  • Hello Chickies!

Ya know, I feel so bad that I've been so poor with personals so far this month. It's awesome that so many people are so active in this thread but man does it make it hard to keep up. Just want to throw out a big apology if I miss someone in my personals... I don't mean to, really, I don't!

Now that the downward trend has begun again, I have my positivity back and so I'm just so excited about everything... In just 2 lbs I'll be at the 15 lb mark which is super exciting and Tummy you're right, I may just hit onderland in October like I want to... which is unbelievable. I made a comment to DH last night that I think I'm nearly at the weight I was when he and I got married. So fun!

Tummy - I love me some endorphins. That feeling I get that all is right in the world is priceless. Congrats on taking a minute off your time, that's super! I can't wait until I can build up speed, the idea of being slow is always in the back of my head.

inthemidst - Thanks! I'm glad to be unstuck! Congrats on your half lb as well! Anything in the right direction is good!

idream - You know, I really thought I'd be repeating weeks in the c25k as well and am shocked I haven't had to.... just shocked. I haven't mailed off my registration yet as I found out I have a work trip the friday and saturday before my sunday race and I'm trying to find a different one. It'll work in a pinch but it's not the ideal situation. Congrats on passing up the breadsticks, bread is a weakness of mine!

Delphi - Today was a brutal wake up day for me as well. Sooo badly wanted to hit the snooze button. Oooh shiny new scale! If I had the option I'd get one with the body fat percentage thingy too! Can you imagine?? BLISS!

mystical - happy birthday! i think I might have missed it but better late than never!!!

econ I love camping... it's so relaxing being away from everything and enjoying nature!

Lewis Oh man, PMS, sometimes it's a killer. Glad to hear all those hormones are gone though and you're feeling better!

Shasha - Oh man, that kind of crap is NOT fun, my mom has done that kind of stuff with my name and it's always horrible and humiliating to apply for credit and have them turn me down because of some outstanding bill my mom racked up. Good luck getting it all cleaned up and here's hoping everything works out.

Ms P Oooh class reunion! How fun! I hope your scale comes soon, it's one thing to deliberately not look, it's another to not be able to look!!!

urockmom I had to laugh when you said you were after anything and everything since it was TOM.... there were days in the past when I literally DID eat everything in sight! Good work on the activities though! Staying active helps!!
  • Hey Ladies,

You know, I must admit, I read all these posts and sometime I don't have time to do personals; so I keep in mind. I totally forgot the mention that, Shrinking Girl, I hadn't noticed/realized that our goals, starting weight, and all that are just that close. Ha, I meant to say something before and that memo to self got stored away in a box some where.

And don't even get me started on last winter's weather, Sandye. It was horrible! Yes, I got a white Christmas (for once,) for my Senior year in high school, but it had been SO bad that my mom couldn't go shopping. So, I had a white Christmas, minus the presents. Let me tell you, we didn't know what to do with ourselves. It wasn't like we could go drive and look at the lights on houses or go to church. It was too terrifying. Not last year, but the year before the ice was so bad (in probably March) that my mom's E brake wouldn't stop the car going like 20 mph. This past year, my mother didn't drive at all for the week she got off of work. I refused to walk even on the side walk because even those were just that bad! And this year, (hopefully) I'll be getting my license soon. Needless to say, I'll be taking the buss about 6 blocks to the college come the time that it snows.

As for my Coke free day yesterday, I wasn't miserably mean, but I did chow down on the chocolate. XD After this past week of being so off program, I'm shocked that I haven't gained weight. Not at all. I've done much, much better today. I've already done my work out, lately I've been doing it about 5-6 or later. I think I might reward myself with a little laughter and get my, well, fat cat, a little exercise. He has been eyeing the laser light. He is piratically 20 pounds, and since he's my 'baby' like I remind him all the time in funny voices, I should get him to loose weight too. Though, getting him to watch his food intake will be more difficult. Ahh, well, I've spent quite some time catching myself up and, in general reading today (it's great when you like to munch your boredom away!) so I must be off. I can only imagine how entertaining seeing 3 cats bob their head up and down at the wall, like I did last night.

As for today? I haven't had the urge to drink soda or scarf down chocolate.

    <3 Ladies.
  • Afternoon Ladies,

Just finished showering and getting gorgeous and now I actually have some time to commune with my ladies!

Shasha - Hope your first day back at work wasn't too terrible and wtg on making the best choices!

Dcapulet - I asked myself that everyday, she's three and riding a bike with a helmet and dh and I just stand there and wonder when she grew up on us, you'll have to let me know how cutting thr cord goes on Wednesday.

Delphi - Hey there sexy lady! LOL, if you're talking about my tired picture where I'm the colour of a sheet, I swear everyone loves that one and I just see really big circles and pale. But thank you, it's all just happy, unmarried, uncomplicated bliss most of the time. He's my ying awwwww. Glad you had an awesome time with your little men this weekend, we're gearing up for family movie night around here too.

Jacque - Glad you made it back safe and sound and hope that mom of your is still doing good. Congrats on the workouts too, those ones are hard to do.

Sandye - I like that those ones are adjustable, we're going head into Edmonton something in the next few days so I'll see if any of the fitness stores carry those here, I need something harder! Oh yes, and just regular bands with no handles hurt your hands, it's doable but not as good a workout as with them, you end up not pulling as hard as to not rip your pinky off. Hopefully just tomorrow with the bad band and then we'll pick some up and I'll be cooking again. Me too, my basement is this giant nothingness, we have it insulated, drywalled and the infloor heating in but it's otherwise wide open. I have a rec room area for the dd to play in, my "gym" with tv, floor mats and pull ups for my p90 and my elliptical then storage area all divided by walls made of boxes, soem random appliances and some shelves. It's the definition of ghetto with wolf spiders too! Dd likes to catch them so at least it keeps her busy WTG on the playroom, that must be so nice to have an extra room to send the kids too that's functional. Busy day, oh goodness I never thought of how much laundry you and Delphi must have, oh my!

Econ - Awesome news on the treadmill, it's so nice to watch and walk. All you challenge addicts! Love it.

LE - At least he still loves you, lol, they will just never quite get it but as long as they know how to duck and cover they'll be fine.

Cheri - Welcome aboard, look forward to getting to know you

Bootise - that sounds like a fabulous walk, I love that part about exercising outdoors too.

JasonsLea - Congrats on the early wake up, now just to go to bed early and you'll be all set.

Mystical- Well that just sucks all around but glad it got figured out, must be hard on the boys with school starting being so stressful already. Time to get your groove on now

MsP - Welcome back and at least that's out of the way. So were you friends floored at how tinny tini you are? Any old boyfriends, lol?

Urockmom - well that does sounds entirely fabulous, like a resort and spa all together, fantastic! Welcome back to routine, it's like Christmas for parents.

Ruth - Oh what fun, spontaneous vacation plans! Maybe next year with the bikni? Who knows anythings possible Chinese food is the I bet you'd I'd swell the goodyear blimp and you're almost back to flighting weigh anyway.

Aprilcp - Tons of nieces and nephews to spoil how awesome, we're still waiting for our first ones over here, can't wait. I'm with you on the dark too, although running from the boogie man appears to be popular around here

Laydii - I can't even imagine sending them off to their last year! At least he did good right, lol?

SG - Back to marriage weight, what fun, it's like having a new wife Delphi would insert a bawchickawawa right here but I can't even spell it. Speeds the goal for now and once the p90 is done I hope to work on some more endurance but it will be winter crazy -30 here so that one is going to be played by ear. Hope your first day back at school was fab, ttl.

TTFN ladies, I'll catch up with everyone in the morning, time to eat, I'm starving, careful Sandye, that's the biggest p90 side effect so far, hunger!
  • Tummy - I agree that the P90x makes me so hungary!! I am one week into it so far and really love the Kenpo X and do not like the Core Synergistics (just not strong enough).

Miss Mallee - I groaned when I read your weather reminder. I forgot how bad last year was here in Washington! Here's hoping for a better winter.

Sandye - I wasn't able to read all the posts but it looks like you decided to order P90x. I am viewing it as a necessary evil. It is brutal but you get such a sense of accomplishment when it is over and done with. My husband is even impressed with the intensity of the workouts and is doing it too!

So far no weight loss for September but I can totally feel my body working (am extremely sore) so I know that I am doing well. Need TOM to leave and hopefully I will see a drop in numbers.
  • Hi all, just checkin in Hope you all had a nice holiday weekend. We had a party on Saturday, and I ate a double bbq cheeseburger (oops) on top of a bunch of beer! LoL ... So that was a bad day ... but sunday and monday I did cool, and i'm back down to 141. I hit the elliptical HARD today for 30 minutes, and burned 460 cals. I swear I could feel the alcohol coming out of my pores! hehehe

I've had a REALLY bad day today, so I haven't had one single thing to eat all daY (except coffee this morning) I know that is bad to do, but I received some upsetting news this weekend, and am having trouble gaining an appetite. Im hoping once i get home and unwind, i'll get hungry ...

ANYWAY, enough of that ... you all have a lovely nite and i will check in with you ladies in a bit.
  • Hello Ladies!! I'm back from a 4 day sailing/writing weekend. First time I've ever written on a moving boat! It was amazing. Beaufitul sunset and moonrise on Saturday nite.

I will admit to falling off the wagon all weekend... but scale today said I maintained!!!

    Hope everyone had agreat weekend!!
  • New
    Hi Everyone,

I am new to your thread, but I would love to join in and get inspired & motivated. My goal for September is to lose 8 pounds. I wanted to shoot high and see if I can get there. I have been on a plateau for a month now and it's driving me crazy.
  • Hello my beauties!

Way late for me to be posting so I'll make it quick. Hope you all had a great long weekend. As usual it was hard for me to get in here. My eating was not too good and my weight is up a bit, I know I cannot have gained almost 2 lbs. in a couple of days, so I am hoping it's just the aftermath of not so good eating.
Anyway, back OP today and still working on a good strategy to keep journaling all my food.

Ok, talk to you all tomorrow..

IgetfitNStrongforme (or Red as your avatar says)
  • Jacque - I'm with you. I try to make the most of every minute.

Sandye - Seriously, I shouldn't be on the computer this much either, but now I "have" to be on for school, so getting through three hours of studying deserves a 3FC break And I officially banish SAD from coming to your door this year!! here's a little extra for you.

I'm hurt! somehow I hurt my calf which led to a hamstring injury. I'm sore (but not in tons of pain) but I can't run!! How in the world (besides swimming) can I exercise this week??? Please, suggestions ladies
  • Well, It's getting late, but I managed to get in a 3 mile run in tonight and it was amazing! I missed it so much. Glad I did it!

Hotsplashes~ I am wicked jealous! That must of been amazing!! **sighs** I love being on the water... and time is running out... Winter will be here soon... Then it's Brrrrr and tons of reading and soup!

Well I'm off to bed soon! Good night!!
  • Dcapulet~ Wow that really sucks. I hate when I can't run!! It throws my whole plan off!

Maybe jumping on a stationary bike? That way there's no pressure on your leg?

  • Good Morning Ladies

Shrinking, I hear ya on personals. It can be over-whelming even. You ladies are so wonderful and such a source of encouragement for me, I just love reading up on everyones news. At any rate, thanks Tummy, and yes that was the picture I was speaking about. You two are sooooo cute. Very picturesque! Kinda like peas and carrots..eh? I don't know about the P90x, but with my ST, my hunger increases considerably. So I definitely understand.

Welcome to all the new comers!

As for me, no new scale. Hopefully, I'll get to wally world by the end of the week, but geez. Wont be today, so perhaps Thursday! Well I'm off to get some cardio in, so you ladies take care and have a most groovy day.
