Also, I'm coming down with something--sore throat, cough and headache at night and in the morning (when I work out), so it made for a bad night's sleep and heavy chest this morning. MsP: running for 75 minutes is awesome! I can't imagine. Or rather I can, and it makes me want to lie down and rest... Meow Mix: I envy the time and devotion you put into exercise. Do you do it all at once or some in the morning, some later? |

LouisaH: Normally I get it all done in the mornings, that way I don't have to think about it the rest of the day. Sometimes if I over sleep or something I'll do it later in the day or if I'm feeling energetic and want to get in some extra elliptical time I'll pop on and get some in. That's where being a stay at home mommy comes in handy! Louisa-It is super quiet on here right now. Weird! I know for me, my 3 kids just started soccer and time is defintely shorter, but I'm trying to make it a priority to be accountable on here since it keeps me on track.

I was overzealous with my goal of 1,800 - It is halfway through the month and I am at a little under 800 minutes. But I am seeing progress. I have been able to up my miles from 2.5 per session to 3.5. And I'm running relatively fast for being new to running (again). I can run a mile in 10-11 minutes.
I still have trouble to motivate myself to run. I tell myself that I am too old to do this (I am 40), but my legs have been telling me that it's ok. Knock on wood, I have had no pains or injuries so far. Thanks, everybody for posting. You all keep me going. Here's my stats for the month: Goal: 1,800 minutes. Starting weight is 149. Hey MeowMix, looks like you've been doing enough exercise for everyone! I've been sick, but don't want to get out of the practice (since it takes weeks to make it a habit and about 20 minutes to break that habit).

LouisaH If you're sick take it easy, I've always found that when I try to push myself when I'm sick I just get worse. This challenge is hard. I noticed that this week I have slacked on the running and doing more walking. But the running is my fitness exercise. I need to keep doing it. Tonight I have free time so I hope to do running and some strength training. My bowflex is giving me the evil eye. :)

Feeling good! I'm adjusting my workout schedule to prepare for marathon training next month so I've missed a swim and bike ride here and there, but by the end of the month I should have it all ironed out. I love how it's all going for me!

It's obvious that I'm not going to make my goal -- and I was finding that de-motivating. But I set new goals for the rest of the month, so that should set me up well for May. I'm not going to change anything here, except there shouldn't be any more days with less than 40 minutes of activity!

Im in on this one. I know I said that last month and didn't keep up with my posting. Im definately fired up for this one. I have 3 pounds to go for goal. I will be darned if Im going to get lazy now. Here is to accountability, to a new month a fresh clean start. My goals this challenge is to exercise 5 times a week 3 cardio at least 2 yoga classes a week. No lazy arse this month. starting at 153
