    I was thinking about how crappy I've been feeling lately and I realized that too much shyt is going on. Pending power shut off, rent for next month, lease is about to end so I have to find another place, job makes me want to hurt myself, and the WL thing. So I've decided that I'm hiding the scale till May. I actually went and boxed it up after work. I feel a little better.
  • Shari, maybe you should go talk to a counselor, you deserve to feel better.

    I am focused today. I had an epiphany this AM and I am signing up for a half marathon in September. 13.2 miles. It will force me to stay focused. The entry fee is $40 and I am way too cheap to throw away $40. The sticker is gonna be my knees. I am going to pick up some Osteo Flex stuff and focus on taking off a few more pounds and building my cardio. Hopefully, that will keep my knees in check. I have a plan!

    E Just did 90 & 90 crunches and am headed for the elliptical now. I will take the stairs at work and tonight I will hit the treadmill. Somewhere I have a book on marathon training, I will find that and work from that plan.***I found the book!!***
    E OP - I gave up cheese for lent and I miss it so much. I usually put some on my salad at lunch and ate a string cheese for my snack. My planning is off kilter without it!
    D To the store for Osteo stuff and focuses. I am excited!!

    MM half marathon? cool. I have been thinking about signing up for one. but the distance scares me. the last time I ran 5 miles I spent the next day in bed recovering.

    So the scale still says 146. I thought that maybe I was really dehydrated and once I got in my water it would go up. It didn't I have 2 pounds to go for my easter goal. so I need to be right on plan if I am going to get there.

    I didn't get in my workout this morning because I couldn't get my booty out of bed so I am going to go at 9 instead. Then I have Maks school conference at 1. after that I am going to shampoo my carpets. FUN FUN FUN!

    Its getting time to sign the kids up for swim lessons again. Mak will do Saturday lessons. Tommy will do Tues and Thurs lessons. crazy life is coming back at us.

    E 60 minute cardio today 20 minute abs this afternoon
    E1200 planned out calories.
    D Oh the above list. I also need to get a meal plan for the next week.

    I'm here...i had a birthday, and i fell off plan bigtime. I'm working on it though. i'll post again tonight. no news on job, no rehearsals for a while

    I'm on vacation with my kids over spring break, so my computer access is limited. Just wanted to pop in to say hi, and I'll see you when I get back home.
  • MM- That will be awesome. 13 miles. YIKES!!! They did that last week on Biggest Loser. I was thinking, man, those people are still big and doing 13 miles. But most of them did it. You GO FOR IT!!! And yes I am hoping the damage is minimal. 3 pounds so far, hope it doesn't go higher.

    Jeni- I'm sure you could do a half marathon. you are quite the trooper.

    My friend (who has never been a runner) jog/walked with me tonight. She is getting pretty good. I am telling her she will be doing the next 5K with me. There is one in June and I AM going to talk her into it.

    Jeni, you'll miss the crazy schedule when it's gone. YS will graduate HS in June, I have sat watching some sort of game since OS started Tball and swimming lessons, 18 years ago. (He is 21) Not sure what I will fill my time with. Although, til 9/27 will be training for that 1/2 marathon!! Thinking of becoming a field hockey official in the fall. That would fill the time that football used to take.

    MT, when is your 5k in June? How are the evil 5th graders?

  • Hey ladies!
    My birthday was ok I am still celebrating LOL. I really need to exercise. I dozed off again on the couch yesterday. Not sleeping like normal, not doing much like normal. The thing I do know....I thought about it yesterday:
    1. I managed to control my dog's eating...and he lost 33 lbs. If I can control his eating, I can control mine.
    2. I managed to get my bachelor's degree while working full time, moving into a new house, and taking care of regular life. I CAN lose the weight.

    For my birthday I got my diploma. LOL yes it actually arrived on my birthday. Best birthday present I ever got for myself

    Ok I gotta get ready for work. I'm planning on fixing some salmon for lunch today. Salmon and some asparagus spears and brown rice.

  • Holyt- Congrats. You have that diploma. Feels good, huh??? You are right. You have accomplished great things. You can do this too. I find it is THE hardest thing I've ever done. Harder then being a single mom going to school, harder than getting my masters. It will be so well worth it though.

    MM- Not sure of the date yet, for the 5k. I am actually looking forward to it. I am hoping to get my friend outside at school to do some real training.

    My 4 pound gain is down to 2. I hope it keeps going. I'm giving it my all. I even worked out at 9:00 pm tonight, after conferences. That was a good time. HA!!

    I had to drive my neices to the airport yesterday (a 3 hour drive one way). I should have worked out before I left but I over slept, again. Todays a workday so I will right on with food, and extra laps for exercise.
  • Morning all! It's quiet here lately...
    I am so, so glad it's Friday. I have a hair cut & color tomorrow. Can't wait. I had an appointment 4 weeks ago, but then I had the flu and couldn't make it and this is the first time I've had time to reschedule.

    HT, what a great Birthday present!

  • I will try to post a photo of it tonight for you to see The alumni association called yesterday, asking if i was ready to get my masters. Not yet. I am enjoying not having to write papers. If I found a job that paid better than what i've got now, and that paid even partially to get my masters...then you bet. Until then though, i'm happy with what i have
  • We are missing some people. Where are you??? Down a tidbit today, but I'll take it of course. Worked butt off with Jillian tonight. Her new DVD's are killer.

    Jeni- Long trip, huh?

    MM- With Jillian we did a bunch of ab moves. OUCHY!!! I would rather do the pushups. Did wall squats the other day. OW!!! But I am A LOT better at them than I used to be.

    Holyt- Yeah, don't rush the masters. Take a break.

    How are you all doing?

    So the power got shut off this morning. Thankfully it was in the morning, and I was home so I was able to set out some candles before I left for work. I'm going to see if I can stow what food I have in a neighbor's fridge for a while.

    Crazy, crazy, I finally got my first WAH job offer but all the schedules run into my current job! It was much needed money too, $500 right off bat when I completed training, $8.75/hr. I'm so afraid they are going to take forever to send me another offer!

    Mama and the fam are leaving for Alabama on Sunday.

  • Ah Shari I hope things get better.

    Man I cant believe I haven't checked in befrore now. Work is going good, I am having a great week so far. we are running short handed but it helps the day go fast Everything has been good except for water not usually my hard part. Whats going on? I need a new water bottle is all. I lost mine and havent refilled it at all.
