I was hoping to do levels one and two of the 30 Day Shred today, but couldn't make myself go on after the first one. That's what I don't like about that DVD. If I could set it up to start automatically, I could do it. Also, I'm coming down with something--sore throat, cough and headache at night and in the morning (when I work out), so it made for a bad night's sleep and heavy chest this morning.

MsP: running for 75 minutes is awesome! I can't imagine. Or rather I can, and it makes me want to lie down and rest...

Meow Mix: I envy the time and devotion you put into exercise. Do you do it all at once or some in the morning, some later?

Ms Perception: Good to have you back! And I'm sure you're right, it will pick up.

LouisaH: Normally I get it all done in the mornings, that way I don't have to think about it the rest of the day. Sometimes if I over sleep or something I'll do it later in the day or if I'm feeling energetic and want to get in some extra elliptical time I'll pop on and get some in. That's where being a stay at home mommy comes in handy! Put her down for a nap and get in an extra 20.

Louisa-It is super quiet on here right now. Weird! I know for me, my 3 kids just started soccer and time is defintely shorter, but I'm trying to make it a priority to be accountable on here since it keeps me on track.

I was overzealous with my goal of 1,800 - It is halfway through the month and I am at a little under 800 minutes. But I am seeing progress. I have been able to up my miles from 2.5 per session to 3.5. And I'm running relatively fast for being new to running (again). I can run a mile in 10-11 minutes.

I still have trouble to motivate myself to run. I tell myself that I am too old to do this (I am 40), but my legs have been telling me that it's ok. Knock on wood, I have had no pains or injuries so far.

Thanks, everybody for posting. You all keep me going.

Here's my stats for the month:

Goal: 1,800 minutes. Starting weight is 149. Current weight is 142 (as of 4/16)

I've got this cough that comes on at night and keeps me up half the night. Nyquil works for the first few hours, then I'm up coughing away. My head and lungs are killing me, so I did short but intense 20 workout today. Ugh, I'm ready to feel healthy again!

Im in on this one. I know I said that last month and didn't keep up with my posting. Im definately fired up for this one. I have 3 pounds to go for goal. I will be darned if Im going to get lazy now. LouisaH If you're sick take it easy, I've always found that when I try to push myself when I'm sick I just get worse. Give yourself time to get better.

This challenge is hard. I noticed that this week I have slacked on the running and doing more walking. But the running is my fitness exercise. I need to keep doing it. Tonight I have free time so I hope to do running and some strength training. My bowflex is giving me the evil eye. :)

I think I'm taking today as a rest day. I woke up a bit late, and I've been playing lots of hacky sack (no I'm not a hippie--no patchoulie or bong hits, lol) and my barbie doll legs are feeling a little sore--which feels good! I know I'm burning some calories playing hacky sack (or at least getting some exercise bending down to pick it up), and I hope to be doing a lot of that today, plus being on my feet moving all day, so it's all good. Keep cranking it on this last week, chicklets!

It's obvious that I'm not going to make my goal -- and I was finding that de-motivating. But I set new goals for the rest of the month, so that should set me up well for May. I'm not going to change anything here, except there shouldn't be any more days with less than 40 minutes of activity!

Im in on this one. I know I said that last month and didn't keep up with my posting. Im definately fired up for this one. I have 3 pounds to go for goal. I will be darned if Im going to get lazy now. Here is to accountability, to a new month a fresh clean start. My goals this challenge is to exercise 5 times a week 3 cardio at least 2 yoga classes a week. No lazy arse this month. starting at 153
