The weekend at my mother's was not as bad as I though it would be. I gained slightly less than a pound, which is pretty much on par for my normal weight fluctuations.
Too bad it was icy the whole time so I couldn't even get a decent walk in.

No change for me today. My period is acting sort of funny this month (sorry if TMI) and I'm sure that's a big part. I'm not slacking off one bit and I know it will pay off again soon. I'm so close to 80 pounds gone. That would be a nice even number to end 2008. :)

Yeah, I think the results of Christmas plus not exercising are showing up. :o I think this might be a one pound month. Of course, the upside of that is I'll be excited if I squeeze out 2 pounds ;)

FB, sounds like we're in about the same place. Yesterday I walked 30 minutes instead of running. Went out to do the same this morning, and I actually jogged a couple 1/4 mile stretches - which was depressing, because even that was so tough.

The end of this month has been tough guys. I'm hanging in but not counting on any loss. I'm holding steady at 168-169 this week. Christmas indulgences (including alcohol) and lack of working out. My gym has been open odd hours (not that that should be any kind of an excuse - I could do stuff here at home or outside - it's not that cold) which has messed up my schedule some.

And generally I just feel ... BLAH. This year did not go the way I'd hoped it would in a lot of ways and it's looking like a lot of the garbage that I'd hoped to be shed of will be carrying through into 2009. I'll deal, but it's disappointing.

I've also sorta, kinda given up on any more loss this year. :) I know I'm going to drink champagne on NYE and that we'll have snacks and such for the ball games on NYD. Then Saturday I have a wedding and we all know what wedding food is like.

I'm going to hit the gym this evening for some cardio just to keep me from creeping back into the 170s - because if I do, I'll start cutting off body parts, I swear it! :lol:

But I told DH that this weekend, after NYD is over with - I am sweeping the fridge and the pantry again and we're getting rid of ALL junk. All of it. His, mine, whatever. It's going. I did it for so long and then he moved back in and it all came creeping back. And it's not going to happen again.

Hang in there PhotoChick. I have some big things I wish I was leaving in 2008 too, but I didn't :(. I'm working on goals and plans for 2009 that will be really good for me, but without setting myself up to fail. It's a hard balance to strike. It's funny that I could nail the weight loss thing this year, but be a mess in other areas. I think one of the keys to maintaining in 2009 will be working on a number of nonweight related areas in my life. Stress, no matter where it comes from, can derail the weight and food thing for sure.

Same, but I'm not surprised or even upset. I have eaten out every night since Christmas Eve, on the 24th I was my lowest weight in 8 years, 162. All my friends are in town visiting, and fitting work and family in this season has been a challenge. Tonight, going out again, and tomorrow is New Years Eve. Like Photo, I am not expecting a further loss until January.

Same here, Julie. I've just learned to accept that some things will fall by the wayside when I'm hyperfocused on one area in particular, usually something new to me. I feel like I could focus on some other goals now, though, without dropping the ball on eating right and exercising. I'm ready for the next phase, you know?

Kali, WTG with the sit-ups! I'm trying to get back in the habit of doing those every morning like I did before. Since I tried putting it with lifting, it doesn't seem to be as good as doing just a few a day, and it's also hard for me to motivate to do multiple sets of abs after lifting.

FB, I'm holding steady, as well. I think this is the first time I've seen the exact same number 3 mornings in a row...weird!
