Ladies, I am on a generator right now for heat and it gave me enough power to run the computer for a bit, I was one of the ones involved in the ice storm here in Missouri, and have been out of electric for 3 days now, please pray for our area and the others hit by this, it may be another week before electic is restored and longer for others, miss you all but I will be back soon, Love, hugs and prayers, Christie

Christian, hi! I am so sorry tohear that you are without power. We were without power 3 or no 4 days during an ice storm not too long ago and that was wild eno ugh let alone it being longer....it was kind of romantic at first lighting the candles at first and felt neat powering up the generator here and there so we didn't freeze our butts off! lol ........buttttttt it does wear mighty thin after a while!!! Nothing like a hot shower!!!!!! Despite you being out of electricity, you still managed to come in and say hi to us. OMG, i just had a thought, your daughter!!!!!!! How is your daughter???? Is she okay with the power outage and all? Hang tough and wishing your power and all the good peoples power is restored in a very speedy fashion! :hug:

lene and urock mom, hugs hugs. Today is our last day of the month girls. We start a new day and new month tomorrow. The clock is ticking, I need to make it a s uper month....I must I must.........I want to b4e ready this time! I feel like I have been complaining on here when I am sick and i don't like that but the truth is I am sick again! lol and pretty darn frustrated about it! I missed my workouts yesterday and today and beleive me that is no excuse, I literally did not feel well enought but i did clean for 4 hours yesterday to burn cals and went out to lunch today with Dh to get out!

I have been doing great in the exercise andhealthy eating and god I do not want to get sick again, I quit smoking and started exercising and doing everything righttttttttttt..........I was sick much too much this past year and that is concerning to me as I was the type to NEVER get sick before. Oh well, guess it takes time....stressing about it wont do any good. Here is to hoping I am well enough to work it tomorrow.......I need it and want it bad, it is day 2 of my new week and I absolutely cannot miss another workout day, not if I am going to kick it this month! Spring time and mild weather always sneak up and I so want to be ready! I also cannot wait!

Well, before I go off on another tangent.....i will just wish you all a great saturday night. Take care my freinds and stay well!

Fullsteam: I am sooo sorry you are not feeling well again! Once spring comes, we can air out the house and get rid of all these nasty germs! My family is getting sick again too. Just a matter of time before I get my turn again. I think this winter has been hard with illnesses. At school, a lot of staff and students are getting sick. I try to wash my hands a lot. They have gotten so chapped by all the washing. Don't ever worry about complaining. We take the good and the bad here. We cheer you or hug you. :hug: to you! Feel better and keep working it!

Christian: I am sending good thoughts and prayers your way!

Well, I went to a superbowl party and actually ate pretty healthy. I was actually geared up to eat like crap, but my gracious friends prepared relatively healthy options. I don't even think I used all my point for the day! I definitely got my fair share of SALT though. Oh well, I can take some water weight gain rather than real fat! I just started thinking about how close I am to the 170's and feel a renewed sense of purpose on this little journey of healthy living. I know I want this so badly and I deserve to be healthy and happy. It's time to take good care of myself so I can take good care of my family. I feel so good right now, though I probably am not down an ounce from 5 days ago. It's becoming more real I guess.

Hattie, thanks...you made me feel better, I was panicking! I hope your family and you are feeling fine. You know what? I was better yesterday and even better today....the bugger did not get a hold of me this time! So thankful for that! No excuse for me not to hop on the treadmill today and boy oh boy do I have to push myself to do it....Having those few days off from it made me get out of the groove. Hattie, your smart to wash your hands often in school etc. THanks again lady :hug: and hope you had a great weekend!.

Ms. perception, wtg on staying on track on the super bowl and for staying right with it and keeping on truckin! :)

How is everyone else doing?

As for me ladies, I was bad bad bad yesterday and late sat., I completely went off yesterday and wasn't mindful of anything. Today is a new day and promised myself to go right back to it strict again today and start the exercise again.....not letting a bad day or two spiral again (like during thatholiday vaca. etc) because I have such a hard time getting back on after. Anyways, that's the plan girls!
DH and I are going grocery shopping tonight and I am going to stock up on ingredients and plan my meals for the week.
I bought a really cool book yesterday called "eat this and live" by dr. colburt........the info in there rocks, I just love that book and now would like to get his other book (ny times best seller) "The 7 pillars of Health". I love how he goes in depth into explaining things, so good!
Oh boy, guess i better get ready and go on that treadmill. I am lucky to have it, I just can't wait to get outdoors for my walking.....soon! Hope you all have a great day, let's keep on truckin' ladies. :hug:

I weighed-in and was right. I'm exactly where I was last Wednesday. I wasn't completely OP on our little mini-vacation (3 days). It's hard at restaurants that you can't easily check the nutritional info for, but oh well. I tried most of the time...with planned desserts and stuff. Time to get back to exercise...it falls off my schedule WAY too easily!

I have been MIA ...... I was very bad last week.. I just logged my hours and I was very honest. I was a slacker. But I am feeling motivated today, and ready to do my exercise. I also went to the store last night to do some healthy shopping for the week. :carrot:

I am sure that I have missed quite a bit, and have not yet read everyone's messages......

:coach: we have like 2 weeks left ladies ....we can do this...and some of you have already met your challenges....woohoo....and keep it up.

I am nervous for when I step on the scale.... GULP....we shall see ...no matter what the results are I know that I have made a lot of progress. :)

Just a quick check in, I am at dads for a shower ;) It has been a week now without power and I am really not doing well ladies, we have been ordering out and trying to get hot food where ever we can, I am up about 3 pounds so I will have to lose them before the end of the challenge, but to be honest, I am emotionally drained and it is hard to focus right now, oh how I will love to hear the washer and dryer and shower run again :D Keep up the great work everyone and if you are having trouble, just know you are not alone, and we can and will do better :grouphug: Oh and Marissa is getting better everyday..less pain and moving better, her check up is today but with the conditions being the way they are we may move it up a day or two.. Hope to be back online soon...with power ;) hugs and prayers, Christie

I am so sorry that I have been so quiet. It just seems that I haven't had a minute to myself over the last week to check in with all of you. I think that I am all caught up on the posts but if I have missed something or someone, I'm sorry!

It seems that a lot of us are going through a bit of a slump right now. I haven't gained any weight over the last 2 weeks but I haven't lost any either. :( I think that I am going to try really hard to stay OP and eat clean over the next two weeks (well, three for me since I am aiming for when I go on vacation). I would really like to get a few more pounds off before I have to put on summer clothes!! :yikes: those legs are pale!

Does anyone know anything about calorie cycling? I thinking about doing this but don't really know how. I am also going to go check out the calorie counters thread to see if I can get some ideas.

Hattie~ CONGRATULATIONS!!! :bravo::woohoo::cheer2::yay::woohoo: You must be so proud of yourself! 50 pounds gone FOREVER!!!

Christie~ Oh, sweetie. :hug: I am so sorry to hear that you are still without power. I know just how you feel. It is so tiring to figure out how and what you are going to eat, where you are going to shower, how the clothes & dishes will get washed, how to stop the pipes from freezing. You take care of yourself and we are praying for you. :angel:

Buns~ :bravo: WOW! 5 pounds in 1 week. You are rockin' it!!!

Jaya~ :yikes: I, too, am afraid of the scale this week. I usually weigh everyday but maybe I'll wait until Friday to give myself some time to get back on track. Let's keep our :crossed:.

FSA~ I just did a long (for me anyway ;)) run of 4.2 miles so I am giving you some :dust: to get up on that treadmill.

MsP~ Here is some :dust: for you too so you get your exercise in. I know it is frustrating to stay in the same place as I seem to be stuck too!

Good morning everyone! :)

Hope you all had a good night last night. I slept very well and onto a new day. Yesterday went much better and I managed 2 sessions on the treadmill ( I really struggles with the first one). It felt really nice feeling well again and being back on my shedule. I had too many starches yesterday though so I must work harder....goal is to have very strict month but one step at a time.

Ms perception, hang in there. You have been steadily losing weight every week and your body may just be stabilizing that loss, I think you are doing fantastic! :carrot::carrot: Keep up the great work.

Jaya, wtg on getting back on track and the healthy food shopping.

Christian, heyyyyyyy girl .....thanks for popping in to say hi. Jeez we miss you, I hope you get your power back. When we lost power as all we did was get take out! Christian, no worries girl, just take care of yourself and we will all be here when you come back and once you go right back to it I am sure those pounds will come right off. I am so happy to hear that your daughter is doing well and recovering in a speedy fashion.

urockmom, hi there! wtg on that workout! :carrot::carrot: Taking off for a vaca in 3 weeks sure is good incentive! I don't know too much about the calorie cycling but in the past heard them mention about calorie zig zagging, going up one day and down the next....from what I understand it basically keeps your body from getting too adjusted or comfortable and can spike metabolism by throwing this little curveball at it. Changing your meals and content of meals can also do the same thing if one eats the same things day in day out, the body adapts over time. Your idea of going to the calorie counters is great, I am sure they will be able to help you more with that.
I will be working on some more things to rev up my metabolism along the way as well......protein always worked like a charm for me, particularly chicken and fish.........especially fish ( I lose fastest when I eat that). With that being said, I ought to pick some up! I havn't really done the mini meals idea every 2 hours or so to keep metabolism revved because I like my larger dinners! lol I do have a healthy snack though inbetween. I don't know if I helped at all, I feel more like I rambled! lol :) anyways my dear lady, kick it! :carrot::carrot: and stick around because I want to kick it with you too!

Well I better get a move on, it's treadmill time! I am stuck home today, the car needs fixing and plus there is snow on the way so I keep busy with my workout and chores.
