Okay, I'm in! This is my first challenge, too. I am superexcited about actually getting in here and sticking to my plan.

Since, I have a lot to lose and I am just starting (actually starting on Monday, for financial reasons), I am going to shoot for 10 pounds this time around.

SW:298.8
GW:288.8

I hope we all do well!

I've logged everyone that's joinged up to this point! So far there are 23 of us! It's SO awesome to have so many new faces that I've never seen before!

I'm looking forward to the challenge!

Just a little more "maintenance" the way that it works is that you PM me your weigh in every week, rather then post it on the thread. i'm not that observant to see everyone's weekly weigh in post, especially since several of us update daily!

If you haven't posted your 10 posts yet and don't have Private Message privledges - then you can post on her - but make sure it's big - bright & loud so I see it. Also - GET TO POSTING!!! I post more then 10 a day! You have PLENTY of time to hit your 10 before the challenge "officially" starts!

I get to start my new healthy lifestyle tommorrow!

I was planning to start on Monday because that's when I'd have my weekly grocery $$$, but guess what? A cousin who borrowed money from me months ago and never paid me back, stopped by out of the blue this afternoon and paid me back! Divine intervention?

My first stop? The grocery store! I stocked up well and good. I just got back and I am raring to go. That ten pounds I'm hoping to lose for this challenge doesn't stand a chance!

Hi everyone. I have not been on here in a long time. I think a challenge is the short term goal I need so I am in!

SW: 247.6
GW: 237.6

I know it is ambitious but I need to push myself. I haven't done anything in a while (have a newborn) so I need this.

Good luck!

peach - Don't you LOVE when there's that intervention? Plus you got to stock up on good stuff right before the bingend ... um I mean weekend!

hunnas - #10 is aggressive for 4 weeks, but if you really push yourself you can do it!

Is there going to be a separate chat threat, or will it be on here?

Either way, what are all you ladies doing as far as a plan for the challenge?

Hi Stacy, I'm following IE (Intuitive Eating). Not a diet at all. And am exercising 30 min a day on the treadmill. Not sure if Eny will start a new thread or not tho.

WELCOME!!!

Stacy - i will start a new thread when the challenge starts - just because it's easier to start with a fresh thread. But you will have to PM me all of your weighins and any other information for the mini-challenges.

If you don't have PM access yet (have to have posted a min of 10 times) then you better GET TO TALKING CHICKS!!!

The challenges I start have a pretty solid following, and we're all quite chatty - that's why I don't want to have the weekly results posted on the thread. Also, I don't want a separte thread for just weigh ins - because that discourages people from coming in and posting and getting the support for the ups and downs that they expierence.

If you want to see an example of how things are done, please go and check out the "Seeing Myself Naked is SCARY" thread... you'll get a jist of the way that Mel and I run things

And to answer your other question - I'm a calorie counter (with the help of myfitnesspal.com) I'm allowed 1200 net calories a day. (calories consumed - calories burned through exercise = net) On this plan I should lose about #1.4 a week. I just started id a week ago though, and just started getting back into my 30 mins/day workouts... I dropped #3.4 this week, but a lot was water weight from when TOM left. I'm not complaining though!!!

Maybe I haven't been around the forum long enough to understand how this site tracks challenges week by week, but by looking at the previous challenge referenced it doesn't appear to log every person's individual progress each week. I thought self accountability was the motivator here. How do you provide each other motivation and support without knowing their specific ups and downs each week? Maybe I just don't understand.
