout, lol.

Glad to be starting a new month! I didn't quite make my 10 lb. loss for February, thanks to the stomach flu and the horrible weather. I'm hoping this month will be so much better!

I'm also happy to be in a new month! Feb wasn't terrible, but I so didn't reach my full potential, this month, I WILL! Started with a good three meals, one snack of fruit and a great workout, gotta keep it going throughout the month :)

Ophelia - yay!! The loss is finally catching up!! I'm really excited for you. :)


My official starting weight as of this morning is 253.1 lbs., and my goal this month is to weigh less than my husband :lol: . I used to weigh less than him, but a few years ago he dropped about 30 pounds just by cutting out regular soda. Last night I made him get on the scale, and he was at 243.2, so I'll make my goal 243.1 for this month to shoot for an even 10 lb. loss.

Start weight is 253.1 lbs, goal weight for March is 243.1 lbs.

Hey all!

I have had a busy month and not much time to have my face glued to the net like i usually do! haha i have lost some weight last month but i def did not stay perfectly on plan.. i thnk i need to easy into things a bit gently unlike what i tried in feb.. i def set myself up for a let down.

Anyway.. my goals are NO BINGES, DO SOMETHING ACTIVE EVERYDAY ( take baby for a walk, or dvds) MAKE HEALTHY FOOD CHOICES, SIGN IN ON HERE EVERYDAY and POST!

Do Cardio for an Hour 5 x a week.

Weight 3/31/11 222.2. I only lost 4 Lbs this month.

Hello everyone! My goal is 180 for this month. I weighed in this morning and I am at 188 so 8lbs for this month. I started out at 200 Jan 1st so it is coming off slowly. When I lost my first 10, I bought a new nail buffer and nail polish. When I get to 180, I am getting my hair highlighted which it has been forever since I treated myself to something like that.

This is my first challenge, and I'm really excited! :D My 18th birthday is at the end of March, so I'm going to make this a BIG goal. It will probably seem unreasonable to most of you, but I'm giving it a shot regardless. I'm cutting out a lot of excess calories, and drinking plenty of water (usually all I ever drink is Diet Coke) and the weight typically comes off fast for me in the beginning, so here is my March goal...

SW: 245 pounds
GW: 215 pounds

Do 10 touch and go squats (see this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWvJ14cwwKU) and 10 pushups (wall, knee, standard - whichever you can do).

Good Morning!
Yesterday was 100% OP - planing for another today. I got out and walked yesterday but couldn't get as far as I normally would because there is still lots of snow and my boots weren't up to fording the small ponds in the low lying areas. No matter - it was just nice to be outdoors walking in the fields and woods again!

I am down 0.2 to 247.8 today. Like I said elsewhere this morning, it is a little slowly, but it's surely, so I'll take it!

dcapulet - I plan on doing the C25k as well this Spring when it warms up a little bit outside. I'm going to be following everyone's progress over the next month or so to prepare for mine, so I just wanted to say good luck with yours!

Today was my first 100% OP day in along while. Counted every WW point and now I can rest well knowing I have done well in both food and activity. :D
