February Exercise Challenge
How will you move in February?
Everyone is welcome to post fitness and exercise goals for February 2011 here and then track them through the month. Log your workouts, your minutes, the times you take the steps instead of the elevators, anything that gets you moving more whether the goal is big or small. State your goal in a post. I will add your goal to the goal list. When you reach your goal, it gets turned Red. We have a sister thread February Weight Loss Challenge for weight loss goals. Join in one thread or both! We'd love to have you with us. |
February is a short month, so I'm going for 1300 minutes again. I'm also going to continue putting a * on entries where I avoided doing the same workout two days in a row because that helped my variety.

My goal is to make it to the gym 12 times and workout at home at least six. I will be traveling for work this month so I'm hoping that I will be able to reach my goals.:D

I did pretty good working out last month, but in December this thread motivated me, checking in every day. Since its a short month. My goal will be 1000 min this month.

my goal is 1000 minutes. I do need to take it easy as i'm still not cleared for hardcore exercising since my c-section.... but 1000 minutes... i can do it!
1-50 mins WATP 4 fast miles 2-50 mins WATP 4 fast miles 3-32 mins biggest loser power walk 1-2 4-32 mins biggest loser power walk 3-4 5-0 ordered to take it easy so my surgery scars can heal properly) 6-30 minutes carpet shampooing ( talk about a workout!) |
My goal will be 20/28 and 1200 minutes.

My Goal for this month, is to do something everyday. I like doing the 60 minutes of step a day and I would like to keep up with that. But I think It would be good If I took at least one day off a week. I don't want to over do it.
So I guess 24/28 and 60 minutes a day. |
I been wanting to jump into HIGH gear with working out and jumping right in might be DRASTIC but I been ready for soooo LONG so my goal is to do 20/28 days for a total of 1200 minutes.... Wish me luck!

I am gonna try for 1500 minutes! Last month, I only tried for 1000 and I know I can do that plus more this month.

I joined this group in January and it really motivated me, and I hit my goal of 168 kms and passed it!
2011 kilometers in 2011 means 155 kms in February! And here's my February so far: 1. 3 walk + 5 gym = 8 kms Total for February: 8 kms |

I'll be doing the same as last month:
Cardio 3X a week, ST'ing (strength training) 3X a week. Let's make February count ladies!!!! New to the site...but I'll join this challenge! My goal for February is to average 5 miles/day on the treadmill/elliptical/bike. Total of 140 miles for the month.

It's a little hard to calculate how many minutes of workout I do a month, since I'm following 'Insanity' and each workout can vary anywhere from 30 minutes, to 60. I will aim for 1000 minutes, 24/28 days this month. I'll post the amount of minutes my workout was and what kind of workout I did that day :)

:mad:Im In on this one. I bombed January. Snowed in and didnt do dvds at home totally my fault :mad:. my goals are 1) yoga :yoga: 3 times a week~no excuses 2) cardio 3 times week :tread:. I did stepping before I may use my evening sports as motivation. Im working on goal and the end is in sight supper motivated to get there. wooo hooo lets kick some bootie ladies!! I want to knit a pair of socks by the end of the month dont know if that counts :D lol

Agh, I'm still panting! We got no breaks in that workout, and I'm starting to notice the stretches are usually the time I sweat the most. I lasted a little longer without completely stopping to rest or get water, so I'm happy about that. My goal for this month is to walk (either outside or with WATP) at least 18 miles per week. I would also like to get up to the 4 mile walk with WATP.

:D (This excercise goal/challenge extends past feb.) ;) I have already planned to at least walk one mile a day every day until I reach my goal weight, and probably even long after that :) (Not including all of the walking I do, just walking excercise) On monday night my sister challenged me to walk 100 miles by April 5th :pFeb. 1st - April 5th: 64 DAYS! (more than 1.5 miles per day) :o So far I have 5 miles down ... 95 to go! :D |
I'd like to join this challenge as well, but I JUST started exercising (literally on Monday) and have never exercised regularly before, so my goals for this month are really modest. Right now I am only fast-walking on the treadmill for 30 min, but plan to start with some weight training next week. I am hoping that joining this challenge will help me to stay on track!
Goals for February: Make it to the gym 20 of 28 days, add weight training 2x per week, and increase to 45 min on the treadmill on cardio days by the end of the month. Feb 1 - 30 min on the treadmill |

xXLosingItXx: most of us repost everyday -- it helps facilitate a little conversation during the month. Although, we aren't very chatty (we're busy exercising!) so if you prefer to update your first post, that's fine, too. I keep my log as a notepad file on my desktop so I can easily cut and paste from there. 2/2: 100 min @ gym (bike, elliptical, treadmill) Aprox. 500+ calories burned. 2/3: 2/4: 2/5: 2/6: I was dragging at the gym today. I had almost no energy. Could be a couple factors. The gym didn't open until noon because of the weather, and I'm used to going in the morning after breakfast. I also feel really awful with this cold. I hope being sick doesn't negatively affect my weight loss. |

My goal is to get back on my interval training on my treadmill, and my crunch and squat ruitine and be able to out run my boyfriend <3
Oh and interval training increase by 1-5 on speed progressively. |
