staccie - glad you survived the big simulation and good for you for planning a spin class before leaving for vacation! check in lots!
I'm not doing great eating-wise - it may be a hormonal/TOM thing, bummer. I'm going to try to pull it together again today or I won't have a chance at making goal this weekend. How's everyone else doing? |
I am not having a great day today either. I woke up craving a big bowl of Captain Crunch, then on the way in wanted biscuits and gravy, so I had that too! And a large Pepsi..grrrrr. I have to buckly down the rest of the day because I have already consumed 1800 calories on breakfast alone, this is ridiculous. In addition, I skipped the gym yesterday, then skipped the gym and running today...I am completely falling off the wagon! AND, tomorrow I have a dentist appointment at 7 am, so I wont be able to do anything tomorrow. Im going to do 30DS today to try and redeem myself. **shakes head**, this is bad...bad....bad.
|
Ok, Lindy - you and I are turning this ship around as of NOW! A little break here and there is okay but we can't let this snowball, right? I'm headed back to the courthouse and haven't worked out today for no good reason so I'm going to make up for it by walking up and down the stairs during our breaks. Can you do something similar at your office? Maybe 3 10-minute stair climbing sessions? I'm also planning on rowing in front of the tv tonight. And having super healthy homemade soup for dinner tonight with strawberries for dessert.
I'm wearing a suit today that when I bought it six weeks or so ago just barely barely fit (10 jacket, 12 pants) and it's perfect now. There's nothing like a well-fitting black suit to make you feel like you are super woman :) I so don't want to go back to not fitting in this suit so I am getting back in gear right now. I'm bringing healthy snacks with me and am going to research the lunch options near the courthouse as I don't know the area well. Ok, girls, this is the final countdown to 11/1 - keep it skinny! |
Your right Dance, time to rope it back in. I got a compliment from the girl in the restaurant and was like...OMG, you are getting skinnier and skinnier everytime I see you. It was nice to hear at the time but I just feel like pure crapola for what I ate. This is disgusting, I feel disgusting. Kudos on your suit, I love when something fits just right. THats probably the most gratifying feeling is seeing clothes that were once too tight, fit loose and clothes that you could have never imagined fitting in, fitting perfect. Sounds like you have a game plan in place. My plan for the day...take the stairs at lunch and when leaving for the day, that would be 3 times up 3 flights, not great but not bad. I am also going to go for a walk, Im feeling kinda blah so I dont think Ill be shooting for a run, but I can definately swing a walk. Thanks for the pep talk, my mood isnt going to change but Ill watch everything that goes in my mouth the rest of the day.
Hows everyone else doing? |
I am sorry that you guys are having a rough day!! It was like my weekend. We all are really breaking down!!! STOP! This might be the end of one challenge but it is the start of a new one. AND if we are struggling this bad now what about the upcoming holidays!! We need to be strong as a pack. Thats what my husband calls us! The pack =)
I am having a good day. Yesterday wasn't as good as I planned but hey its in the past and its over. I need to focus on getting enough cals in so I am going to really start keeping track of my food! Staccie- I HOPE YOU ARE SAFE and your luggage is with you =) Lindy- You run those steps girl. A walk is better than nothing. Maybe is you print your least favorite fat pic and hang it on the mirror it will re invigorate you! Dance- Its been a long time since I comfortably wore a suit. I want your super healthy homemade soup recipe please! =) Is it nicer there today? Oh and... that court house, in the basement, there is a little restaurant that has THE BEST breakfast burritos. I can't resist. Its awful. I was on a long case last year. There is a quiznos though. Rayne- Where are you today?? Neesy- I hope you are doing well. Not completely over working! Mygrits- Miss you and I hope work is going well. Maddies mom- Miss you too and I hope you are okay. Mom- Where did you go? How are you? Also- to hold myself more accountable! I am posting my daily plate in my signature so that people can literally hold me accountable. =) |
aj - you are one photogenic girl - love this avatar too! You look so different in all of your pix - that's quite a skill. Too funny that you know the courthouse restaurants - I'm sorry we didn't meet when you were still here. If you come back for a visit, maybe we could grab coffee? Soup is crazy easy - chicken broth and v-8 for the base (adding sauteed onion and garlic if you want), frozen mixed veggies (corn, carrots, peas and green beans) and shredded chicken breast. Add a few bay leaves, simmer for a while, add salt and fresh ground pepper to taste. I usually add some cayenne to keep it from getting too boring. I like your turkey day goal - mine is 156 but not sure I can make it without getting a serious burst of energy. Let's egg each other on!
Lindy - sorry about the blahs but glad you have the eating under control. And those compliments will just keep flowing in as you are looking great! I've been pretty good today - tlc bar for breakfast, apple and subway for lunch and am going to have yogurt for a snack. Managed to get dismissed from jury duty at the last second before they decided on the 13 jurors - phew! It's supposed to snow lots tonight so trying to get to court in the snow tomorrow would be no fun. Will check in with you guys later... |
I will definitely push you!
I am going to cook for a while. But I thought I would share this wonderful pic of myself in the honor of halloween!! http://www.nighthunger.com/monsteriz...age/view/10597 |
AJ-we will hold you accountable, you can make it to 150 by turkey day.
Dance-yea anyone that shows up is fine with me too on 11/1. Glad you dont have jury duty since you are so busy with work. Sounds like you have a plan to get back on track, we dont want you falling off so close to goal. So exciting when clothes fit perfect. I have been trying on a lot of things that havent fit in the past few months and they are fitting better and better now. Staccie-make sure to check in while on vacation when you can. Have a great time. Lindy-did you do 30ds today or the stairs?? A splurge day is ok here and there, but glad you know you have to get back on the wagon fully. 35 lbs to 130! I finally got groceries today so I can get back to eating healthier after being sick. Still coughing but a cough always hangs around for a while. Will have my niece and nephews here tomorrow. Maybe I can find some fun activity to do with them. They are homeschooled so there is always something to do. Gonna watch Biggest Loser tonight and then get a workout in afterwards. A little later than I wanted to workout but still gonna get one in. Not sure what I want to do yet. I have so many dvds, just need to pick one. Ok, maddiesmom, your last activity was today at 7:36pm, let us know how you are doing. |
burgundy - curious to hear what you like about The Biggest Loser - I've only seen it once and the exercise plan and weight lost didn't seem realistic or really sustainable to me but maybe I was in a narrow-minded mood that day. Does it get you inspired? And you are quite the sneaky detective checking up on maddiesmom like that!
Maddiesmom - busted (in a friendly way)! please come back and update us when you have time! We miss you! aj - your monster photo was a total hoot - love the night hunger monster! LOL hey - a small postive thing - not one piece of halloween candy so far for me this year. How about you guys? I'm not buying any to give to trick or treaters until the very last minute. I'm off to take a bath and curl up with a mystery novel - hope you all are having a good evening... |
We won't see trick or treaters so I am not buying any. My husband always keeps twix on hand so I have had a mini twix this season but its not as hard as years past. We live in a college area so unless its 20 year old frat boys... I doubt anyone will knock on our door =)
What is every one doing for halloween?? |
Hey girls--
So my day didnt go exactly as planned yesterday. I did not get my walk or 30DS in but thats ok. I feel like Im back in the zone. I printed out some fat photos of me and have one in my wallet, one on my fridge, one in my car and one at my desk---Haha, can you tell Im obsessive. It was the fat pic that made me want to lose weight, so its the fat pic that is going to keep me focused. I need to also get back into my gym routine of 5 days a week because I realized I feel so much more worst and sleepy if I dont. There is no such thing as taking it easy, I need to go hard or nothing at all. I signed up for a 5k on Saturday for a breast cancer walk, so Im excited about that. I woke up with a good outlook on things and am feeling pretty darn positive....thanks to you girls. This is exactly why we need each other, I honestly believe if I wasnt part of this forum, I would have just thrown in the towel, but nope...not this time. Im not stopping or gaining at 170 and 35 pounds is not far away at all. Dance- great choices for the day considering you were out and about. Gosh snow, really...its going to be 89 on Halloween...I mean, Im not wishing for snow but man oh man, I would sure love to have some cooler weather for the fall. AJ- your doing great girl. And I couldnt agree more with Dance, you sure are photo genic, you always look like a different girl, but in a good way, lol. Your husband is so lucky, haha. Burgundy - awesome job on keeping Maddiesmom accountable! It helps so much when people do it to me, so I know shes appreciating it. Speaking of accountable, I saw Tiff posted on FB---hmmm, I may have to send her a friendly "dont forget about us" private message. I miss her and all the other girls for that matter. For some of the original people in here...do you guys realize that we have been together for one year, officially in December?! Thats crazy! But a good crazy, lol. Ok, I had a dental appointment today so I skipped the gym and soccer tonight, so no time to exercise, bummer, but Im back in the zone tomorrow and Im going to go hard. |
Hi Girls. Just stopping in real quick. I will catch up more later. I got home from florida last night. I was suppose to work today. But I've been sick for like 4 days now. Good news is.. Just weighed myself and I'm exactly the same. I was proud of myself for staying on my diet despite the vacation.. though I did have some alcoholic beverages which probably didn't help. I hope I'm not on a plateau. Maybe after I get better, I will start losing again. It's been a while since I lost anything=( I need to hit the gym again too... after I'm feeling better of course. Dragging myself out of bed was workout enough. ugh. Ok. TTYL!
|
Neesy - woohoo for holding steady on vacation - that's far from easy! And you've been losing SOOO quickly, it's probably not awful to have given your body a few days to adjust. I'm sure you'll be back in the groove again in no time.
Lindy - great idea on the inspirational photos and what a great thing to do this weekend! I'm working from home as the snow is supposed to get worse today and am thinking about sneaking in a quick trip to the grocery store to stock up in case I can't get around for a few days. Will check in later... |
Neesy- sorry to hear your sick, guess its going around strong these days. Its awesome that you did not gain any weight on vaca, for me, when I only gained 1.5 on my cruise, that was extremely gratifying for me. Oh and alcohol, yeah...that will do it to you, so you must have been eating extra healthy. As far as exercise, let your body rest. There is no point in half arsing something when your not in the mood, you dont get the full experience so just enjoy your rest time and go in guns blazing once your up to it.
Dance - so what are you going to do now that Fall/Winter is here as far as runs go? Are you just going to stick with your row machine, any thought in investing in a treadmill? Although, they can be pretty pricey at times. Anyway, good idea on loading up on the groceries. Do you guys have slim pickings for fruits and veggies since it gets cold there faster? I mean, I know you have things shipped, obviously, but Im sure you pay an arm and leg, no? At least here we can still go to the farmers market to get local farmers fruits and veggies and its not as expensive. Food wise, doing ok today. Im planning on sushi but its budgeted into my calories so I dont care. On a positive note, I did NOT buy a Pepsi today, which is the first time in 2 weeks. I am trying to get back into consuming no soda and little sugar. OH---Dance, your question about halloween candy. I totally caved. I went and bought all of MY FAVORITE candy....sour skittles, nerd and pixy sticks, sugar...sugar and more sugar. AND...I ate a lot of it this past week, here or there. Ill be glad when Halloween is over, it was not a smart choice on my end but I am trying to think with a different mentality moving forward, so Ill stay away from the candy bowl. Ok, Ill check in later. |
Lindy - no way could I survive bags of my favorite candies around the house! Good for you for managing not to polish them off completely. I'll be okay exercise-wise in the cold as the snow usually doesn't stay for long and I have the elliptical and rowing machine. I'll just elliptical this week and let my knee stop hurting while the snow melts and will be back out there soon. I'm okay with running out side as long as the temp isn't below 20. And this means it's the start of snowshoe season which I'm very much hoping will replace this summer's hikes as my major exercise of the week. We'll see how it goes - bf is in a funk again, poor thing so I'm pretty sure he won't be up for getting out this weekend but I'll see if any of my other buddies are interested.
