  • Is it too late to join?
    My grandmother's birthday was May 1, and I know she was always worried about my weight - so this seems like a good challenge to join. I am trying to lose 2 lbs per week, but since I just started, I don't know if my body will support this lose yet. I may need to adjust later, so I don't fall way behind and get too discouraged.

    Starting weight 202.5 (TOM is late, so this weight is out-of-whack)

  • Welcome to all the newbies! Im sure you all can tell that we are a laid back group of ladies who are here to support each other no matter if we gain or lose.

    big momma- Im so sorry to hear that you have been sick this whole month but Im really glad that your back and hopefully that water weight will drop off quickly. Certain meds make me gain weight and it sucks even though you know its water weight it still plays with the mind. Definitely dont give up were all taking it slow and steady.

    Im still tweaking my diet and calories trying to see what my magic number is. I stopped drinking alcohol 2 weeks ago and my last day of drinking coffee was on the 24th. Im feeling good and got a great night of sleep last night and woke up feeling refreshed. I havent been exercising consistantly but Im just exhausted from my job and dealing with my 2 young kids but once I leave my job at the end of February I will start working out again.     One of the changes I have made since Xmas is giving up coffee and I'm embarrased to say caffeine filled energy soda and I feel so much more refreshed.

    I rarely had a coffee out of my hands all day ....

    ...I still yearn for a coffeee paraticularly late at night ...

    But i do feel as though it is positive change ...

    Glad it is laid back group ... hope to get to know you all ...

    Thanks everyone for all your kind words I'm am down 4lbs from yesterday, all this water weight is finally starting to come off. Yes, I was up once every hour last night going to the bathroom!!!! But it was so worth it (even though my sleep was disrupted) to see the scale go down. I am officially back to 273, yay!!!!!!!! Maybe I can still make my Valentines goal? If not its ok, as long as I'm still working on a healthy me

    Yep, slow and steady wins the race And I should add, it's never to late to join!
  • Hi Bigmomma - I'm still not in onederland - that's my first minigoal though. PMS is being evil and toying with me - up to 203 today I know it'll go back down, but probably not in time to make onederland by my birthday (Feb 7). I'll just keep plugging away though.

    Hope you're feeling better, although I know what you mean about watching the scale go down - almost makes being dreadfully ill worth it!

  • I'm back down to 202.5 this morning and down to 202 an hour ago - probably scale error, or maybe I sweated out 1/2 a pound on the elliptical? I so hope to stay on track for May 1 - 175 would mean that I'd fit into the last swimsuit that I actually thought looked cute on me! I last wore it 8 years ago, and I still have it.

  • WooooHooooo I'm officially down to 270 today Yay me!!!!!!! Maybe, just maybe I can get into the 60's before the month is over? Keeping my fingers crossed and sticking to plan and feeling lots better

    I got yelled at by my WiiFit board for gaining .7 lbs Where is TOM? I'm sick of being bloated, and PCOS stinks! I'm done whining now. I made a great southwest chicken stew in the crockpot today, and it was healthy and easy to fit into the plan. I'll be marking it to make it again as a winter staple.
  • I did great this week and the scale is finally moving in the right direction. I stayed between 1300-2000 calories. one day I went up to 2100 which was fine. Ive been doing high, low and then high again. It all depends on how hungry I am. Also Im buying a body bugg on Sunday it wont be here til a week after, hopefully it will help me figure out how many cals I burn I get so tired of guessing how much my body burns.     Bigmomma thats awesome the weight and water is coming off. You have done so awesome with your weight loss and Im sure you will continue to lose.

    We are all losing at a good pace. I an pretty hopeful that I will get down to 200 by May but if not I am pretty sure I will be close to 200 which is fine with me

    I am up 2 lbs this morning. I think it's water weight and I'll work hard on getting rid of it today. Any suggestions on how I do that? Im not changing my ticker yet to reflect the gain until I see that it's not water weight
