hey ladies, another busy one around here, getting school finished up and ready for mexico in 5 days (OMG!)

Aluxa - you could always try a different exercise, if you are hating it a break to something different can be just the ticket.

MsP - yes, it's my IT band again, the whole hip is just crazy right now. Three weeks no running :( so it will be all about the weights right now. I think I'll have to reassess my marathon once the 3 weeks is done. I won't be able to run the June 20th one as planned but there is an August one if I so desire. Have fun with the birthday prep!

Tummy and MsP you are right. Today I changed the program that I used on the treadmill and I think that the previous program was not challenging anymore and that made me feel bored. In addition, I started some resistance training and I can say that today I feel happy :) Thank you so much for you support! I will start to incorporate different activities in addition to the treadmill.
Tummy: I'm sure you will enjoy your trip. Mexico has many interesting places. I only known Yucatan, but Chichen Itza was an amazing experience.

Well I'm definately going to make this March goal! I did my HM weigh-in today and was 209.4! Yeah...no more 210's EVER!

Maybe I'll even do better than 209 for March 31. Sweet!

Aluxa: don't fret about the treadmill yet. It isn't over 'til it's over. Relationships go through ups and downs. Sometimes we just need some time to ourselves to think about things. Maybe your time apart will help you see how much you really love your treadmill. I've been estranged from my treadmill for quite some time, but I haven't kicked it out yet. It's just your body telling you it wants a new challenge! Get some Jackie Warner dvds or Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred for a real kick in the pants. That might put your treadmill in a whole new light! lol.

WannaBeNurse: Keep trying. Every day you don't smoke is better than every day you do. And like people say about losing weight: a year from now you'll be so glad you started today. One of those times with be the right time, and you won't want to smoke again. You'll thank the stars above that you did it, and you won't look back. Then you can become one of those insufferable former smokers. lol. I try not to be that, but I really hate being around smokers anymore.

Tamara: are you smoking or not smoking now? I once quit for 3 years and started back up--how stupid is that? The pain was so great I wanted to do it again, I guess...

MsP: I'll be thinking of you tomorrow--eat some cake for me! Good luck with everything, and way to be on top of it.

Dixiemae: you're so close to goal! WTG.

TG: so sorry about your ailments keeping you from running. That is so frustrating! I always wonder why my body is sabotaging my progress--why do we keep ourselves from fully realizing our potential? It's crazy, but I believe it's all in our mind/body connection. So even if your body needs to rest to mend, you can work on getting the mind on the right track. And look, you have a lovely little trip to Mexico to use as practice!

I'm up today to 190.4. I hit 190 TEN days ago, and have seen as low as 188.6 between then and now, so I am a little less than happy with my scale today. A friend brought six boxes of Girl Scout cookies over last night. I haven't eaten any (yet), but still have to say, thanks. b!tch...:eek:

LouisaH I am NOT smoking now. I decided to quit smoking and then change my eating habits once I was over the hump. When I weighed myself on New Year's day for my first journal entry of 2010 and saw I was tipping the scale at 230 I decided that was it. This will be the year I change my life...even if it takes me all year...heck even if it takes 2011 as well! I WILL be healthy before I turn 40 in 2013! I was somewhat careful when I was quitting smoking to track my food (good or bad) so that I didn't gain while I was quitting and once I felt ok with the not smoking I joined Herbal Magic and here we are.

LuisaH: yes you are right. I have some DVDs that I have not touched in years but every Friday I say to myself: I going to star to use them again next Monday but I never do it. So this time I decided that I will check them today to see which ones I want to use ad prepare everything to really start using them. Then I will look for new ones.

Tamaraj: It is a great achievement to stop smoking, so :congrat:

Saturday is weigh in day for me - down 2.6 lbs this week, leaving me at an even 239 lb. I only have 1 lb left to get to my March WL goal of 238 lbs. Even if I don't make it, I'm thrilled to make it this close, with everything I've had to deal with this month. I have 5 full days left this month, so it's definitely possible that I'll hit 238 by Thursday morning.

March Starting Weight: 245.4 lbs
March Challenge Goal Weight: 238 lbs
Current Weight:239 lbs
Total March weight loss: 6.4 lbs
Left to go: 1 lbs

I was without the internet all day yesterday (still don't know why!), and I really realized how much I rely on it in in the weight control department. My food journal and calorie trackers are on line, and not being able to access them was tough. I just ate what I usually ate in the amounts I usually eat, and I was fine, but I had to be even more careful than usual.

I'm down 12 lbs! Hope to lose 3 more before March is over ; ) I seem to be averaging 1lb/day, so I think it should be possible. Good luck and be good for the next few days! It will be so worth it in the long run!

eclipse:I totally get how being offline for a day can be a challenge. I also depend on the net for a bunch of things I do daily such as track food and so on. Thank goodness for Blackberry! LOL

Hello everyone, sorry I've been MIA lately.. i just kept gaining weight, and was doing everything the same.. so yesterday I just had a free day.. well I thought TOM was coming which was what was causing my weight gain.. but he never came.. but i just found out im pregnant!!!!!!! so I'm so glad it was the baby cauing me to gain weight!! :preg:

Hi ladies, sounds like you are all doing so well. Good for you!
I am almost at goal but after a very bad weekend, I am almost afraid to weigh myself.
I don't think I will until Wednesday the 31st and then i shall see how much damage was done... (why do I always put myself through this)
