saramommy-The water is to help your body work properly. Since every organ in your body passes things in and out through fluid, it allows those organs to work properly/more efficiently. Along that same line, you need it to stay regular so your waste (solid and liquid) can pass through your digestive system and be expelled properly. Also, dehydration/not enough water makes your body think you have lack of water supply, so it'll hold on to what you have and you'll have water retention. It's the perfect fluid for the body for those and other reasons. Hope that sheds some light (and wasn't too gross...I come from a medical family ;))!

Last time I weighed myself was Monday, so I decided to get on the scale this morning.

With that, I've lost 20.5 lbs! :D I'm planning on 'killing it' since it's my gym day today! (once a week instead of walking/video I head over to my school's gym) Hope everybody finds the progress they want today! :)

For those asking, whoever reaches their 5# loss mini-goal first (from their start weight for this challenge) wins! No time constraints, just the first to reach 5# loss from the beginning of this challenge. We re-post a new start weight each time we join a new 5# challenge, so there's usually a different winner every time which is fun. Hope you enjoy!
