I count calories, I eat between 12-1400 per day and I walk 3miles about five times per week for now. I change up my workout routine often

I was in a couple of other challenges but I honestly have to say that I am so glad to be in this challenge with you ladies. I don't feel bad when Im posting that I gained a little vs other challenges. I feel that with this challenge I can lose slowly and not beat myself up. Im so happy that our group is smaller then the others I feel like we have the right batch of people in this challenge. Keep up the great work ladies. Im down 2 lbs in 2 months lol but I am slowly tweaking and changing things in my diet and its gonna be a long slow journey for me but I think this time is gonna be the charm and with my calories being higher I feel that I am not starving or over eating I feel like Im doing just fine and I can eat at this calorie range for the rest of my life. If I lose 25 lbs this year I will be so happy. You ladies are awesome!

So sorry to be MIA but I have been sick the entire month of Jan.! The docs are running a ton of tests. Anyway, I have been OP and I started swelling up, put on 8lbs. of water weight, feet were so big couldn't even wear my berks!!! I'm finally starting to feel a little better and have lost some of that water, my feet are going down, but my hands, knees and body is still swollen, ugh!!!!

I was really frustrated by it all, I'm behind in my goal and feeling crappy, got a rash on my entire body thats itching and driving me insane. Well anyway, while at the Dr.s office, I run into my kids Doc that we have had for many years but haven't seen for at least 2 yrs :) and he gives me pearls of wisdom. First he said how great I looked (might I add I looked like crap, red, itchy, swollen, hair not combed etc!) Then he said " you didn't gain weight, you are swollen with water, it will go away when your illness goes away!" Whew!!!! Here I was beating myself up, never putting into account the swelling was caused by fluid, duh! He made me feel sooooo much better, I mean, I was almost ready to throw in the towel! Now I'm so glad that I had stayed on plan, even while sick. I know I'm not behind, I was sick and my body needed a time out, to rest.

I'm soooo glad to see everyone hanging in there and working on being the best you you can be, regardless of how much weight we lose or gain :)

hi bigmomma so sorry to hear that u have been so sick but just hang in there and stay on plan.........but try to avoid too salty or sodium laden foods just eat fresh and healthy n in no time ull be fine...................get well soon sweety...........and after all that water is gone surprise us by a loss

I am in the same boat. Im going to have to re-evaluate several things including my calorie intake. I think I need to up my calories to around 1600 everyday.

My grandmother's birthday was May 1, and I know she was always worried about my weight - so this seems like a good challenge to join. I am trying to lose 2 lbs per week, but since I just started, I don't know if my body will support this lose yet. I may need to adjust later, so I don't fall way behind and get too discouraged.

Welcome to all the newbies! Im sure you all can tell that we are a laid back group of ladies who are here to support each other no matter if we gain or lose.

big momma- Im so sorry to hear that you have been sick this whole month but Im really glad that your back and hopefully that water weight will drop off quickly. Certain meds make me gain weight and it sucks even though you know its water weight it still plays with the mind. Definitely dont give up were all taking it slow and steady.

Im still tweaking my diet and calories trying to see what my magic number is. I stopped drinking alcohol 2 weeks ago and my last day of drinking coffee was on the 24th. Im feeling good and got a great night of sleep last night and woke up feeling refreshed. I havent been exercising consistantly but Im just exhausted from my job and dealing with my 2 young kids but once I leave my job at the end of February I will start working out again. Good luck ladies

One of the changes I have made since Xmas is giving up coffee and I'm embarrased to say caffeine filled energy soda and I feel so much more refreshed.

I rarely had a coffee out of my hands all day ....

...I still yearn for a coffeee paraticularly late at night ...

But i do feel as though it is positive change ...

Glad it is laid back group ... hope to get to know you all ...

Thanks everyone for all your kind words :) I'm am down 4lbs from yesterday, all this water weight is finally starting to come off. Yes, I was up once every hour last night going to the bathroom!!!! But it was so worth it (even though my sleep was disrupted) to see the scale go down. I am officially back to 273, yay!!!!!!!! Maybe I can still make my Valentines goal? If not its ok, as long as I'm still working on a healthy me ;)

Yep, slow and steady wins the race :) And I should add, it's never to late to join!

Hi Bigmomma - I'm still not in onederland - that's my first minigoal though. PMS is being evil and toying with me - up to 203 today :mad: I know it'll go back down, but probably not in time to make onederland by my birthday (Feb 7). I'll just keep plugging away though.

Hope you're feeling better, although I know what you mean about watching the scale go down - almost makes being dreadfully ill worth it!

I'm back down to 202.5 this morning and down to 202 an hour ago - probably scale error, or maybe I sweated out 1/2 a pound on the elliptical? I so hope to stay on track for May 1 - 175 would mean that I'd fit into the last swimsuit that I actually thought looked cute on me! I last wore it 8 years ago, and I still have it.

Yay Bigmomma (I feel funny saying that) - keep losing! You're doing great, and I love your countdown graphics! 72 lbs down is so inspiring :)

I got yelled at by my WiiFit board for gaining .7 lbs :o Where is TOM? I'm sick of being bloated, and PCOS stinks! I'm done whining now. I made a great southwest chicken stew in the crockpot today, and it was healthy and easy to fit into the plan. I'll be marking it to make it again as a winter staple.

I did great this week and the scale is finally moving in the right direction. I stayed between 1300-2000 calories. one day I went up to 2100 which was fine. Ive been doing high, low and then high again. It all depends on how hungry I am. Also Im buying a body bugg on Sunday it wont be here til a week after, hopefully it will help me figure out how many cals I burn I get so tired of guessing how much my body burns. Bigmomma thats awesome the weight and water is coming off. You have done so awesome with your weight loss and Im sure you will continue to lose.

We are all losing at a good pace. I an pretty hopeful that I will get down to 200 by May but if not I am pretty sure I will be close to 200 which is fine with me :)

I am up 2 lbs this morning. I think it's water weight and I'll work hard on getting rid of it today. Any suggestions on how I do that? Im not changing my ticker yet to reflect the gain until I see that it's not water weight :)

Idon't think I've posted in a week or two -- I'm at 162.2. Slow and steady loss. I'd like to step it up for next week, though, and report that I'm at 161...I'm going to need to step it up if I'm going to meet my goal!

As of the 31st I am down 75lbs. Wooooo hooooooo!!!!!!!!
Seems weird to think that soon I will have less than 100lbs to lose, kinda surreal!!! And I know this sounds really stupid, but none of my shirts fit.........ugh, a little frustrating in a good kinda way :).
Seems I lose most of my weight from the head down so while my bottom half is down from a 30/32 or 5x to a 24 or 2x. my upper half was the same 28-30 or 4 or 5x and now it is an XL, YES MARGE YOU DO HAVE A WAIST!!! :).
Oh, and did I mention that my underwear keep sliding down, ugh, whats a girl to do........guess I could pin em to my bra.......now there's a visual for ya!

Hope this gives ya a little chuckle a lifts your day a bit :)
Like I said, slow and steady, yea baby!!!!!!!
