5 Pound Challenge #42
 
Here we go! It's challenge number 42!

Everyone is welcome, hop in at any time.

Here's what to do: We're out to lose 5 pounds. No matter where you're at in your weight loss, it's helpful to break down your loss into small goals like this. Just post your SW (starting weight) as of today, your CW (current weight) which is whenever you weigh in and your GW (goal weight) which is five pounds down from the day you joined in.

Weigh in whenever you like and come tell us about it! You can weigh in as often as you like - some of us do it everyday, some once or twice a week.

The first one to hit five pounds lost gets to start the next thread!

I didn't weigh in today, but I'll weigh in tomorrow. I think this is just what I need. I have so much weight to lose, and it feels overwhelming. I haven't had a stellar beginning. I can't really picture myself eating the way I need to, being thin, having exercise be a regular part of my life. I'm not really sure what I'm doing, what the magic combination will be for the perfect food plan for me. Right now I'm just eating 1500 cal or less.

Anyway, I'm blathering on.

But 5 pounds. I can see that. I know how to get there. So I'm in.

I don't know if 144 even means anything. I weighed today and yesterday on my own scale, but at my sister's house. The first time I stepped on it it said 151. Finally it seemed to settle on 145 (yesterday) and 144 today, but I think that's probably higher than I would have weighed at home - but who knows :dizzy: I guess tomorrow (my first morning weighing on my scale on my own bathroom floor) will tell the tale :o

If eating ... generously ... once in a while is good for the metabolism, I'll do well ;) Unfortunately, I have Christmas #2 to attend tomorrow. But I have a sore throat and achies coming on, so I may beg off of making cookies tomorrow morning. We'll see.

I'm always envious of those people who need to "take off 5 lbs" I think "Wow, I wish I only had 5 lbs to lose, if only!" But this thread has made me realize, hey, we all lose it one pound at a time. This is thread #42, that's 210 lbs., that's really inspiring! So, I'm just going to take off 5 lbs ;) and if you don't mind, I think I'll try to get there first. :p See you on thread #43!

I'm so relieved to see the scale back down (even if not to baseline), but I'm still nervous about what the next couple days will do. I have Christmas #2 to do today, and lunch is to be "light" so we can "focus on dessert" :o

It hurts to type 196 as my goal because I was just there about 2 weeks ago. Where did this 5 pounds come from? Christmas maybe. I also have one more gathering today, then I need to kick it into gear.

I'm in...looks like this will be a short one, the way you gals are going! I'm down 1.4 from yesterday, but still running high from the Christmas thing. This is my third challenge, and my goal weight keeps going up...I'm so done with that! Back OP since yesterday, though, and feeling good today!

I'm in on this challenge! I got "lucky" and was sick on Christmas and still not feeling up to par yesterday so that saved me a ton of calories. I wasn't able to weigh today because I wasn't home this morning but I'll start with yesterday's weight.

I'm still happy compared to 1 week ago, but it was so nice to see the 250s on the scale yesterday. I'm learning not to stress over the short-term changes. TOM showed up this morning as well so it's most likely contributing to the craziness. Still on plan as strong as ever!!!!

Barb - Ah, those dastardly scales. They tease us all. You are strong! You'll get back to the 250's in no time!

As for me, I'm just verrrrry slowly losing. Almost back to my pre-christmas weight, though. I start doing sit-ups today, too. Gotta get those abs in shape.
