Yesterday was 100% OP - planning for another today :)
Hope you're day is a good one! |
Hey everyone :)
Im really struggling with finding balance. It's hard for me to stay on plan when im not totally consumed by exercising and eating. (and i cant be consumed like that when i have a 2 mth old ) anyway.. going grocery shopping today.. so at least having the right healthy options in my house will help! Making some hummus today. i love that stuff.. and its so easy to make.. although my bf gets a little upset when i go too crazy with the garlic...hahaha ophelia: I plan on stating c25k next month. shall we start it together? it's always good to have a partner! susie: congrats on the on plans days! you rock! |
Happy March. I got below 150 for the last few days of Feb., but on March 1st I was 150.4, so that's my starting number. Bummer. My goal will be to get to 145 (It seems like that's the long term goal I haven't and can't seem to reach).
This is going to be a crazy month for me, with Mardi Gras that takes place in my neighborhood this Saturday (utter debauchery), and another big event later in the month with lots of eating and drinking and playing, so I'm going to have to work extra hard to stay on track. I had the flu over the weekend and am not quite right yet--achy and headaches, just blah, so exercise has been difficult. MsP: I will work on getting the updates done on the list tonight! Thanks for getting the ling list done! |
LouisaH-I ended up home with a sick kid today, so I'll go ahead and do the update so you can actually read and respond to people if you so desire. Thanks for everything!
Well into another OP day. It helps to have this day to plan and get stuff done around the house so I can be more successful the rest of the week. |

well guys ive almost walked 6 miles this week so far which is a big accomplishment for me :) i know i can drop 10 lbs this month! I can do it ;)
|
dcapulet, ophelia, fauxtini - I am planning to start C25K this month as well. For some reason I thought my gym had an indoor track and so I was planning to do it there, but no track - so I guess it's going to need to be outside or on the treadmill. I'd prefer outside, but I kind of don't feel safe walking/running alone in the dark and evening is the only time of day I have available. I guess that means I'll need to start on the treadmill, where the svelte gym goers will be able to see all my jiggling and huffing :o.
So... my weight was down a little more yesterday morning, my normal weigh-in day... and the scale put me right at my first real milestone: 10% body weight lost! So watch out 20% - my sights are set on you next! |
chickadee-Congrats on such a big milestone!!! Way to stick with it and now you know you can do it for the long haul.
oklahomachick-Good job on the 6 miles! I've gotten back to my walking dvd's. I'm doing them first thing in the morning now. It's new for me to have to get up to my own alarm..used to just get up when DH's alarm went off. |
Yesterday was OP - planning for another today.
The scale is starting to move - it's the walking :) Hope your day is a good one :carrot: |
Today I'm up, hoping it's water weight after nearly killing myself on Tues and being in mega pain because of it Weds n Thurs. Rather than teh accidental gin binge on Wed night.
Have got a good workout in today, and plan to do the same tomorrow. Also, done pretty well with food today, but did snack a little at work. Making up for my 'fails' this week by not having a treat weekend. I only get the treats if I keep on plan in the week. So, hoping an OP day tomorrow will see a shift by Sunday morning! |
Well, I went back up 0.8 to 247.6 this morning. I didn't go over calories, and not too far over on sodium. If anything, I ate too few calories, which I suppose could be the culprit just as easily. Also, I worked out and was a couple glasses short on my water last night. Hopefully, the scale will show a loss again by tomorrow.
|
Hey all -
Ophelia - thank you! I agree about this weather - i'm not running outside yet either. too cold. fauxtini and chickadee - woo hoo! more c25k buddies! Just hanging in there, trying to keep up with my life. A pretty good week - down 1lb! c25k w1d2 done! |
Back down to 246.0 this morning, so I'm guessing the bounce up was just a temporary fluctuation...whew!
Fauxtini, Dcapulet, and Chickadee - Yay, of course! I just now saw all the other C25k posts. Looks like Spring is a good time for everyone. I would love to join in together, because I know if I'm going to be trying running, I will need all the focus I can muster to keep at it, haha. I'm going to try getting a good pair of shoes some time this month for it...are any of you getting specific ones, and - if so - do you have any recommendations? I never knew there were so many types of walking/jogging/running shoes until I started some research on it. I'll have to see if I can find an actual store who can help determine my gait, I guess...? Have any of you had experience with this, or are you just going to wing it? |
 down 2 pounds yaaay finally at 20 pounds lost so exciting!!!
|
Yay, 3.3lb down this week, very happy! I had a 24 hour wobble midweek, but have done four days of hardcore workouts and stuck to my diet plan perfectly 4 days, almost perfectly 2 days and had one wobble day.
I'm another c25k runner. Did day one of week 4 last night, and am so looking forward to challenging myself with the long runs soon, if it works, it'll be a miracle! SW89kg CW87.5kg GW84kg 1.5kg down, 3.5kg to go! |
Hey all! It's back to the grind tomorrow...
I had a pretty successful weekend and I have my WW meeting tomorrow to weigh in and I anticipate about a 2 pound loss. This is incredible..being so OP for this many days is fantastic. I better hit the sack so I can get up for my date with Leslie Sansone tomorrow. ;) |
well guys im down 4 lbs! Yay! Only 6 more to go for this march goal :)
ms perception- thank you. I dont have any walking dvds but i have the 30 day shred dvd. Its pretty good. |
My weight loss goal is to loss 9lbs in March.
|
Hey guys! Sorry about forgetting to post on here yesterday.
Anyways, I got a new scale last night, because my old one was on the fritz and inconsistent. (I've been needing to do this for quite some time!) I've already made a post about it in comparison to my old one, so I hope you guys don't mind if I just quote the relevant bit of that here instead of retyping it all: Quote:
---------------- Carved - Congrats on hitting 20 lbs lost! :yay: Takingcontrol - Wow, look at you...you're doing awesome staying on plan like that! Also, how have you been liking the C25k so far? MsP - Great job staying on plan, too! You guys are doing great. :) OklahomaChick - Almost halfway there, you can do it! BBWDIVA - Welcome to the thread! |
MsP: I'm so proud of you--spread some of that go go juice over this-a-way! I tracked my food today for the first time in forever. I seem to start it and then blow it off halfway through the day, but I desperately need to get back to it for the accountability.
I had a pretty irresponsible Mardi Gras weekend and paid for it on the scales today--151.6 yikes. That's up 1.2 from the 1st, so it's time to get my rear in gear and get my weight down before the next big weekend that's coming up very soon! What happened to my motivation to exercise for two hours to make up for the parties? I'm hoping that as it warms up and it's time to start shedding some clothes, my inspiration will return and I'll be ready to take off the winter fat! It's exciting and inspiring to see so many great losses right out of the gates here--keep up the good work, chicklets, you're doing so great! |
Horrible weigh-in. Went back up +1.4 to 245.4...think I may be mistaken about being able to handle the 1400 calories and still lose. Last night was my first workout since adjusting my calories a few days ago, though, so maybe I'm just retaining some fluids from that. I hope so. Completely deflated this morning, but will keep on track today and see what happens tomorrow. I started this month out with a bang, but it's pretty much slowed to the pace of cold molasses since. I'm not overeating, I'm drinking my water...maybe I just need to escalate my exercise to the next level? Will use today for pondering. Hope everyone else is having a good day today!

BBWDIVA28-Good to have you with us!
Thanks for the encouraging words, ladies! Today marks my 7th day tracking and I was rewarded with a 3 lb loss last night at WW. :D I'm using Mondays as my weigh in day for here since its my WW weigh in day too. I feel very encouraged in general, but today I'm feeling hungrier than normal...maybe it's cycle related since there's no reason for it otherwise. So it's my first test...can I be self-controlled during ALL stages of my cycle? The week or so before TOM is when I get super munchy and feel like I'm being starved when I stick OP, but that shouldn't be until next week. Oh well. One day at a time and be thankful for the losses. |

LouisaH-Here you go..:dust: Hope it helps! Now that Mardi Gras festivities are done, you can resume healthy eating and good choices. And if you don't it's :frypan: for you!!
|
Hi all! Sorry I haven't posted in several days... I always think to come on my official weigh-in days, but that's just once per week and I really need to get to this thread more often. It seems like lots of you have had a ton of progress - awesome!!
Ophelia - you were 247.6 on 3/4, and today you are 245.4 - that's a big difference in 4 days, even if you take the 0.4 lb difference between your scales into account! I know it's frustrating seeing the up and down, but don't feel deflated - the weight IS coming off, even if the number looks different each day. On the shoes front: I plan to go to a running store nearby and have them size me. I know the shoes will be a big expense, but I'd rather that than an injury with my current shoes (which should have been replaced a while back). My biggest hurdle, I think, is figuring out the sports bra thing. carved - congratulations on 20 lbs lost! That's a big milestone! :carrot: takingcontrol - that's a fantastic loss! You're motivating me to get started on the C25K ASAP :) okhlahoma - amazing, congratulations on the 4 lbs down! Ms. P - I'm so excited for you!! You're doing amazing at staying on plan, and you are going to blow your goal away this month. I bet you'll be the first of us to reach goal for March - I am pulling for you! :) Louisa - hang tight, the motivation will be back in no time... and in the meantime you could just pretend you're feeling motivated ;) slimlizzie - stick with it, you'll see the drop soon :) I'll do my official weigh-in tomorrow morning, but I don't expect much change on the scale from today or the weekend. I've been stuck right around 250 for the past three days despite being on plan... TOM is arriving and I'm feeling bloated, and I'm sure that's the reason. At least I have a drop to look forward to when TOM moves out! |
 everyone!
Lost 1.8 last WI. Sending out all those resumes finally paid off cause I have an interview tomorrow! :carrot: :grouphug: |
As expected, not much change. Official weigh-in this morning was 249.6 lbs. Can't wait for that drop after TOM...
|
Hey chicklets, I'm up 1.4 pounds from yesterday, which doesn't make sense. I wasn't exactly angelic yesterday, but all in all it was a good day, so I'm attributing it to the fact that I lifted some weights for a change and sometimes that makes me retain water. Either way, I am going to be better today, with the help of some of that Will Power Dust!
Thanks MsP, and super duper congrats on 7 days of tracking and being on plan. Three pounds is certainly a good motivator to stick with it! Thanks Chickadee--ain't that the truth, mind over matter is EVERYTHING, in every aspect of life, really. Shari, good luck with the job interview. Sorry I don't have more time for personals--keep up the healthy eating everyone! We've got some fresh local spinach and lettuce coming in from a farm today, so I'm lucky! |
Ms P Would you please change my goal to 164 pounds? =)
|
I'm back down a tiny bit (-0.4) to an even 245.0, but still trying to get back to where I was the other day. Staying steady with the 1400 calorie experiment until I can get a better feel of how upping the calories will effect me overall. Also did a workout with a bit more focus on aerobics last night, so I may do that again tonight just to try sweating it out a bit.
Slimlizzie - I feel your pain, but keep at it and you will start dropping again! Chickadee - Thank you. I'm still trying to learn how to gracefully accept fluctuations up and down, especially during times of experimentation. And, I think I'm going to do the same with getting some shoes. I found an actual running store in Oklahoma City that does proper fittings, so I will probably make a trek there sometime over the next weekend or two. It's about a 1.5 to 2 hr drive, but I think it will be worth it to get an accurate, safe fit and a decent shoe. The only nearby places for shoes are basic shops like Foot Locker and a sporting goods store that only has a small slat wall section of shoes available...not very nice at all, lol. Let me know how it goes for you when you get fitted, and good luck with finding a good sports bra, as well! JasonsLea - Congrats on the loss, and ! LouisaH - Any time I do any exercise that is related to strength training, I always see a small jump the next morning, so I have no doubts that it's just fluid retention in your muscles. Either way, here is a little more dust for you today! :dust: Bunneh - Congrats on already getting to the 165 successfully, and good luck with the updated goal! |
WTG..losers!
Well I went a little insane yesterday I ate a ton of Gluten free multi grain crackers and butter AND some wonderful DARK CHOCOLATE Today the scale finally moved down 1 pound! yes!! .... now back to the book.. 182 181 180 179 178 177 176 175 174 173 172 171 170 169 168 167 166 165 164 163 162 161 160 159 158 157 156 155 154 153 152 151 150 149 148 147 opheliaphoenix: love the dragonflys |
chickadee You really should give it a go, I can't believe how much I'm enjoying it, and how now I'm looking forward to a future as a runner, I NEVER thought that would happen!
Well done to everyone seeing loses, and chin up to those whose scales are being stubborn. I saw 86kg when I checked out the scales today (naughty!) But not recording anything until Sunday, but that's given me so much motivation to go for it over the next two days now! Good luck all :) |
c25k girls: shall we start on april 1st?
I finally have a scale.. and im ready to be serious. Im realizing that i need tos tep on that scale everyday.. because i know i wont mess nup as much if i know i have to step on mr scale each morning! sorry i have been so MIA lately... trying to find balance with new baby... healthy living and keeping this house clean! haha more later.. baby is awake! im soooooo pumped for c25k!!!! I have done it before.. and it's soo great! and it works!! i cant wait to get back into it.. it really boosted my weightloss.. the first time around... and running makes me feel DARN good! I hate doing it on a treadmill.. im too awkward i think and i feel liek im falling off of it all the time! hehe |
Had too much sodium and went a little over on carbs yesterday, so I was expecting a bounce this morning...but, I weighed in at 244.8, which is actually a -0.2 loss. Not great, but better than the gain I was expecting. Makes me wonder if I may have had a mini whoosh had I not had all that sodium yesterday. :headache: Probably not, but it still makes me want to kick myself...lol.
Slimlizzie - Don't you love it when the scale starts to cooperate? ;) Congrats on the nice loss! Takingcontrol - Good luck! Looking forward to seeing what you get in two days' time. Fauxtini - Sounds good to me! That's what I was planning on doing, starting on the 1st. Hoping that will make April a better month for losing than March is shaping up to be. Still need to make my 2 hr trek up to the city to get fitted for some new running shoes, but then I will be set. Starting to get excited! I really hope I can train my body to run without feeling like dying, haha. I've always been drawn to the idea of being a runner, but never thought I could do it. All these c25k stories have me pumped up too, though! :hyper: |
Helloo...
long time no see ladies.... I'm not losing anything right now...figured I'd let yall know...be accountable and all that.... talk to yall later!

TheBunneh-I changed your goal. GREAT JOB on reaching your initial goal! :cheer: Really you deserve RED, but I'm confident it will take you no time to hit 164, then we for sure will give you red even if you set another goal for the remainder of the month.
I have fluctuated a bit here. Last night the family and I went out to eat and I split a burger and fries with DH, so I got the taste I wanted but not the HUGE portion. So, I feel good about that, but I saw a small move up on the scale. Tomorrow I expect to see a more accurate read that I can report, though it's not official until Monday. I'm still down over 3 pounds even with the fluctuation which is encouraging. I'd love to reach goal by Monday just so I can actually set a new goal. I've NEVER had to do that! Being healthy ROCKS!! NightAngel-Glad you checked in. Have a fantastic day and do something that makes you smile! |
