  • Fresno-the 160s will be here in no time, just keep up all the hard work you are doing and it will happen. Im waiting on the 180s to get here. We go to Bay City some, small world, lol.

Dance-I need to get back into walking. 30 day shred seems to slow me down. I should start back slow, maybe 2 miles and build back up. I'll need you and Vicky for miles buddies soon.

Vicky-so sorry you hurt your knee, but Jeff sounds so incredible for doing the treatments for you for free. Dont cancel that 5k yet, you make be back to your old self before you know it. Good luck with getting it better.

Had the boys all night and just got home. Dont have any fun plans for the weekend but am getting bored sitting here now. I will probably have the boys Sat and Sun days. Want to go look at some rent to own garages. We need some storage space.

Chris wants to eat out tonight, I dont. Not sure what our final decision will be.

    Sandy-we miss you!!!!!!!
  • Hi ladies!
    Happy Friday!
I'm at 171 today. At this point, I'm just gonna laugh about it and keep being patient.
I am going to work my buns off tomorrow at the gym...we'll see if that will spark the ol' metabolism a bit.
Burgundy, it IS a small world! Michigan is lovely...I miss it..other than the winters. lol You have done a great job so far! Keep up the good work!
No other news here today, girls. Hope all is well with all of you!
  • Day 20 DONE!!!!!!!!! Only 10 more now. I like that its only 20 minutes but am SOOOOO bored with all 3 levels. I need to switch it up.

Hope you're all having a great start to the weekend. I will be with the boys all weekend. Might take them to the beach or hit up some garage sales(not that I need anything). Talk to everyone soon.

Walked a mile with the pups, Lizzy was huffing and puffing so we turned around. The humidity was horrible today.
  • Morning, ladies! I'm sort of enjoying the construction imposed break from the scale (scale is upstairs behind a taped off and plastic-ed door). Heading out for a run in a bit, after coffee.

burgundy - woohoo for day 20! I'm really impressed by your commitment, as always.

fresno - how was your workout? What did you do at the gym?

maddiesmom - how are your knees?

I have tons of errands to run today and need to go by and visit my sis who's recovering from oral surgery yesterday. What's everyone else up to today?
  • Hey ladies!
The scale bounced from 170 to 170.5 today, so I think I'm finally making a little progress.
I did hit the gym yesterday - I did 2.5 miles on the treadmill, 3.5 on the bike, tricep machine, ab machine and thigh crunch. =) So, I'm feeling it a little today, but I'm going to stick with it and take a bike ride soon.
How are all of you doing today?
  • Hey ladies, finally home!!!! The boys were both grumpy all day and just wanted to fight with each other, so that made for a long day. Took them to the beach for 2 hours just to get them out of the house and away from each other. Did day 22 and had a nice yummy salad for dinner. Now relaxing until Big Brother comes on. Might take the pups out and jump. Lizzy loves the trampoline.

Dance-great way to stay away from the scale. I am surprised at my commitment to 30ds too. I have thought about stopping but I am so close now.

    Fresno-great workout. Keep it up.

Hope everyone is doing good. Have a great night.
  • OK ladies, after a five-mile walk in the heat (and the realization that I should've worn my new running shoes v. my old ones, lol) yesterday, the scale finally budged! It's at 169 today. YAY!
I think I may just be inspired to do another 5-mile walk...lol
Tonight my plan is to do the 'core express' class, and a yoga class, at the gym. Tomorrow I think the boyfriend and I are biking together at the park.
    How are you all doing?

Burgundy, what exactly are you doing, regarding the 30 days? I must have missed it. Whatever it is, good work so far!

    Dancer, how was your weekend?

Hope all is well. Happy Monday! (yawn)
  • fresno - woohoo for the 160s!!! Now, did I tell you it would happen this weekend or what!?! Good for you - sounds like you got lots of exercise.

I was kind of lazy yesterday but apparently that was what I needed. I tripped on the sidewalk (oh so graceful, I know) and skinned my knee like a six-year-old and used that as my lazy excuse - recovery time. Not sure what all the csi and law and order episodes had to do with the recovery but I'm sure it was vital. Am planning on a walk with a buddy tonight and a run tomorrow so I should be back in the game shortly.

Hope you all are doing well!
  • Dancer, you are a great predictor! I appreciate your support!

I'm feeling a lot better now that I've been working out again.

And, I had to LOL @ your comment about the crime show re-runs. I'm right there with you. My guilty TV pleasure, on occasion, is Bridezillas. Haha. =) I just wonder how even THOSE women can be on the verge of getting married, when they're so awful to everyone. It kind of depresses me, lol
  • fresno - I've watched a few of those and I just end up feeling really sorry for the grooms. I'm sure they ham it up for the cameras and all but still - serious maturity issues with those girls! That's just wonderful about all your exercise - keep up the good work!!

    Food plan for today -
    B: blackberries and peach yogurt
L: french onion soup at panera, ww baguette
    D: rotisserie chicken, broccoli, quinoa
S: lf string cheese, almonds, carrots

    What's everyone else eating?

ETA - maddiesmom - how's your recovery coming? hope your knees are hanging in there!
  • Hi Ladies,

    Gotta make this one short...

Sorry I was MIA again, I have been potty training Madeline the past 4 days, which really has left me with no personal time whatsoever. She's getting the hang of it, but I have to be by her side 24/7.

Still at 197 - no loss. I haven't been running since my knees are so bad again. Turns out that the injury is all on my knees and it will take 10 ARP sessions to fix it. I go back tomorrow at lunchtime for Jeff to zap me again. He's going to give me special workouts that will still let me get a workout in without hurting my knee. It's been hurting a ton, but I haven't cancelled the 5K yet, we'll see how it goes.

Have a great night, I'm back at work tomorrow, so I'll have time to write more then.
  • maddiesmom - good luck with potty training! I'm sure it will be great when it's over but it sounds like a tricky time for now. So sorry your knees are still causing you pain - that's so tough. Hang in there!

I'm afraid I'm coming down with a cold which is a bummer as I usually only get a cold or so a year and I've definitely already had mine this year. I woke up with a sore throat but have been sucking on zinc lozenges which sometimes help.

    Food plan for today:
    B: cereal and nectarines
    L: chicken and veggies
    D: tillapia and salad
  • Fresno-yay for the 160s. You rock, we knew you could do it. Good job on the 5 mile walk. I need to do that myself. Im doing Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. Just finished day 24. 6 more to go.

Dance-hope your knee if ok after your fall. We all need a little lazy time sometimes and you are ready to get right back to the grind with your walk and run.

Vicky-potty training, I have gone thru that with parents through my years of keeping little ones. Glad she is getting the hang of it so quick. How is your knee feeling? Glad Jeff is able to help you out with the ARP.

    Sandy-where are you????? Miss you!!!!

Got day 24 done early today. We are having some friends over later this evening for a bonfire. Need to get my house straightened up.

I went out last night to move some steps we have over by the trampoline cos we are using a chair right now. I went to lift it up on its side and there was a big yellow jacket nest under there and I pissed them off. My sil and her kids and Chris were back there with me but not close. Joel(11 yr old nephew) is allergic so when they started coming out I just yelled for them to get away. I wasnt as lucky and got stung 4 times. Came in and stripped down and there was another one in my pant leg but killed it before it got me. Luckily I am not allergic so put some afterbite on them and was ok. Just hurt like ****.

Gonna do some crunches in my ab lounger later. I need to use my kettlebell more often. May when 30ds is done.

    Have a great day ladies.
  • Hello ladies!
Well, my body is feeling it today. I decided to do a 'core express' class at the gym, and it kind of killed me. Who invented side planks? lol
I did that, and a yoga class, and some treadmill and bicep machine yesterday. Down to 168 today. Boo-yah! I am finally showing this body who's boss. My lowest in years (and I mean YEARS! I'm remembering being around 190 when I was 15, and 191 was where I started my current journey) was 167.5, so I'm almost there. And I'm around 12 pounds from being in the normal weight range. I am so excited. It's been a long time coming, my friends.

Burgundy - I don't know much about the Shred, though I've seen it mentioned on 3FC a lot. How has it been?

Dancer - Sorry you're not feeling well! I hope you'll get better soon!

Maddies - hang in there! I hope you, too, will feel better. Kudos to you for planning a 5K! I am not even thinking about something like that yet. lol
  • Morning, girls! I'm taking a little exercise break as I fight off this cold but may try for a slow jog tomorrow.

fresno - woooohoooo for 168!!! It's exciting to be this close to normal BMI, isn't it? My original goal on 3fc was 165 as I couldn't really imagine being successful at getting lower than that. Now it at least seems possible, even if I am in the slooooowww lane recently.

maddiesmom - hope you're hanging in there

burgundy - ouch on the yellow jackets - those guys hurt so much - poor your!

Hope you all are having a good one....
