Hi girlies! Happy Friday!

I am up .2 lbs this week. No biggie. I splurged and did a buffet last night with BF and a movie. Ate stellar at the buffet, but couldn't keep my hands out of the popcorn bucket :o. Saw Angels and Demons.... great movie!

So its my Friday off and I think I am going to accomplish a huge amount of my to-do list. The only way to do that, is to start now. Be good and I'll check back later!

Morning. No I did not keep my promise today. Tommy woke up at 3 am throwing up, Mak came in at 430 with a belly ache. Both kids seem to be fine now, Mak threw a fit when I tried to keep her home from school. Tommy seems fine right now, so I hope the worst is over. I am going to get my lawn mowed today and I will probably walk to pick Makenna up from school. We have some beautiful weather coming up this weekend.

Oh ya I drove the truck last night, it was wonderful! I loved it so much, I may steal it after we get all the papers signed and stuff. I have a lot of grocery shopping to do today my cupboards are getting bare. and fridge has no more healthy stuff.

Down a pound! That makes me feel great too!

W 80 oz

Morning girls. Hope everyone is having a great Friday. Mine's starting off okay. It's field day and things were going great but then i had to watch my nephew who is only 4, and not very good at behaving. I made it thru the first dd's field day who is in 1st grade...but had to bring the nephew home for someone else to watch before i go back for dd #2 who is in 3rd grade. My sister and her family are driving me CRAZY!!!! She is 13 years younger than me and 23 years more immature than me. She doesn't pay her rent, doesn't wash any dishes, doesn't half watch her kid, doesn't pick up after herself or her son or husband. I feel like they are just freeloading off me because they eat our food and don't do anything to show their appreciation. They've been here for two months and from the sounds of it....may be here another two months. But i don't think so. I am just about to give them the old "heave ho" right on out of here. My nerves can not take it much more.

Sorry for the rant...but i just am about to hurt someone.

Anyone know about how many calories for a bowl of homemade vegetable soup??? All that's in the soup is cans of corn, cans of veg-all, cans of diced up tomatoes and some strips of ham. To season i put in some garlic powder, some salt, pepper, onion powder and hot sauce. I had to bowls of it last night for dinner. One bowl before going to the gym and one when i got home. I'm guessing one cup can't be more than 100-150 calories.

Yesterday i didn't make it to any classes but i did the treadmill for 30 minutes and the elliptical for 15. It's all the time i had before having to come back home. Today is no class either but i'll be doing the elliptical, the treadmill and free weights for upperbody. I don't have another class until monday morning.

Just caught up on the posts that I've missed.

I think scales lie. I ate pretty well all week, exercised a lot, and yesterday I was up another #2. I basically thought, to heck with this, I quit. Last night I had several glasses of wine and mini rice cakes. This morning I got on the scales so I could beat myself up some more and I was down #2+.????

Nix- I'm with ya for "great in 8". I love this group!

MTig- I need some of your attitude. No matter what the scale says you keep exercising and eating well.

MM- Great exercise challenge this week!

Lumi- Families. I could be a best selling author if I wrote about mine!

JCat- Congrats on the loss!

Lady- How's the WATP 5 mile? I have loads of Leslie Sansone. I've been doing the 3 mile for abs lately.

Rowdy- Glad to see you're settled and had a loss along the way.

YAY Grazie! Stay Pumped! I really feel like we are all gonna pull off some great success this round!

I worked my gluteus gianormatee off yesterday in my house. Wore my calorie counter watch thingy (which I dont always believe) but cleaning my house it said I burnt just under 3000 cals. Not bad, and I did break a sweat. The best part.... woke up to a spotless house this morning. Ahhhhhhhh :beach:

Gonn put together a collage board of what I want to look like, some rewards... something... I just feel like dreaming my way through the day..... I'll come back later and check on you all!

Grazer- You don't want my attitude today, because it sucks, BIG time. Worked my A** off with Bootcamp on W, 5k on Th, took a 3 mile hike last night. The D*** scale has gone up 4.4 pounds this week. It just doesn't matter what I do. I seem to be a helpless victim to these wild gains. My traditional mid-cycle gain should have been around the 16-20th, not 25-30th. What the H***. Talk about wanting to give up. My mind says , why bother?? It just doesn't matter.

Now that I'm done with my whining, I have to find a way to get myself back in the right frame of mind. I am going to show a gain for the month of May. The only other time that has happend was in Dec. Understandable (cookies). I need to get over it and move on. Just not sure how at the moment.

Sorry to be such a downer today. Hopefully tomorrow I will back in the game. Today, I feel like self pity.

Grazer, let's do it again this week. One hour, 6 days this week and let's also add to it, 6 days of OP eating. Leave one day for a treat if we gotta have it, but let's stay OP 6 days. Are you with me?

I didn't lose much if any this week, but I feel better and when my muscles recover from all I am putting them thru (and TOM checks out) I expect a whoosh!!

I hope you are all having a good weekend. I'm at work. :( Little accomplishment yesterday, I actually got up (in the morning!) and went to the gym! It was a hassle, I only have four hours of sleep, the bus ride there was about 45 minutes and the bus ride back was about 70 minutes but I was determined! :D Did all that and went to work. Now, I just need to get to bed on time and I can make this a habit!

Sorry I have been MIA...been busy with the rental cars, and getting rides to work ....sigh...I think I will be finding a car this week I hope ... I kind of got off track...I gained 1 pound back...arrgg..but I don't want it to go any higher...lol...

I have not had a chance to read everyones post to respond so I will look forward to the new posts, and cant wait until we get into our new week...

Shari, you deserve the Determination Award! I certainly wouldn't go to the gym to exercise if I had to ride a bus both ways.

Had my weigh-in today, and while it was only a 4/10 lb. loss, when I looked at my measurements from the 9th of May, when I first started keeping track, I've lost 1.5 inches off my waist, 3/4 inch off my hips, 1 inch off my thighs and 1.25 inches off my arms. So I can see that progress IS being made, it's just not showing up very well on the scale.

And I just got back from an hour in the pool. Plan to do the same tomorrow. (I even wore my hat and sunblock!)

ladynredd...good for you for taking measurements to see results when the scale doesnt' seem to want to coorporate (sp???). I plan to take my measurements on june 1st.

Jayagoddess...i am sure it is very stressfull having to find rides and ride buses around. don't fret. you'll get this solved soon and be on the way to weightloss again soon. keep your chin up and keep at it.

Shari...wow!!! That sounds like a very great accomplishment to get up early and get on the bus to go to the gym. I hope you can keep with this schedule too.

Mmavis...sometimes we put too much pressure on the scales instead of feeling healthy. I want to lose weight but i feel good about myself for getting my heart and lungs healthy.

Today...things are going okay. I think i have eaten too much. I did go to the gym today and worked out an hour. the machines say i burned off 300 calories for just an hours worth of work..but i ddin't get to go to the gym yesterday because i was at field day for 4 hours yesterday. i got sooooo burned. then we went out to dinner. we ate mexican. i had the chicken and cheese quessidillas. i only ate aobut 2 1/2 of them.

anyways, tomorrow, i hope to go to the gym for another hour. Not sure what my monday is going to bring. got to take my car in to be looked at for some repairs. not sure what time i may get out.

Hey girls. Sickypoo here. Mass exodus from both ends and horrible yucky belly all day.. got a can of soup to stay down. I'm hoping it was just food poisoning and not a hang around flu.

Wanted to pop in and see what everyone was up to.

Lady.... I wanted to swim today. Glad someone got to.

UH OH... no more personals for the moment... feeling funking. Be good.

Nixmom....oh no. I hate the "both ends" aches. I hope that it only last one day.

So today is sunday. Suppose to be my one day to rest and not go to the gym. But that isn't going to happen. Since i missed friday and i won't be there this coming weekend, i am going to go today. oh...and to help burn off all that crap i ate yesterday. Not seeing the scale move any. Not really seeing it go up...but it isn't moving down either. A very good reason why i have to take my measurements tomorrow so i can see progress, even if i'm not seeing it on the scale. I think my vacation will count as my excersize though. We are going to Atlanta for the weekend with the kids. We're doing SixFlags, the Georgia Aquarium, The Coca Cola factory and two Braves games. We may even go walking around Underground. So, we'll be getting lots of walking.

Okay...WEED for today:
W- 64 ounces
E- 1400-1500 cal.
E- 1 hour of cardio (treadmill and elliptical)
D- still watching for those pants to fall down...hahaha

Just finished a 1.8 mile run. I actually felt good today. The scale is down a bit today, 191.6. It still means I had a .6 gain for May. That sucks. :( Hopefully I can get a good loss for June. I have 45 pounds to go and it has gotten so difficult. Must keep going right??

3.5 more days of school. Can I even begin to tell you how excited I am. I have to attend 5th grade recognition Wed. night, seeing as I am one of the teachers. Imagine that. Still have awards to get organized, report cards to fill out, room to clean up and put away for summer. It will be a busy week.

Mtiggie - nice run! I can BARELY jog 90 seconds straight. I seriously stare at this cross on my wall that is in front of the treadmill and pray out loud for God to not let me die when I hit 45 seconds. 1.8 miles.... KUDOS DEAR GIRL. (I just started sweating harder just talking about it.

Lumi... way to go making up your gym day today. It took everything in me to walk out my front door and keep walking for 45 minutes.

Okay... so tomorrow starts a new week. I am on my way down the scale. I am weighing 2x a week, on Mondays and Fridays. I want to really start watching my weekends. The time spent bowing to the porcelain throne has definately kick started my weight loss.

Hope all you other girls are doing well... E32? Clykk? Jcat, Nchellie, Jaya, Mmavie, Grazie... fully expect to see you girls on soon! PINKY SWEAR that I'll be here! Week one of my WEED Great in 8 is done! :carrot: See ya tomorrow girls!
