So how did your relaxing night go, Econ? Are you out of the jammies yet :D

econ nerd 11-01-2008 06:58 PM

It went well :carrot: I was snoring by 9:30 and didn't roll outta bed until nearly 9am this morning :D I did get out of my jammies but only because we had to go and run a few errands. Once my jammies were out of the dryer I put them back on ;) I sat in front of the computer watching TV shows missed and surfing most of the afternoon. I did do my couch to 5K run this morning and it felt great. My eating has been good all day too. Nice relaxing day (which I really needed) :smug:

Tomorrow will be a test. Sunday is usually my treat day. We plan to go out for lunch and supper so I will try to eat reasonably (although I must have a lobster roll for supper - we are trying out a place that apparently makes great lobster rolls) Lunch is probably greek food - which might be OK for making a good choice. No extra treats though (except a 100 calorie pecan roll for breaky) No chips or chocolate or other no-needed junk for me. I don't want to spend all week trying to recover for what I add on Sunday...

MamaGettinFit 11-01-2008 08:06 PM

Ohhhh I am so jealous of your relaxing weekend :p mine has been anything but that, unfortunately. Hubby is on an extended trip and I have barely seen him for the past month and I am just stressed out trying to be superwoman here.

BUT I decided to try out doing the C25K in the house. My home opens into a big circle and I often put on my IPod and walk laps, so I figured why not do the program in here? It's not as intense as running outside I don't think, but it's something, right? I am going to do day one right now!

Hey ladies, sorry I've been MIA latley. Had a crazy end of last week and drill this weekend...which mean, yes, I've fallen off the wagon yet again. Ate whatever I wanted to all weekend. Failed for the first time at the C25K. Attempted week 6 day 3 and only made it about 7 mins...I forgot my inhaler and my lungs just couldn't keep going. Planned on trying it over last night but got home too late. I actually have today off so I'm on my way downstairs to bond with the treadmill. Will let you know how it goes! :)

econ nerd 11-03-2008 07:42 PM

So I did OK on Sunday (mostly...) My weight was up a bit on this morning but not bad. My biggest cheat was a piece of tollhouse pie with a small scoop of icecream :o Today I am back on track but I have come down with a cold. BLAH! I did my couch to 5k run this morning and it was good. I napped this afternoon and am ready to hit the sack soon. How many calories in a shot of Nyquil?? ;) Hope to shake this soon. I don't like being sick. Hope everyone did well on their 8days :)

MamaGettinFit 11-04-2008 12:54 PM

Hope you feel better soon econ. We are passing a cold around here as well, and it's getting colder outside, leaves falling everywhere, fall sucks :(

econ nerd 11-04-2008 01:03 PM

I'm still feeling pretty ratty. I was sound asleep by about 8:30 last night and slept straight through until 5:30 this morning. I still feel dead tired though and can't wait to go home and veg out. I have a class to teach from 2-3:15 and am going straight home from there. Wish I could cancel the class but I am doing a guest talk in someone else's class...

I have no appetite and am also having trouble getting my water in. I need my fluids but just don't feel like drinking (or eating) - I'm forcing myself to get something in though... I'll feel worse if I don't.

JamieJo 11-04-2008 03:15 PM

Gosh - I'm in Wisconsin today and it's 75 here! CRAZY! I'm wearing sandals! I bet we will be in for it when it's supposed to be back in the 30's on Friday...

MamaGettinFit 11-05-2008 05:07 PM

Econ--hope you are better soon, you sound so miserable girl :(

JamieJo--it was in the high 70s here as well and SO NICE :)

Blue Serenity 11-05-2008 11:24 PM

Hi everyone, I've been MIA in this thread for a little bit. Been concentrating on becoming an intuitive eater, so not much into setting goals right now.

Econ, hope you're feeling better today!

Wow, JamieJo and MamaGettinFit! Nice weather! I want some!

JamieJo 11-06-2008 09:19 AM

Hey guys - Sorry, I've slacked on the goal writing. I think I've come to the conclusion that I am done dieting...I'm just going to try to make the right choices. I've been kicking butt with my C25K but still not loosing...But I just feel better and know that I look better... :)

Have you considered Intuitive Eating? You can click on the link in my signature for some general info on it. It is not a diet, but teaches you to make peace with food.

JamieJo 11-06-2008 11:14 AM

Wow Blue - How come I haven't heard of this before today? Just reading the "what's Intuitive Eater" part of the page...that is pretty much what I've already decided on doing. I'm just sick of this image that if I get to 139, then, and only then, will I be really happy with myself. I look fine at 160 and now that I am toning everything up with exercise, I don't feel so "pooey" about my body. Have I told you how much I love you? I'm going to go spend some more time looking around that site! :)

 I'm glad you're finding that info helpful! I recently bought the book and am very excited about what I am learning from it. There is an Intuitive Eating thread here on the board, too.

Here is IE #8 thread.

I think we're starting an IE#9 soon, so watch for it!

JamieJo 11-06-2008 11:20 AM

Just ordered the book...
