Participate any way you like with whatever goals you may have. My Goals/Plan: Sport shorts & tanks with no shame by losing 12lbs and toning up. Work out 5x per week, including running and workout videos Eat healthier with NO FAST FOOD!!!! Weigh in each Sunday Take bi-weekly measurements I haven't weighted in since before the holidays so I'll be updating my ticker Sunday morning with my correct (and most likely higher) current weight. Good luck ladies! |
Im in for this one!
We have 12 weeks until April 1st and my goal is to be <210!! I plan on doing this by working out atleast 5 times a week and drinking lots and lots of water! My workout specifics will have a balance between cardio, weights, and abs. I hope to complete the C25K! I'll weigh in each week until 4/1! Please feel free to message me and yell at me if I dont! haha 1/07~245 1/14~242 ...TOM My weight has been fluctuating alot this week. 1/21 1/28 2/04 2/11 2/18 2/25 3/04 3/11 3/18 3/25 4/01 |
I would love to join...
I plan on working out at least 6 days a week but honestly I shoot for at least an hour of cardio everyday I also want to be into onderland by then :) I'm starting at 229... 29 pounds in 12 seems doable... I think :) Also to weigh in every sunday and actually post it |
I'm in on this one too!!
I plan on working out 6 times a week with wii active and tae-bo, drinking water and eating healthier, some ab work and just being more active. Oh and smiling while i'm doing it!!! My starting weight --245...any weight loss would be good for me. Haley: what is onderland? |
Welcome Veronica, Haley and Kristea! Your plans and goals all sound great!
Veronica ~ How far are you in C25K? I got to the end of week 5 before leaving for a vacation back in November then fell completely off the wagon. I'm hoping to get back to it soon - I just have to coordinate my run time with when my DH is home to watch our LO. Haley - Onderland is SOOO yours! Kristea - How do you like wii Active? I've been considering buying it but haven't yet. I have Wii Fit but I really couldn't tell much from it. Maybe the Fit Plus that recently came out would be better? |
Thanks Amy! I havnt started C25K yet. Im going to start Monday. Ive started jogging/running on my own the last month or so and got up to 15 mins once and then 20 mins the next day but for some reason cant make it hardly past 5 mins the last few times Ive tried. I figured this would be a better way to ease into it. The program actually scares me...I hope I can do it!
Haley you can totally get to onderland girl! =) Kristea, taebo is really fun! I did it once or so when I was in highschool. Im not a very good kicker though! lol Onederland is being in the 100's which I think is what everyone in the 200's dreams of! hehe |
Amy--I love the wii active! I don't have wii fit so i can't compare it. But i really like it. You can do it by your self are with a partner. But you don't have to buy another leg strap me an my daughter us a ace bandage works great. You can design your own work out. Have you seen the new one called 'Shape'?
That one looks pretty neat you don't have to hold any controls so you can use your own weights etc. Veronica--Oh i'm not a good kicker either. Believe me it is comical but I like it and I can so feel it. Oh yeah I would love to go to onderland!! Your right that is all our dreams. Haley--now that I know what onderland is..You are sooo there..you got this..can you see the finish line? |
Hi ladies! I'm restarting Weight Watchers after a nearly 2-year absence (yes I put my 15 lbs loss back on :( ). I remember these forums being way better than the official WW ones, so it's good to be back! I've been looking for a good short-term challenge, and it looks like this one will fit the bill...I'd like to lose 20 lbs by April 1st.
The changes I'm making this time around include starting my exercise program right off (rather than waiting until a month or two in) and staying away from those frozen meals -- I'm focusing on nutrition above all else with my food! I'll put up more about me later, but for now: I'm married, one 16-yr-old son, and two stepsons in their twenties, my DH is very supportive, and I'm going to be 50 this year! Ack! I hope it's not too late to join! 1/07~187 1/14 1/21 1/28 2/04 2/11 2/18 2/25 3/04 3/11 3/18 3/25 4/01 |
I'd love to join in. I've fallen off the wagon again and need to get my behind in gear. I'm doing Weight Watchers it seems to work for me. I'll work out at least 5 days a week and eat right. I want to lose 20lbs by April 1st.
1/07~292 1/14 1/21 1/28 2/04 2/11 2/18 2/25 3/04 3/11 3/18 3/25 4/01 |
Welcome Lizzie and Keeperofthehome!
This weekend has not been so easy for me... we had two unexpected dinners out so my diet temporarily went out the window... but i did do tons and tons of walking yesterday as my MIL and I went shopping. I'm officially starting my running program back today soon as DH gets back home from running errands. I hope to run 2-3 days a week but unfortunately that is dependent on DH being home to watch the LO before it gets dark outside. I wish I were a morning person and could get my run in early before LO rises, but I don't see that happening. I hope everyone else has had a better OP weekend than I have! |
I'd like to join in. My birthday is in April, so I have a personal goal for that and an April 1 Challenge should help to keep me on track for that. My other goals are 1200-1500 calories a day, minimum 20 minutes of activity (on active days, I'm usually longer than that, but on the days I don't want to do anything, telling myself that it's "just 20 minutes" can help! lol!) and at least 10 glasses of water.
I do my official weigh on on Mondays, so I'll be back tomorrow to post my starting weight. April 1 Challenge http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt...ZYP/weight.png |
Hi Everyone. I do calorie counting and need to get back on Plan. I have been exercising some, but need to go to the gym more. Food Plan will restart on Monday. I would like to get to ONDERLAND by April 1st. Good Luck Everyone!
Change GW to 224 on 3/5/10. 1/07 235.6 1/14 235.2 ( -.4) 1/21 230.4 ( -5.2) 1/28 229.2 (-6.4) 2/04 231.2 (-4.4) 2/11 234.2 (-1.4) 2/18 232.0 (-3.6) 2/25 236.8 (+1.2) 3/04 234.6 (-2.2) 3/11 3/18 3/25 4/01 |
Welcome PeanutsMom and VickieLou!
I just came in from my run/walk - went 2.5miles and feel better that I've finally started back! I came to the conclusion that I need to restart C25K to rebuild my endurance - I lost all that I had built up last fall. I also just realized that I forgot to weigh myself this morning so I'll do it tomorrow! PeanutsMom - I know what you're talking about with the 20min thing - I tell myself the same thing. I have some workout videos that can really kick my butt that are only 20 minutes long... 20 min out of an entire day is not that bad! lol |
thanks Amy!
I convinced myself to do "just 20 minutes" yesterday and ended up doing 45! yay! |
Ok, my official starting weight
1/11 234.5 1/18 1/25 2/1 2/8 2/15 2/22 3/1 3/8 3/15 3/22 3/29 FINAL 4/1 http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt...Lbp/weight.png |
Well I weighed in this morning and I'm pretty sure my scale is broke. There's no way I'm really 131.6 because when I was down to that last year, I felt much skinnier and my clothes fit much better... but that's what it said so that's what I'm going with until I re-weigh in the morning. If it is by some miracle true, I need to adjust my goal... my goal of 12 lbs would put me under 120 and I'm 5'7"... I think I need to just change my goal to "weigh 125."
1/11 ~ 131.6 (for now.... hmmm) 1/18 1/25 2/1 2/8 2/15 2/22 3/1 3/8 3/15 3/22 3/29 FINAL 4/1 |
I did pretty well over the weekend and yesterday. Got my workout in but pulled a muscle so a little sore, but not going to let that stop me from working out. Today is yoga day.
|
Amy -
I'm finding the same thing about the scale and clothing sizes being different than in the past, not always for the better. But still, a loss is great, and hopefully some extra toning work will get you where you want to be in terms of the clothing. |
keeperofthehome
wow, you're doing great! hope you have a good yoga class. |
I'm revising my calorie goal to 1300-1600. I've been reading up on this a bit and I think I was a bit too low given my current weight and activity level.
|
Hi everyone! I'd love to join you. April 1 will be my 40th birthday. A fitter, lighter me would be an awesome gift to myself. I am currently kind of laid up with my back so not much exercise going on here. However my current goals are to stay on plan (low carb), drink my water and keep my bg is check.
I can't wait to get to know everyone :) |
Welcome Michelle!
So I weighed myself this morning and it said 132.6, but I did have a late dinner the night before and didn't get in my exercise so maybe the 131.6 was right??? I guess I'll keep it. Today I have to run errands then I'm going for a run/walk at the walking park down the street. I will be starting C25K again, I just need to figure out where - I don't think I need to go back to the very beginning, but maybe on week 3 or 4... |
Perfect! My dad turns 80 on April 1 and we are having a HUGE party for him. I would like to be at my, used to be, normal weight. My goal is to be at 130 by the party (which is March 27)
1/11 ````` 143.0 1/18 1/25 2/1 2/8 2/15 2/22 3/1 3/8 3/15 3/22 3/29 |
GrEyedRose - Welcome! You can soooo hit 130 by March 27th!
|
Amy from your post above my last one it sure looks like the 131 was yours! WTG!!!
Greyedrose~ looks like a totally doable goal!!! I weighed in this morning down 2.2 (190.2) odd as I got off plan Mon. Tom is due in 5 days and last Sun I had bounced up from 190 to 192.4 being 100% OP. Oh well I'm taking the 2.2 loss and claiming it! |
Great job Michelle!
I have haven't done so well this week exercise wise... I need to get back at it - it's supposed to be nice tomorrow so I need to get out for a run. I'd like to get in 2-3 runs between now and Saturday. |
Just a quick good morning b4 work! My work week starts today My silly boss booked me 30 min before my start time I don't care Kids have appointments tonight. I'll try to get back tonight to catch up.

good job Michelle and hope you get to run, Amy!
I'm not seeing any movement on the scale, but I'm sticking with my plan and have met my calorie, water and activity goals every day this week. So hopefully, I'll start to see that effort show on the scale soon. |
Congrats on your losses thinner and shrinking! Peanut hang in there... :)
Still haven't really started my exercise program yet, but I was OP all week except for my usual "meal break" (although I stay within points for the week, even including that big meal), and am happy to report a nice steady 2 pounds down! 1/07~187 1/14~185 1/21 1/28 2/04 2/11 2/18 2/25 3/04 3/11 3/18 3/25 4/01 |
Good morning!!!! Hope you all are having a terrific Saturday!!! My scale said 187.6 today. I was surprised :)
Amy hope you got your running in :) Peanutsmon~ your dedication will pay off. I love how you can lose inches when the scale is stuck. Lizzie big congrats on the 2 lbs!!! |
Michelle and Lizzie - great jobs with the losses!!
I'm still not seeing movement, but tomorrow is my official weigh in day so fingers crossed. I've stayed on plan every day since last Sunday (calories, exercise and water goals all met) so I know at some point, the scale will show it! |
I'd love to join!
~ I want to wear sleeveless shirts and shorts this summer. I don't know how long it's been since I've worn them! ~ I will continue to eat healthy. It's a lifestyle for me. ~ I want to wear a swimsuit this summer, instead of a fat suit. ~ I will finish this challenge and walk away feeling good about myself. 1/07~216 1/14~214 1/21 1/28 2/04 2/11 2/18 2/25 3/04 3/11 3/18 3/25 4/01 |
I'm a newbie, but I'll join! I have no idea how many pounds I can realistically lose by April, but I hope to be at least somewhat lighter, healthier, and therefore happier by April 1st.
If my wishes were granted, I'd be at 160 or less by then, but that may not be realistic for my body so I am not counting on it at all and will try not to be too disappointed if I don't achieve it. I'll just keep plugging along and even if it takes me a year to get healthier, I'll still get there eventually. |
updated to show this week's weigh in

Many thanks, Narn :) |
Hey everyone. Hope its still okay to join in the challenge. My April goal is to be in the 1__'s. I want to do this by working out 4-5 days a week and being OP. Also drinking more water (which I am not very good at).
Good luck everyone! My weigh in day is on Sunday, so I'll post my past couple of weights from this year. 1/3~239.6 1/10~236.4 1/17~231.2 |
Good morning everyone!!! Nice to have you join, Nikki, Narn, Lori and Kai!
Awesome Peanutsmom!!!!!!!!!!!! Amy where you hiding? Hope all is well with everyone! I really don't have any progress to report as I don't plan on weighing until Sunday if I can hold out. I'm just working my plan. So how is everyone doing? Just out of curiosity what type of eating plan are you all on? I'm on a lower carb plan. |
I totally forgot about this... I post places and forget ...ugh anyways I was down from 229 to 226 last week... so 3 pounds down towards my goal of onderland!
|
...Im pretty sure Ive hit a plataeu. My weight is staying as close to 240 as it can. Or Ive just gotten lazy but my cals have been good and my exercise has been okay. Im really going to push myself this week!

Welcome Slimming, HealthierLori, narn81, and Nikki! I think you can join in anytime! The more the merrier, I say! :D Congrats Thinner, Peanutsmom, HaleyisLove, and VernDern on your losses -- way to go! We can do this! BTW where is our thread founder Shrinking Amy?:?: Thinner - I'm doing Weight Watchers with my own mods (I have to cook it - no frozen meals! And I give myself a little time off each week -- within reason of course). So far so good! Two more pounds down this week!:broc: Originally Posted by LizzieW: |
